Great service, great price and great product! I'm from out of town and unfamiliar with a recreational dispensary experience as I've only used Florida's medical marijuana program and was guided by very friendly employees who were eager to help. Even at checkout, the gentleman that ran me up clued me in on their loyalty program to save $10 on my first purchase! Bonkers right?!?! You guys rock!
This is the worst dispensary I’ve ever been to in my entire life. Waited in line for 15 minutes downstairs only to be told that we need to go upstairs if we didn’t pre-order… Pink hair girl at the door didn’t say anything, not one sign insight.. Not a single indication anywhere saying that line was only for pre-order. They have one employee working with 20 people in line. The icing on the cake is when we finally got to the counter and we were told we were supposed to make a profile at the kiosks LOL. Again, not a single sign anywhere stating this. The two stars is strictly for the bud tender that made my profile, because he agreed the ridiculousness of the situation
I ordered online thought it was a flower but I got shake when I got there and when I asked the supervisor to change it to something else she said “NO”. And also every time I buy ounces there is always 2-3 grams missing, not 1 or 2 times. More than thatPlease fix your website. I am not complaining about the price but about the grams missing.
I wouldn't buy from Ascend Boston. My wife and I buy approximately one Oz every 3 days or so. On this time, we had a SERIOUS PROBLEM. we had purchased flower that smells of MOLD!!! We contacted customer support and were told they should fix the issue, given the product was defective.The managers disagreed, repeatedly stating what the receipt says" no refunds unless defective "May I ask... isn't MOLDY FLOWER D E F E C T I V E ???Not only do they not care about quality control, but they're A OK with selling YOU product that can GET YOU SICK.NEVER AGAIN- ANYWHERE ELSE Zero Stars given
I’m there fifteen minutes before closing on May 11,2024 and the line is from the front door to upstairs. Then I’m delighted to learn that there’s a buy four (4) x 3.5s (eighths of an ounce) sale for $64 for “Simply Herb”. It’s when I reach home I realized two of the four canisters did not contain the 3.5 they were supposed to have. One container had 1.4 and the other was 1.8. I spoke to the call center and was instructed to bring the receipt and the marijuana for an exchange at the Friends Street location but the manager made accusations and refused to exchange even after verifying the amounts were insufficient and acknowledged I was a long time customer. I’m going to another dispensary where I will not get cheated in weight.
your employee sean is literally the best. he checks percentages, he knows which strains are similar and if not he asks a colleague. he goes above and beyond for customers and i don’t want that going unnoticed. a true gem.
I would give 4 stars but Aiya made it a 5. She was super attentive and very kind. I walked in not knowing what I wanted but she was very diligent in asking me questions about what I wanted. In the end, I walked out with exactly what I needed. My friends and I all said it was some of the best bud we have ever smoked. 10/10 would recommend not only for the weed but also the great customer service I received from Aiya!
Best dispensary in Boston. Hands down. There is a wide selection of items and the prices are the most reasonable of all the places I went. I was happy with the ease of ordering and the service provided. They even have an online ordering feature. Great place!

Also shout out to Rachelle who has “dealt” with me twice. I say dealt because I’m not necessarily in a rush on days I’m picking up. I shop. She understand. Very comforting, Very cool. Definitely an asset to the Ascend brand. Great spot if you’re not so sure or want to shop around. If your kinda new, or maybe your a baby boomer who hasn’t smoked in a while and you want to really browse, not feel rushed, this is the spot: You may find cheaper depending on your flavor, but the combination of KIOSK browsing/ordering and the friendliest staff I have witnessed is pretty genius, 100% I promise you this is that spot. Out of the two places I shop minimum every 2 weeks Ascend has the best in store experience. 100%P.S If you’re reading this close to the time of this posting, the Mandarin I show in the photo is Excellent. I’ve been coming here for over a year. They have reasonable prices and decent selection. On my most recent visit I saw a sign advertising their rewards program. I asked about it and they said they do have one but in order for my purchases to count toward it I had to complete registration through an email invite. In all the time I’ve been coming here not ONCE has an employee ever mentioned this to me. I logged on to see my purchase history complete with months of purchases NONE OF WHICH GOT ME ANY REWARDS. As a frequent customer I’m really frustrated to know I could have been saving money all this time but due to lack of information not of my past purchases count towards rewards. If you’re going to offer a rewards program please MAKE IT ACCESSIBLE.Sincerely,A very irritated customer
I had such a confusing two visits to this place. The first visit, on Friday 12/15, I had Rachel as my associate. She was fantastic! Super helpful, very nice, listened to my list of things I was curious about and looking for and answered all of my questions. 5 stars, no question. I went back the next day and the associate called me up to the counter, and when I gave a short explanation as to what I bought yesterday and wanted today, they told me to look at the kiosk. I told him I'd like to have an associate help me find a new kind of gummy as I'm not familiar, and he straight up said I can go to the kiosk to find something myself and he doesn't have any recommendations. I was shocked at how cold the interaction was. He then asked another associate if he had recs, he said he was busy, then said to me "go to the kiosk and I can help in a bit". I give those two fellas 0.0 stars. I feel too bad for how great the first person was, so she is why I'm not giving this spot 1 star. Y'all need to work on those two dudes, though; that was weak.
Honestly this is one of the the nicer dispos in boston but i am forced to leave one star due to the confusing nature of their logo, which is a downward pointed arrow. This logo would make sense if the company was called 'descend'...good flower tho
Been going to this Ascend for over a year and it can’t be beat. There’s nowhere else I’ve found in the Boston area with prices and quality like Ascend. On top of that, I’ve always had great interactions with the staff. Fantastic job at building a loyal customer base in a competitive market!

