Lemon Alien

Overview

This is an indica dominant hybrid strain with 70% indica and 30% sativa. It is a creation of La Plata Labs as a hybrid between Super lemon Haze and Alien Bubba strain, both of which are powerful strains with strong genetics. Lemon Alien is also known as Super Lemon Alien strain

This strain has a sweet and spicy flavor while the scent is a mix of tropical and herbal. Like most indicas, the plants grow short and bushy with broad leaves. The buds are heavy and dense with orange colored pistils and white trichromes.

Lemon Alien has a number of therapeutic properties; most notably it may be used in the treatment of glaucoma.

It is fairly easy to grow and does well both indoors and outdoors. Like most indicas, it gives a bountiful yield and takes a short time to flower.

Terpene Profile

Myrcene

A study conducted in 2011 showed that myrcene has both anti-inflammatory and sedating effects. This may contribute to the indica-sedating effects of this strain. This means that a full spectrum extract from this strain may work well to treat insomnia.

Linalool

This terpene is responsible for the floral scent of Lemon Alien strain. Linalool is abundant in Kush strains of cannabis as well. This terp is good for aromatherapy and it helps in elevating the moods and treating symptoms of depression.

Caryophyllene

When you open a jar of Lemon Alien and sniff into it, your nostrils are likely to get stung by some spicy fumes which betray the presence of caryophyllene. This terp has a spicy scent and it has anti-inflammatory as well as anti-anxiety effects.

Terpineol

This terpene also has a floral aroma and it is great at uplifting the mood.

Being an indica, this strain has a very relaxing effect on the body that may tend towards being highly sedative. The cerebral effects will set in slowly but may leave you completely “spaced out” after an hour or so. This makes Lemon Alien a good strain for evening or night time use when you want to get rid of fatigue and fall into deep sleep. In case you take this in the morning, be prepared to take a nap in the course of the day. New patients especially may be overwhelmed by the effects of this strain. It has moderate THC levels of between 12%-15% and CBD of less than 1%.
