Banangie
Overview
Banangie is a mix of banana and tangerines, this delicate flavor makes it popular among cannabis-loving patients. It is an indica dominant hybrid strain whose parents are the indica leaning Banana Kush and the feisty Tangie strain. It was originally bred by LoudPack extracts.
Banangie’s scent is seductive and many patients have reported buying this strain just for the smell. The smell is a mix of creamy sweetness decked with citrus notes making the smoke smooth all the way. The taste is rather bland in comparison, mostly filled with the earthiness of myrcene.
The hit will creep up on you and it’s as gentle as the aroma. Expect to feel deep waves of relaxation sweeping through your body and easing away aches and tension. Mostly it will start from the shoulders and progressively approach your feet. Within an hour or so, you will not want to get up from the couch and you are more likely to assume a horizontal position. Patients have described this feeling as blissful. By the time you are done medicating, you may be half asleep.
Banangie has 22% THC and less than 1% CBD. The high THC is responsible for the happy feelings and intense excitement that may happen after taking this strain. The head buzz will begin as pressure building up around the temples and moving to the back of the head. Soon, it will feel like you are losing your negative thoughts and taking up some positive energy and motivation. You may want to read a book or engage in an activity that does not require you to expend physical energy. With the mix of head and body buzz, Banangie is best taken in the evening when you want to wind down your day slowly.
Patients have used Banangie to relax after a strenuous day at work. Patients with mood disorders have also turned to this strain to take their minds off suicidal thoughts. Given the potent indica effects, this strain has helped patients with muscle aches and cramps to relax and recover.
The buds are popcorn shaped and dull green and feature wispy orange colored hairs that become more prominent as the buds mature. The surface is also coated with resinous glands (trichomes) that carry the cannabinoids and terpenes. Some patients prefer smoking trichome heads as kief because it has more potency. You can make your kief at home by using a grinder that has a kief holder to separate out the kief. Generally, the smell of this strain stands out over and above the appearance.
