A quick google search of how this company treats its employees as well as the plant itself will tell you everything you need to know about this place. If you actually care about quality products and the company you support, there are others in the area. The Botanist doesn’t deserve to be involved with the industry and should be shut down for the sake of the plant. If you truly want the best experience with cannabis, this place is not it.

If i could give zero stars i would. the “new staff” is horrible, their recommendations are horrible. They know nothing about cannabis. The manager in there is sloppy and doesnt know how to speak to people… not sure why or how he is the manager. . not sure what the short blond girls name is but i have seen her smoking in the parking lot in her car before going in almost all time she is there the windows arent that tinted. everyone can see what she is doing. she is also rude, knows nothing about capsules tinctures or flower which is 70% of the menu and the staff love to point out when she calls out… which apparently is all the time and the reason why there is such a long wait. This place and its staff is a joke. i bring in people and purchase for them because the staff doesnt care and they allow other people to do it. they say nothing. I only brought someone in because they let someone who didnt have a card in with someone who had one, and allowed the both of them to purchase under the actual patients profile. so if you are looking for a corrupt medical dispensary this is the one they follow regulations set by the ocm. i hit my limit on a product in curaleaf or etain i go to botanist cause they dont keep track or care about the limit, they only care about they money they make. last year around this time this was the place to go the two managers they had were welcoming knowledgeable and kind. the short guy they had on the tv think his name is joe… i wish he still worked he was the only reason i shopped here. now its a garbage show ran by children who get high in the parking and dont care about the people they help. DONT SHOP HERE ! security guards they have do not make me feel safe at all looks like the company hired kids out of high school who have a blank stare to secure and protect thousands of dollars worth of cannabis products.

It was one of the worse experiences. My son drove up from Middletown to.Sullivan county to drive me to the botanist for my 2nd purchase of the gummies. I could not find my card, but I thought you put the info in your computer, but that nasty man behind the glass said I had to send for a temporary card, again. And he couldn't do anything. He kept interrupting me as I tried to explain. Of course my son had to take me back without the gummies in alot of pain. I dont understand how your company can keep a person like that.

After having some less than ideal experiences with another MMJ dispensary in my area, I voiced my frustrations to my healthcare provider. She let me know that *many* of her patients have the same issues with this other dispensary - often out of the products I use, encouraging me to smoke/vape, not able to answer questions, etc. From the moment I walked in to the Botanist, it was a wonderful experience.First, the parking lot is spacious and the entrance is accessible. They took care of me right away in the lobby, and were very helpful and kind. I was a little nervous after some past experiences, and the staff was exceptional! While I've been a MMJ patient for several years, they asked if I would like a consultation - totally optional. I had a great discussion with the employee who helped me. He was empathetic and extremely helpful. He helped me select the best products for my situation. Other clients came in after me, and were given great service.The shop itself is beautifully designed - it's welcoming with large cases showcasing the various products. The products aren't just tossed in a case, but set up in a visually appealing way. It's easy to look in the binder for the products you want. This dispensary had less people working, more clients, and still handled everything faster than another place - plus were so nice! I felt bad asking questions, but the employee let me know that he actually loves talking about this and didn't make me feel rushed. They also offer a discount for new patients, which was great. I like that I can order ahead if I want.

The premier Mid Hudson Valley medical cannabis dispensary west of the Hudson River. They rarely run out of items (unlike Curaleaf) and have all kinds of discounts/specials. My experience at the botanist in Middletown I feel has been a life changer. Over my year and a half with the staff there Mark And Steve and Alex. The ladies in there too all amazing people. In the beginning of my journey to a healthy mind and a healthy mindset the botanist ensured that I found what products were the best for me. Out of all this chaos going on in the world I must say the botanist really helped a lot of people. The service and the welcome is almost like walking threw your front door. I went in to as a question , while standing in line about pickup he stated “i don’t like when people just walk into my store “ he also stated you could have got my attention from outside and walked outside and made loud verbal scene. Keep in mind I had one question about pickup ( this man is disrespectful) The amazing pharmacist had to come out and calm this man down as he was clearly under the influence or in need of medicine , very jittery , and showed signs of substance abuse . The worst person I’ve met in Middletown since moving here (people are so friendly here ) this will be my last encounter here due to the fact I come here for a peaceful experience and spend 200-500$ a month. I’ll take my businesses elsewhere, the greeter sets the full experience here ! Beware of this “security “ many have had issues with him . It’s not worth spending your money on carts that are barely full , with low levels of thc to be greeted with rudeness. Hudson valley here I come ….PLEASE Understand the rest of the staff here is AMAZING!!! This one person ruins your full experience however . Very knowledgeable kind staff and pharmacist!! Please get rid of this guy, you got 4 complaints including me in one day , one the line I was on alone

The flower is pre-ground and weighed before purchase. It is very expensive per gram. I was really disappointed to find so many twigs and sticks. God only knows what else is in here. This takes up space, and more importantly, weight. All twigs, sticks and foreign material should be removed before weighing if they are going to offer only pre-ground flower. Also, how are regular people supposed to pay these prices!

The man in the front was very welcoming and warm as well. This was such a good experience, especially for how nervous I felt about it. I only brought someone in because they let someone who didnt have a card in with someone who had one, and allowed the both of them to purchase under the actual patients profile. so if you are looking for a corrupt medical dispensary this is the one they follow regulations set by the ocm. i hit my limit on a product in curaleaf or etain i go to botanist cause they dont keep track or care about the limit, they only care about they money they make. last year around this time this was the place to go the two managers they had were welcoming knowledgeable and kind. the short guy they had on the tv think his name is joe… i wish he still worked he was the only reason i shopped here. now its a garbage show ran by children who get high in the parking and dont care about the people they help. DONT SHOP HERE ! security guards they have do not make me feel safe at all looks like the company hired kids out of high school who have a blank stare to secure and protect thousands of dollars worth of cannabis products.

I could not find my card, but I thought you put the info in your computer, but that nasty man behind the glass said I had to send for a temporary card, again. And he couldn't do anything. After having some less than ideal experiences with another MMJ dispensary in my area, I voiced my frustrations to my healthcare provider. She let me know that *many* of her patients have the same issues with this other dispensary - often out of the products I use, encouraging me to smoke/vape, not able to answer questions, etc. From the moment I walked in to the Botanist, it was a wonderful experience.First, the parking lot is spacious and the entrance is accessible. They took care of me right away in the lobby, and were very helpful and kind. I was a little nervous after some past experiences, and the staff was exceptional! While I've been a MMJ patient for several years, they asked if I would like a consultation - totally optional. I had a great discussion with the employee who helped me. He was empathetic and extremely helpful. He helped me select the best products for my situation. Other clients came in after me, and were given great service.The shop itself is beautifully designed - it's welcoming with large cases showcasing the various products. The products aren't just tossed in a case, but set up in a visually appealing way. It's easy to look in the binder for the products you want. This dispensary had less people working, more clients, and still handled everything faster than another place - plus were so nice! I felt bad asking questions, but the employee let me know that he actually loves talking about this and didn't make me feel rushed. They also offer a discount for new patients, which was great. I like that I can order ahead if I want.
