If you arr in Berkley you gotta stop by this place. You will be happy you did.
Love the people! So friendly and helpful!
A fantastic & completely lovely dispensary on its way to great things, keep up the great work guys! 👽
Very friendly and knowledgeable lady working there
This is the 2nd time now where I've waited at the front desk for 15 minutes, didnt get greeted, while 2 women just talked and didnt care about making a big sale. I left and went to another dispensary. This is supposed to be a business, not a chat hangout.
My favorite spot 😍All the ladies are so sweet and always have the best product 🤩
Wonderfully knowledgeable staff and excellent products! Something for everyone here.
Went today and both ladies are so knowledgeable and eager to help! Definitely will be back
Decent store but the quality of the product is basic there's no top shelf for concentrates or cartridges. No live resin cartridges and 1 option for dabbers.
Sometimes it's slim pickens but I hold out. Don't wanna go anywhere else. Great people. Great smoke. The daily deals are amazing.
TL;DR:+ Friendly+ Promos and discounts+ Brand variety-- Stock/inventoryUpdate: 9/20/2023Not even an hour after I posted my original review where I mentioned my broken carts, my phone rang: Megan had seen my review come in and wanted to let me know what they’re going to do to correct my situation. In my initial review, I mentioned some weird things going on with the pricing where it seemed like only my go-to strain that I ask about every time I go in had increased in price. After speaking to Megan, it sounds like this can happen from one harvest to the next as some growers—i.e. Hillfire—price each strain according to its THC content, which fluctuates not just strain to strain but harvest to harvest. To be clear, I still don’t like it! Ultimately, while the price increase is likely legit, the other dispensaries don’t seem to adjust their pricing in this way and, instead, have allowed each strain to settle at one set price. But as long as I make my visits on Flower Fridays, the price change won’t matter. (Update: The next week, the Flower Friday promo was amended. It no longer includes eighths priced over $45. 😔)I appreciate everything the AMC crew has done to fix the issues I was having, but I’m leaving my review at 4 stars because (1) the problem I had wasn’t factored into my score in the first place and (2) the main reason for the star decrease was the inventory problems, which has definitely not been fixed; at least for now, AMC tends to have no more than 5-10 strains of flower with roughly the same number of strains in cartridges. It’s actually getting harder to shop here solely because it’s usually the case that they’re out of all the products I usually buy.So for now, my only real issue with Appalachian Medical Cannabis is their inventory. Hopefully, this continues to get better until they eventually have as good a selection as NewLeaf.*********************Love Megan and the Appalachian team! The AMC team is always super friendly. They remember me by name and keep track of the products I like so they can try to keep them in stock. Out of all three dispensaries in Berk./Jeff. Counties, they absolutely have the best discounts.I also really appreciate that they sell all in-state brands, including Country Grown--although I don't know how many more CGC products I'll be buying. (I touch on that later...)However, there's always room for improvement.Until today, the only issue I'd had at AMC was their inventory; they just went almost 2 weeks with between 2 and 4 vape options and like a dozen or so strains in flower. To be fair, I don't expect NewLeaf levels of inventory, and I can't be sure how much was due to recent shortages (e.g. I know Hillfire got a little behind on some of their harvests), but I feel like I have to mention it because it does affect my experience. Then today, I noticed some price INCREASES. I can't say how many for sure--it's possible it's only one--but I know one of them is my go-to strain that I buy almost exclusively when in stock, and it's gone from $45 to $50 per eighth. I'm trying not to read too much into this, especially when there may be legitimate reason for this. But having checked the other two dispensaries and seen they're still selling that strain for $45, it just feels icky and kind of... deliberate.I also just had an experience where I bought three RAD carts from AMC and ALL THREE OF THEM FAILED. (I know RAD carts are from Country Grown so it's not a reflection on Appalachian, which is why this part of my experience wasn't factored into my overall score.)If I could post half-stars, I'd probably have this review at 3.5 stars for the moment, but I'll return to update if/when my issues are resolved.
Fantastic dispensary! Inventory is great and the staff are very knowledgeable, genuine human beings. Chris (the owner), Megan and Lauren keep me coming in again and again. Highly recommend!
Megan(I think that's the manageable name) lol and the staff are awesome! Super friendly and helpful. I love visiting this store.
