If I could leave no stars I would… I just left this location to pick up my order that was confirmed and ready for pickup… I get here and they tell me that there’s an error in the system and that they sold out my bundle pack I was picking up. So I asked was there something comparable or something that could be done and the manager ( a guy) with no compassion or no nothing just simply said yea no nothing I can do. This was my 1 st time shopping with zen leaf and this is the treatment given… I don’t recommend them to anyone if ur looking for compensation from their mess up or excellent customer service!!!
I used to love this place until they sold me a pre-roll marketed as 1 gram that was surely .5 grams at best. Never returning after that. my dog and I used to come weekly. Also, their prices online for sale items are wrong. The pre-roll shows 8.40 on the main page then when added to cart magically turns to 9.10. There are other sale items that do the same thing, the last one I recall was marketed as $9 and then when added to cart magically turned to $12 and this is before taxes. Lastly, their site doesn't correctly sort from lowest to highest as advertised. You'll find items on the 3rd of 4th page that are significantly lower than what is shown as cheapest on the 1st page.
brittni sorry you're having a bad day but don't take it out on the customers cause that's so unprofessional. it's common courtesy to hand things back to someone the way they gave it to you instead of putting it on the counter. aside from that love it here tho vibes 10/10
Horrible how they treat the security they have removed what protects them from the people. Security looks very uncomfortable having to sit on an uncomfortable seat you guys needs to do better. A concerned regular guest

Christine has horrible attitude. While waiting for my order she mentions to a coworker about some kind of problem with the debit machine. I ask her is the debit card machine not working and she responds rudely I’m not talking about that. I told her just making sure because last time I was here it wasn’t working. Then when I go to pay she seems shocked that I’m trying to pay with a debit card than before giving me my money plays with her tip jar implying where my change should go.
I'm looking to take my business elsewhere.I was overcharged about $30.I stopped by today to place an order at the kiosk. I had looked at the website prior to arriving, so I already knew what I wanted to purchase. It was a strain that was 35% off, 7 grams that should've rang up to $42.25. Instead, I was charged the full price of $65 and taxed the usual 10% and 17% on the $65 price, bringing my total to $82. I questioned it as I handed over my cash. I thought maybe it was my error, and I chose the wrong strain or amount. I asked the cashier what the tax % was on that and why it rang up so high. The receipt showed that I was charged the incorrect amount, so I brought it her attention. They couldn't refund the order. Instead, they gave me 3.5 grams of a strain that I wasn't able to choose and was on sale for $31. Meanwhile, some other customer was freaking out and yelling about something with his experience. I didn't want to also make a scene. I feel like just giving me enough of a bs bag to cover the cost I paid vs. a refund or something better wasn't enough to satisfy me. I would've just purchased the 14 grams of the strain I wanted that was on sale for $78 and gotten double the amount had I wanted to spend more money. This isn't the 1st instance I've had here that's rubbed me the wrong way. The website says they're unveiling an app soon, yet they can't even charge in people in-house correctly. Moving forward, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. There are too many dispensary options now a days to be making mistakes with people's money.I, however, will say that all the staff are super friendly; ID guys, kiosk associate, cashier. They are all friendly and sociable, but money is money, and if you can't get your stuff together and you overcharge me, I'll spend mine elsewhere.

Great location, free parking, very clean store, and friendly staff. It’s my main store when visiting Chicago. Colin helped me last time and he was great. A++ I highly recommend Zen Leaf.

Expensive dispensary but very cool and clean atmosphere. Was able to use ATMs to get money. It wasn’t super crowded or anything and they had a good selection. Only wish they had more items to view rather than looking on an iPad. Wouldn’t be my first option when visiting the city but if you’re nearby it’s convenient. Also I bought a lighter and they didn’t put it in my bag. Double check your bag before leaving.