I’m a huge flower connoisseur so I’m very familiar with different flavor profiles. I normally purchase buckn runtz because I’m a huge gelato 33 fan. Today is 10/17/2023 and the buckn runtz has been different strains for the past two times I purchased it. Yesterday the buckn runtz smelled , looked and tasted exactly like the strain callled Boston runtz , today the buckn runtz smells, smokes and brakes down exactly like bubble bath. You guys can’t fool real smokers. !

Cheapest full gram carts I've seen anywhere!! Their in-house brand (Simply Herb) are flavor forward, you're actually tasting the flavor you're smoking! Their other (Ozone) isn't as flavor accurate, to the name since the names aren't flavors, definitely packed with flavor though! Every employee I've interacted with has been very pleasant & informative, great customer service.I do miss the free delivery...I would love to see that return!
Super easy and convenient. Prices and deals are always pretty fly for prices. The only reason I gave it four stars was because it was a Friday pre lunch and one associate working the front counter. Though I did see a good handful of others no one offered help for the 6+ person deep line. Otherwise good, always good.

I’ve been there many times, already written a review like two months ago but I deleted so I can write a new one.They really have the best deals on flowers and vapes and I’ve been always well treated but today I had an awful experience, I just made an online order but I got like one hour late and so my order was cancelled and taken upstairs (thats ok, no issues on it) then the salesperson (a guy maybe on his 50 years) told me to wait on the side and I stayed there for 20 minutes and nothing from him so another gentle salesman asked what I was waiting for and he was exactly on the side of the that guy who told me to wait, then I tried to explain again and I was like “hey, you forgot me?” And he was like acting like he didn’t know me, so rude and disrespectful, had no idea why he had such a bad behavior
Best prices around, best choices around. Easily over 50 orders at this point and honestly every order both pick up and delivery was hassle free and to order, other than the occasional longer wait but they can’t really control that. Highly recommend.
Very happy to be a regular customer here, the staff are great, they are welcoming and accommodating (I'm disabled) I've only had a few small issues with carts that didn't work properly and they have comped me everytime. No questions asked and an apology for my inconvenience. Highly recommend.
Great prices and great staff, if a slightly complicated ordering setup. But the aforementioned friendly and knowledgeable staff will walk you through it, if necessary. Nicely designed and very clean public areas across two floors, with people working behind the scene to fill orders. Tight operation.
Ascend never gives the right amount. They gave us shake with hair in it and was half full. They refused to take back the product. Their delivery supervisor Brandon Ferraro was extremely rude and screamed at my girlfriend over the phone. Hopefully this company will improve its staff. Don’t believe their ratings Customer Service was horrible.
Overall the price was good but my experience there was the worst out of any dispensary I’ve been to in the greater Boston area (which is a lot). My issues are that there is zero signage telling you where to go, and the staff working there were not helpful. Another thing, they don’t seal their containers!! They only pop open when you push the sides so if you have children, or have them around in your bag, please be cautious!

Staff was helpful, the prices seemed fair, and I was happy with everything I purchased. The proximity to TD Garden doesn't hurt either. I plan to stop in again.Edit: I've been to this place many times now, and have never had a bad experience. I even met Celtics royalty outside once. They recently added more kiosks, making the line go much quicker.
With the amount of dispensaries in the area you really need some thing to stand out from the rest. And they did not do it for me. I walk in and I wait in the line that's only for order pick up because no one told me where to go to place an order even though I told them I did not order ahead. So I wait in this line they send me up the stairs to a kiosk where I find what I want and I walk up to the counter and I try to order there and they tell me I need to place the order at the kiosk but no one told me that either. Which is absolutely crazy because they had at least six heads on and not a single one of them could explain to a customer how to make an order. So customer service 0/5 Weed was cool though but I can get that anywhere

