Items ordered included ribs, brisket, mac and cheese, and fries. About half of the 1 lb of brisket ordered was so dry that it was more akin to jerky. The Mac and cheese were unflavored shells swimming in a soup of separated butter and cheese. Food aside, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lastly, there were so many flies that it was difficult to focus on dining in between swatting them away.

Took a late afternoon break in Roundup returning to Billings. Probably the best Americano ever and the pastries were like what's seen in Europe. Staff was friendly and welcoming as could be.

We stopped at The Back Porch for breakfast while passing through Roundup and were blown away. The food is true homemade cooking. The pancakes were some of the best we’ve had, especially with the house-made honey butter.The service was fast, friendly, and attentive.If you’re near Roundup, this place is a must-stop. Local charm and fantastic food.

If you love good food, great people, and a place where you feel at home this is a place to go! I ordered the backporch burger and it was delicious...make sure to clarify which toppings you'd like or it'll be just a burger on a bun. It's environment is inviting, not too loud, and clean. I brought my infant son with me and was a peaceful experience. Overall, I'm happy every time I've eaten here. 🙂

I had heard great things about the Backporch. I had high hopes. We came in on 5th July. The place was severely understaffed both in the kitchen and in the serving staff. It took about 15 minutes and me going up to the counter to inquire before anyone even came to our table. They took our drink order but then another 10+ minutes passed and no drinks came. We saw lots of tables not being served. People sitting around looking stuck and bored…no menus…no drinks…no food. I also noticed the place was kind of getting dirty…the area at the door hadn’t been swept in awhile. The ‘stage’ area was caked with dirt. When I spoke to the staff watching dishes and asked if we were meant to order at the tables or the counters she looked totally confused. I know the restaurant is under new management so maybe that’s what has caused the decrease in cleanliness and customer service . I also thought the menu would be a lot more exciting than it was but it seems it was kind of bare bones and a bit overpriced. We were just passing through and couldn’t afford to wait for 2 hours to hopefully get an order in and get served so we just left and went down the street to the Grand Bar—the manager came out, cleared a table for us and sat us immediately and we were able to get our meal right away. I’m so sad to say but the Backporch was real disappointment. They need to hire more people and train them better, clean up the place, get a more interesting menu in place and well, defend their reputation.

Good food and a nice variety of sauces to choose from. Portions were pretty small for the prices though. Maybe that's a blessing in disguise, but I could have put away a lot more pork than they wanted to give me.

Really good chipotle pulled pork soft tacos. Great sauces and absolutely delicious food. I'll be taking the detour here for these on any trips between Helena and Billings.

Breakfast is delicious! And the bbq is great. The BBQ salad is my favorite followed closely by the pit beef.

Was passing through and needed some breakfast and came in. Very cute and clean little place. The food was really good. The breakfast sandwich was amazing and the scrambled eggs were perfectly light and fluffy. Thick cut bacon was cooked to perfection, perfect balance of crispy and chewy. The Huevos Rancheros were filling and full of robust flavor. The latte was also great. To top it off the service and staff are warm kind and friendly! I hope to pass through again during dinner to try their BBQ because if there BBQ is anywhere as good as the breakfast I know I will be in for a delicious treat!

Inviting, clean space. Fast, friendly service. We enjoyed the ribs, pulled pork, brats, turkey and beef and all were excellent but our favs were the ribs & pulled pork. The espresso BBQ sauce was delicious! I really liked the macncheese and coleslaw as well. Desserts were great too.
