Dutch Hawaiian
Overview
Dutch Hawaiian is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain with 70% sativa and 30% indica. It was created by Top Shelf Seeds and it is a cross between Dutch treat and a certain fruit scented Hawaiian landrace strain. It won Seattle Cannabis Cup award for in 2014 for the Best Sativa Strain.
Dutch Hawaiian has cone shaped buds that are covered in a thick layer of white resinous trichromes. The pistils are long and orange in color. The flowers are medium-sized and grow tightly together. The leaves are spring green in color are equally clothed in sparkling trichromes.
It has THC amounts between 17%-20%, some samples have tested higher THC amounts of up to 28%. The CBD is usually less than 1%. Being a strong sativa strain, the psychedelic effects can be over powering for new and old users alike.
Dutch Hawaiian is one of the strains with a pleasant aroma that reminds you of opening a can of pineapples. When combusted, the aroma will have some earthiness to it and it will leave a salty after taste. However, the smoke is not harsh on the throat because of the fruity undertones, so this is a strain that most people enjoy taking.