Very thankful for a particular manager at this location by the name of Taurus. He was courteous in ascertaining my needs while maintaining punctuality during my visit. Plan on returning soon
Greatly appreciated Ascend for it's convenience and can speak highly on many of the workers there, however a noticeable decline seems to have overtaken this place recently.On a completely dead day, with no event near the TD Garden, there was a massive delay for online orders and they had only one poor worker dealing with the entire line. I had a problem with my card being charged, and when a manager, Winnes (I believe), was called to help, he spent absolutely no time helping the situation and basically told me I was screwed and left the floor to go back to whatever else he was doing. Sad to be and quite annoying to experience.I do hope Ascend can pick itself back up.
Very chill place to visit. The front desk people will be more than happy to guide you into whatever direction your seeking. From flower, to pre rolls, to edibles. You can get it all here. Great place super close to downtown.
I stopped here on my way home last week. I was in and out very quickly, however I was sold a vape battery that was supposed to be universal but instead only works with a certain brand. I live far away so I can't just go and exchange it or refund it. Other than that it's what you'd expect, prices pretty average
I’ve been going to Ascend for over a year and have started to notice a decline in quality of the staff/ overall delivery services.I made an order at 2pm and was told I should wait for it to arrive between 5-9pm. My friend put an order in as well to the same address, so when the order arrived they completed her transaction and informed me they did not have my order. After making me sign and verifying my ID, they informed me that my order could not be found. They never gave me any solution on what to do next, after leaving they made me come back a second time to check if an order they had found could have potentially been mine, even though my name was not on the receipt. There is clearly a lack of organization for setting up delivery orders and no clear instructions on the website for what to do when these kinds of situations occur. I called the location directly, twice, and was sent to voicemail both times and have yet to receive a call back.I’m not sure what’s happened to Ascend overtime, but there is clearly a lack of professionalism and care for their customers. After being a long time supporter I have decided to not do business with them anymore. Beware when making online orders.
The displo quality is top notch. Great products and quality weed but the wait to pickup or order is out of control. I can’t go here without waiting 45 minutes because they have one person working pre orders, it ruins the whole experience. I’m always looking for time saving alternatives. Get some help for the customer facing staff!!
Should educate your bud tender on the different chemicals and what they do. Also ran out of what I ordered told me he would give me another product at the same price as originally but then charged me more. Store in Chicago is better business ethics.
Decent prices, good staff. Delivery service is super spotty though. I’ve had 5+ deliveries just never come, got no contact at all.Edit: now 10 times a delivery hasn’t shown up, don’t even try to call the store they just send you straight to voicemail and don’t return your calls or emails. Used to love this place but the quality has just gone down an incredible amount and is just incredibly unreliable
Great place by North Station to grab some bud. Parking is tough but I usually find a spot around the block and play the meter game. Best prices in the city for high thc content that's recreational. Online orders get you in and out in under 5 min (peak times may vary). Fast friendly and competitive.
Overall this is a clean and welcoming establishment. They offer more affordable options than most other dispensaries currently in the area. The reason it is not a 5 star establishment is due to their ordering and pickup processes. 2 of the 3 occasions visiting the shop, I had placed an order for pickup in the store 30 minutes ahead of arrival, and then walked 30 minutes to the store only to have what I ordered suddenly become "out of stock". Please provide better indication on your web-store telling your customers that you do not hold their online orders, not even for 30 minutes.update: Friday night 9/23 , the pickup line is completely out the door with 25+ people in it, and there is only one cashier working for pickup orders. Wait 25 minutes to get to checkout, and the items I ordered were not even available. The cashier and doorman were working incredibly hard to keep up with what seems to be a lot of management issues, and they had to apologize after every sentence to the customers. I will not be supporting a business that treats it's employees and customers in such a poor fashion.
The dispensary is great. The staff is helpful and kind. The only issue is delivery. I tried to call to find more information about the delivery process but No one answers their phone ova there.
I’ve purchased from this dispensary since opening, until recently service was great. My purchase was mixed up with a lesser valued product, which I paid for and received the cheaper product; but when I attempted to have the difference in dollar value returned to me, the “manager” treated me as though I was thieving them. Poor manager skill and no resolution for customers when the staff screws up your order. Everything is great, til its not. I’ll leave this one to karma😋😒 P.S The lady manager was polite, but I still didn’t receive the difference or return email or call.
I viewed the menu of Ascend and another Boston dispensary. The other places prices made that cannabis unacessible. I was able to get a quarter of already ground cannabis. It was very decent. 5he people there were super nice and very helpful. Thank you for your hospitality, decent bud, for a decent price!
Been here twice and I will return again. The products are great and the staff are very knowledgeable if you need to ask any questions or will leave you be if you know what you went for. Finding dabs period sometimes, as well as clean ones if you can is a task within itself. That's just dabs, if carts are your thing which I enjoy frequently, it's damn near impossible to find ones that are actually exactly what they are supposed to be from anywhere other than a reputable place like Ascend. Would highly suggest and will continue to return.
Ascend is awesome. I come here usually once or twice a week. The pricing is really good and the staff are awesome. Paula helped me out today, and I recommend going this weekend for some good deals!

