Pink Ice

Overview

Not much is known about this cannabis strain, it appears to be a relatively new hybrid that most cannabis users are yet to experiment on.

Pink Ice is an indica dominant hybrid strain that is a cross between Punk Kush and the Ice strain by Nirvana seeds. Pink Ice inherits most of its characteristics from its parents. The breeders of this strain are unknown; however, Nirvana seeds are believed to have played a role in the creation of this strain.

Pink Ice inherits its appearance from its Ice lineage. The flowers are round, calyx shaped and sparsed between each other.

Pink hairs can be spotted emerging from around the nugs and a blanket of trichomes cover the green-pink mixture to give this strain a milkfish white glow. Trichomes convey both cannabinoids and terpenes which represent the potency of a strain. The trichome cover in this strain is very heavy and gives it an icy appearance. That’s where pink “ice” comes from.

The aromas present in this strain are reminiscent of oranges, limes, and acrid lemons. You may also be able to pick out some hints of spice and earthiness.

Not much is known about growing Pink Ice. The Ice strain which was created by Nirvana seeds takes between 7-9 weeks to grow. It gives moderately high yields of 500 – 600 g/m² in SOG on average. The plants grow to medium height and can do well both indoors and outdoors. It is speculated that Pink Ice has similar growth characteristics.

Linalool

Linalool has floral notes that are usually mild in most cannabis strains. It has anti-seizure benefits that work well with CBD anti-seizure effects. It also helps in promoting relaxation and sleep.

Caryophyllene

Caryophyllene is the terp that gives off the spicy notes that sting the nostrils when you sniff into some cannabis strains. It is also resent in black pepper, cinnamon, and spices such as oregano. Therapeutically it has anti-inflammatory benefits. Recent research has shown that this terpene can help to reduce alcohol withdrawal symptoms

What Consumers are Saying:

The effects are typical of strong indicas; strong body effects causing a couch lock effect. Waves of deep relaxation sweep through the body sweeping away tiredness and muscle tensions. The THC ensures great mental stimulation as well. Patients have described this as mild bursts of mental energy that changes one’s perceptions of time and space. This is accompanied by feelings of excitement and euphoria. It will be interesting to watch the shyest person transform into the life of the party and engage in social talk and excitement.

People suffering from depression and chronic stress can use this strain to improve their systems and get a “deserved break” from low moments.

This strain also causes the munchies. In no time you will be looking for what to eat next even if you had just had a recent heavy meal. This works well if you appetite problems usually. If no, you better keep all food away as you may end up eating more than you thought possible.
