Elektra High CBD creative

Elektra

Overview

Elektra could well be called an electrifying strain because of the potent cerebral buzz that it creates. This is not the kind of buzz that causes a crushing euphoria but rather one that stimulates the higher centers causing a general feeling of being uplifted. It is clear that this is a strong sativa leaning hybrid with mild Indica effects that creates a gentle body stone. The Indica is about 30% while the Sativa gets the lion’s share.

Elektra is a hybrid cross between the famous CBD potent strain ACDC and an aromatic hemp strain Early Resin Berry. This gives Elektra and very desirable traits. For starters, the CBD level is fantastic – about 15%.

Putting this in perspective, most strains will have less than 1% of CBD, so 15% is quite something. This will provide strong relaxation effects plus a host of other benefits as you will see below. As for the psychoactive compound THC, this does not get anywhere close to 1%. Most phenotypes of Elektra will bottom out at 0.2% THC. This is sufficient enough to contribute to the synergy of cannabinoids and terpenes in this strain. However do not expect to get psychedelic effects from this hemp strain.

Elektra has the scent of citrus fruits mixed with some chocolatey notes. It hits the nose with mild tones which leave behind an earthy flavor. Generally, most users tolerate the strain well because the myrcene smell is toned down. If the buds are well cured the smoke will be smooth all the way.

Elektra buds are sticky to the touch. When you rub your fingers on the surface you will feel some unevenness; you will be touching resin glands that produce cannabinoids and terpenes. These are also called trichomes and they are sticky. At harvest the resin glands are plentiful and give the buds a snowflake appearance that submerges the olive green hues. Filament like orange pistils can be spotted somewhere beneath the whitish layer of trichomes. The buds are medium to large which means that the yield is decent. Elektra is an easy strain to grow and will do well in both an indoor or outdoor setup.
