Had a very unpleasant experience today dealing with the Ayr facility on 44th and Broadway. Waited in line for my order was shuffled off to the side because of a known issue with the state's medical card system today, had to wait to speak to a manager and then when I expressed my displeasure with not being just informed about this so I could have not wasted my time coming in he acted like I was the problem. I wasn't angry I wasn't yelling I just asked them to please inform customers about things like this if they know about them and he was quite hostile and response to that.

Zach.S. Gave me an AMAZING experience. We hadn’t even met and he knew about an issue I had with a products packaging and he was able to notify the farm/lab about it and even offered to replace it! I eventually solved my own problem but even after I did, he still threw in a free replacement!So first off, I’ve never EVER had customer service of that quality where someone could be aware of an issue that (to me) the customer is unaware of who knows about said issue.It just shows they pay attention and like, that means a lot to me because that’s like old school values being reflected in modern day which I appreciate.Not only that, but he was able to give me great advice on strains, making Zach a A+ Budtender in my book. He was educated on strains and knew what to say 🙂 I don’t expect every budtender to know every strain but having someone who’s open to suggestion is always flawless in my book. Love being able to talk to my budtender about strains because they are the ones who are gonna learn about new weed discoveries first.even on top of ALLLLL that- the rewards people, the rewards here are LIT.I went to the first dispo in illiniois when it first opened and I was really saddened by how they handle rewards. even to this day when I frequent them often after they rebranded. Sure they threw in freebies or $1 items here and there but the amount they expected you to pay to earn it was immense and unfair for the value. Like- buy 3 8ths from a company that only sells $60+ 8ths and get a free 1g joint or MAYBE if you’re lucky get a 4th 8th free.Here? Spend $150 and get $50 off. So I can spend $200 and pay the target $150, and then on top of that I can use my points rewards on TOP of this medical discount coupon.So idk how many times I need to say this- if you live in the area and have a med card, GO HERE. If you don’t have a med card and need one? GET ONE AND GO HERE.Zach? You were the most amazing customer service I’ve ever gotten from a dispo and I truly appreciate your work, I hope this review gets you a raise or a bonus because you deserve it 🙂👍Oh and one last thing, I even had a small issue where I thought a product that they were selling called a “shake shooter” was gonna be like one of those cheap $8~$16 little Chilems that had like a .3~.8 in it, only I thought this one was bigger. But then I realized it was just a joint/vape cart tube with weed in it. It kinda got too packed down and was hard for me to get out, but they kindly re-clarified to me about what it actually was and they didn’t make me feel stupid about not understanding a product which is really awesome to me as I’m disabled and don’t exactly have the best brain functions when it comes to social stuff.So yeah they offered a replacement and did what I wanted which was inform the farm about repacking the “shake shooters” because it sounds like something you can smoke out of- but you can’t rly do that with em 😅 so my point with all this?They have stolen my choice as my go to dispo for as long as I live near Quincy, and they have taken my position for the top dispo in illiniois.(🤫all they need is to add moonrocks to their menu year round and I’d consider them the most perfect dispo in the country)

Can’t speak to the medicinal side of this location, but the recreational employees are rude and impatient, and just generally unwelcoming. Would not recommend for those visiting a dispensary for the first time.

Drove over an hour to get there. Really needed to use the restroom. Asked the lady checking in about a restroom and she said they didn't have one. She wanted to do new patient paperwork. I really needed a restroom. Didn't see the exit and she had moved on to checking others in. I asked again about a restroom and she told me I could see if any other stores in the plaza had one. I asked how to get out of the building as I have never been here and she showed me. Came back got back in. No new patient discounts unlike most dispensarys I've been to. And the guy the sales floor asked if I was buying something I told him I was a little upset with the facility. He did not ask why. Did not try to remedy the situation. Just asked that I step aside. So I left. With no purchases.10/6/23 update. They are glad I brought these concerns to their attention. Glad they had time to address this 9 MONTHS later.

Herbal Remedies is a wonderful dispensary! They helped me with my paperwork, to get my medical card, 5 years ago, and the staff goes above & beyond to find the best products for their customers, and patiently answer all of your questions. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, and when I was really confused on what to get for my first purchases, they will explain not only the names of the products, but how it can affect you, what time of day or night to take them, and a good starting dose. They have an awesome inventory of accessories and a nice array of products! The Staff will blow you away with their friendliness and knowledge.
