Worst dispensary on the west side. More expensive than most other options in the city, low inventory/variety or products, and inconsistent staff availability. I’ve tried to visit and have been told I cannot shop because they don’t have all their employees there. Just know that if you go here, there definitely better options.
Price listed on site and on iPad in-store said $59 for 1/4 oz. Paid $74 w/ tax included. Before walking out of store, I notice I only have 1/8th. Security guard is cool and tells me to not leave, gets guy I checked out with, he said its the price of 1/8th after tax, but they can ring me up for another if I'd like. NAHHH I'd like the right amount I paid for.Update: called to complain, after being on hold for 10 minutes someone answered and said the manager would call me back. Never happened.
I must stop if you’re visiting Chicago or want to have a good time. They have a good Consumption lounge. You order food in there. Kids could go to the bakery under in the bakery. That’s not infused. Only the dispensary is where you show ID
Staff were so friendly, and helped us pick some great stuff. They have Wyld gummies and other popular brands, as well as newer brands that I hadn't heard of yet. So real solid place, and they have a rewards program connected to the pizza shop and coffee shop next door.
They "identify as black owned" because they have a black investor. I was looking for the all black owned dispensary and stumbled upon this place. I don't like the "identify as" part AT ALL!!! Phenomenal products, phenomenal customer service, very knowledgeable, I'm extremely happy with my purchases every time. I will continue to frequent this place. They have my favorite product.
From product selection to service….its all around less than okay (pun intended).Truly nonplussed by the African-American gentleman (refused to give name) with dreads working at the dispensary the morning of 3/21 for “exercising his right to refuse service.” Appalling. When pressed for an explanation, his sense of superiority, arrogance, and grandstanding came to light, stating he was simply refusing service because I was “purchasing for another previously unruly customer” he had declined service to (mind you, I walked in by myself and was the only patron in the facility at the time). Not to mention, I had NEVER set foot here before. Hell of an assumption, to say the least.I understand the cannabis industry isn’t overly concerned with customer service but it’s rather perplexing that an establishment could operate this way and get away with it. Their products are JUST okay…plenty of competition that aren’t on their high-horse.
Okay? No, it's pretty bad. In theory, it's great: a restaurant group with no obligation to any cultivator. Except that apparently they can't work out relationships. Always a limited stock with rotating suppliers. They hardly ever have 1g vapes, and if they do, it's ONE and well over $100. Website and kiosks often don't match up. Some decent specials and the Roots Pizza Westown Bakery cross-promotions are nice, but the prices are still right in line with other dispensaries that can keep stock on hand. Extra star for the people working. They're always nice and (usually) on their game, but 50/50 really missed the mark with this attempt to break into the dispensary business. I'm done. Not going back until they can get a regular selection of 1g carts—that aren't all the highest possible price.
Definitely the worst dispensary I've been to in Chicago. No real deals, pricing is insane. Staff is nice, store is clean.
Good service and vibes but concentrates are literally half the price at ascend
First time here. We were greeted kindly as soon ad lls we entered. Before letting us in, we were informed that of we went next door and bought sole.baled goods, we'd get a discount on our purchase there. Naturally we did that. There was a nice selection, the workers were nice, and the dispensary was for clean and organized. The weed did the job for our music festival and hot tub pizza afterwards haha
Great service! Every employee from the moment you walk in are super nice!Met the manager too and he was awesome. Make sure to sign up for their rewards program at the register before making your first purchase!
I love this place! Super friendly people all the way from security to the budtenders. Clean, colorful and no-frills space. Medium size selection but they have great brands at reasonable prices. Best of all they have a rewards program that links with other 50fifty establishments in the area. You get a free beer or free coffee from Roots/West Town bakery with minimum purchase too. Dog friendly! Lovely addition to the neighborhood
