Lifter
Overview
Lifter is a hemp hybrid cultivar with a bias for its sativa dominance. It is a hemp cultivar which means that is has very low levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This is the compound that causes the “high-feeling” that is associated with marijuana. In most cases the THC amount will not get past 0.3%, however this will vary based on the time of harvest. This means that the Lifter strain will not be lifting you to a zone of euphoria after all. Contrary to that, Lifter will melt your body aches away and may compel you to feel more energetic and focused.
Lifter strain is a cross between Suver Haze and Early Resin. It was created by Oregon CBD and was intended to provide high amounts of cannabidiol (CBD). Most phenotypes will have 12%- 25% CBD.
Lifter strain flowers are narrow and wispy. They hues are bright green with orange hairs that turn brown when the buds are ready for harvest. You may be able to spot some hints of purple if the plants were exposed to cold temperatures in the vegetative phase. At harvest, expect to see a layer of milky and sticky resin glands on the surface of the buds. The frosty appearance of the buds may not be so pronounced when the plants are grown outdoors. The buds will cling together and form colas at this time and the flowers may take a yellowish appearance.
Lifter has a pungent aroma with hints of citrus. You may also be able to detect the presence of humulene which has a woody aroma. Generally, Lifter is a terpene rich strain that produces a wide array of smells. When the plants are ready for harvest it will be difficult to conceal a canopy of Lifter growing indoors.
Apart from the high CBD content, Lifter has large amounts of other cannabinoids such as CBDA and CBG. Some phenotypes have shown the following breakdown:
CBD – 24%
CBLA – 0.01%
CBCA – 0.73%
CBGA – 0.41%
THC – Less than .3%
CBDA- 16%
Strain Type
Lifter is an sativa hybrid leaning hemp cultivar. It has 12%-25% CBD and less than 0.3% THC.
Origin
Lifter is a hybrid cross between two rare strains; Suver Haze and Early Resin. Suver Haze is a hemp strain with high CBD levels. It is a mold resistant strain that gives high yields. These characteristics are passed on to Lifter. Early Resin is a berry flavored strain that is also a hemp cultivar. With high CBD amounts it is cultivated as a medical grade strain.
Lifter strain was initially bred by Oregon CBD.