Zen Leaf is my go to, they always have great products and constantly are running sales. Anna was awesome, she was very informative and helpful.
Very friendly staff upon walking in. Smiles and friendliness at the counter. I chose the wrong budtender at the end of the row. Tall thin guy, brown hair, beard. Super passive aggressive energy, and every question was a bother for him. I asked if I had points and he said “you can check the app for that.” Other Zen Leaf locations in Illinois not only offer that info to you, but they don’t brush you off and ask you to look it up yourself. I spent a good amount of money there today. Maybe my points were only enough for a tip. I always tip for even neutral service. I use my points to tip. Not this time. He didn’t even push the bag my way or say thank you. Minimal effort possible, with a passive aggressive attitude off the bat. I’ll stay with Zen Leaf, but not that location.
I don't usually leave poor reviews. Perhaps the individual assisting me was having an off day? My lack of empathy isn't the issue here. The very rude and otherwise occupied individual had a tablet and was not interested in what I had to say or any questions I had about any inventory. It was a very unpleasant experience. I wish I had taken this individuals name. I honestly should have walked out because I've visited other dispensaries around the US and haven't been met with such disservice. Every question I asked was as if I was taking away from whatever he was doing on this tablet.
The staff is the absolute best here. They’re always so friendly and helpful. Today my friend lost her phone there and I had to go over to pick it up and they found it kept it safe for her. So off topic but had to share haha

I come in this place all the time. And once in a while you get a woman that has an attitude nasty. My anxiety is already high. I come in. I see 2 women talking to one man. Giving him all the information about a new 20% promotion or a new cabbage membership. So when my person comes back to give me my order. She doesn't explain anything to me. Even though I verbally said something out loud and then, when she gave me my package, she didn't ask me, did I want a bag? She didn't even mark off the receipt. I asked her. I said so you're not gonna mark off the receipt what I get, she said, not everybody doesn't and push the item to me. This is so embarrassing, why do you? You have people in there that are nasty to certain people but nice to others.It's ridiculous.I spend so much money coming in there and it's only 1 person that's nice.She has glasses.She's mixed with curly hair other than that that's it
Krysta R. is one of the best budtenders this Zen Leaf has to offer. She is exceptionally professional and kind. She is very knowledgeable of the product in the store, even rotations of different companies and brands. Essentially she knows and will suggest to you the freshest flower/product. I’ve noticed she always wants the best deal for me and honestly that’s what keeps me coming back , to this location specifically.

Logan was training a new employee and she was doing a great job! I was waiting in line while she was helping someone else with what seemed a slightly complicated order or some sort of snafu, Logan assisted and so did the other employees to get it sorted out. Great team work! Loved Logan’s vibe, very friendly and chill.
Updated review - An African American lady budtender there was quite rude for no reason to me and led to a bad experience.She walked away before I could finish talking about my order. Then hurried and rushed me like she did not want to be there - and not listening to my selection or questions for over 30 seconds, and also gave a little attitude.It is not a good look when you have poor customer service in an already soulless Illinois Cannabis dispensary experience.Giving a 2-star because the dispensary itself wasn't so bad. But if that's the service i will not be coming back in the future.
At first, I was ecstatic. They have good prices, a good variety, the whole 9 yards. BUT they shorted me 3.2 grams.I live 2 hours away, and went while I was on vacation. So, I'm not gonna go out of my way to get that fixed, but I'm highly disappointed. Never did I think I would deal w this at a dispensary. Take a scale w you.
They have a nice tablet based system I've never seen before; it is fast and efficient. The system allows you to get in and out faster. They have a wide selection of products. Just like every dispensary I've been to, you can't expect Zen to have every product that you like and have gotten attached to, the same products are just not there all the time and may never be back or at the same price point.They give you a small Zen paper bag for all your goodies, customers typically throw the bag at the nearest trash can outside the dispensary. This is not good for the environment. I am sure it's some law that all your purchases must be in bag. Zen can you find a way to fix this? I have 2 bags now, I forgot my old usable bag was at home (temporary hotel room home).Update September 2023: I made a purchase at a dispensary in California and the bud tender refused to let me use a bag I already had upon arriving, they insisted I take my purchase in their store branded bag. Oh well, I tried to reduce waste and I failed.
I’ve always had a great experience with Zen Leaf and this location in particular. Staff is so friendly and cares about your customer experience. I’ve been fortunate to be helped by Krysta several times at the counter and she is an absolute sweetheart. She is very informative and always mentions how many rewards points I have, and lets me know how many points I’m receiving from each purchase. I really appreciate that because I was unaware that my first year purchasing at Zen Leaf I was not collecting any rewards points! Thank you to this awesome team and shoutout to Krysta!