I’ve been a consistent fan of Ascends weed, really high quality stuff. I’ve been to the Newton location a few times and love that they have parking, but going to the store on friends street was amazIng - the layout of the store is super cool with two floors. The customer service is top notch, Tommy checked me out and wow that kid knows what he is talking about, definitely going back and asking him for some more recs!
Great staff, decent amount of choices but one of the pricier places I've been to. Product was just ok. They get away with it because of their of location though. Better deals and products at the other dispensaries if you're willing to hop on the T for a few minutes. I can get the same amounts of better stuff for way cheaper at a lot of the other places.
Ascend is an experience from the time you enter the door til the time you leave. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating and are more than happy to walk with you on your cannabis journey whether you're a seasoned vet or a beginner. At ascend, there's something for everybody. I spoke with staff member Paula Feris who was an absolute delight. She elevated the experience to a whole new level, literally! Thanks Ascend! This was my 1st dispensary field trip and what a great experience it was. The store is well lit (no pun intended), store layout was perfect, and the team very knowledgeable and organized. Paula was a fantastic liaison and helped me understand the different products what best suited me. Definitely worth the visit! Right across from North Station...so convenient.
I had to walk 4 miles to get here in a series of unfortunate events. That being said, it was worth it. Ben is a security person if I’m not mistaken but when I was asking about the cannabis culture in Boston he took the wheel and helped me find some new exciting options. He was also very knowledgeable and his customer service left me feeling beyond satisfied. If all of the staff is as kind and attentive as Ben, I will definitely be back to try what more they have to offer.

I mean this whole staff is fantastic, but Paula was just beyond amazing. I don’t even smoke the weeds I was only there for moral support for a first time smoker and she was just so informative and helpful walking my friend through the different strains and effects. Came in on Friday morning and had the best service. I have a lot of anxiety and Flo was able to recommend me some strains that actually help it a lot. A lot of strains give me more anxiety so I didn’t want anything too strong, He helped me pick some stuff to aid in my sleep also. He was super knowledgeable and genuinely seemed like he wanted to help. Will definitely come back when he’s working. A+++
This dispensary gets a 5 star from me because I absolutely loved the place. This is the first and only dispensary that I've ever been to, but they were spot on. They have reasonable prices, a great selection on Cannabis, they also have a great variety of gadgets to smoke your cannabis out of of. The other thing that I love about this place is the staff they are very nice and helpful and that deserves a 5 star in my book.

Was staying in Boston for Anthro New England, and needed something to lower my anxiety and stress levels at the event. These guys hooked me up and were super nice, first dispensary I've ever been to and only about the 3rd time I've smoked. They were very friendly to a newbie like myself c: If you're on a budget, get the pre-rolls.

This place SHOULD be amazing. However the company that runs these dispensaries is horrible. They hire amazing people and then treat them like trash. Why can’t the employees accept tips? It’s because the company gets tax write offs from The Last Prisoner Project, which is an amazing program but I’d this company feels so strongly about helping they could just donate out of they’re own pockets instead of stealing the tips they’re employees deserve. It’s a shame but this corporation is terrible and no one mentions it. This place should be amazing but instead it is going down hill FAST! Alas I know this all from first hand experience.
I just came from Ascend in Boston. I placed an online order, the product that I ordered from the menu said it was 37% THC. When I went to pick up that product, it was at 23% THC. I do know that each batch tests differently. My problem is that same product is still on the menu now add 37% THC and it’s a day later. To me that’s not only bad business, it’s wrong. If you order a product online, it should be the same product when you pick it up. I went back to explain the situation to the person behind the counter. She said she totally understood but could only give me a gift card for a future purchase. It was my birthday, and I traveled from New Hampshire because of the high THC count on this product. I tried to call to explain the situation to management. I was unable to get through, they had a recording. I will never go back to ascend, Can’t advertise things on your menu, and then sell something that’s totally different. 37% THC to 23% THC Is totally different. I just went on your website and you still have 37% on your menu along with other THC numbers I find hard to believe. As you can see the THC count is much different on what I purchased. That’s false advertising big time. Here is a warning to folks who go here. If you order on line, check your purchase before you pay to see if it’s what you actually ordered. 56.6 THC??? No way!!!
