I recently visited Herbal Alternatives (because my primary dispensary was out of stock) and found the experience to be lacking. The staff was not helpful, bordering on rude, and the credit card system was down. The credit card system down is a common occurrence. Although I have valid medical card and am under my rolling 30-day limit, I was denied the purchase of a high THC content tincture. [update] After emailing Jen I learned that I should have been allowed to purchase the tincture. The restriction only applies to edibles over 20mg per piece. I'm adding "the staff is not knowledgeable" to this review.With other options in DC, do not waste your time visiting this place. Spend your money elsewhere.

Expensive and poor service. Charged wrong amount repeatedly, even given wrong amount of product. The manager then went back on the promise to fix it. Concerning about the lax inventory control and consistent policy at a medical dispensary. I unfortunately have better experience at a pop up.

The website sucks! Never heard of any dispensary that won't allow you to view the menu without setting up a account & giving a password! I'll be sticking with Tacoma wellness. I'm sure they have much better prices!

BEST EXPERIENCE IN DC. Max was great all around. I went in with one thing in mind but after speaking to him about the selection (which was vast and all encompassing), I ended up leaving with a variety of flower. He was knowledgeable on the products and cannabis as a whole, which is refreshing. He was familiar with the growers and also was able to recommend strains based on my terpene preferences. He hit the nail on the head with several recommendations. One of the only legitimate places in the area that isn't prepackaged and will allow you to see and smell the flower too. I won't ever stop coming back!The reviews saying things like "They shouldn't weigh the flower out infront of you" or "The THC content isn't worth it for the price because MD has this or that" are clearly from inexperienced users, nothing more. If you want quality flower, go to Herbal Alternatives. If you're only looking for THC then do some research and educate yourself or talk to the reps because they know what they're talking about and then make your way over to Herbal Alternatives to put that new found education to use!Parking tickets being blamed on Herbal Alternatives is also a joke. It's D.C., you dug your own grave there.

I realized real quick what dc is missing out on , I have my Maryland medical card and our products here are in the 30’s , 40’s as high as 60’s % THC for half the price of all these dc dispensary’s and includes full terapin and THC. Profiles on everything I’m so dumbfounded why it’s so much money for such little potency like 24% they say in dc is for experienced smokers you all have been fooled 🤷♂️

New favorite dispensary! Kasey was very nice and super helpful with assisting me in getting my med card She also helped me pick out a few strains before talking with the budtender. Once with the budtender, robin was also very nice , I got a some bud she recommended and carts. The price was amazing, I was so surprised is so cheap out here! Will be back for my next time in DC.

So i was turned away, according to what ive read its up the dispensary and budtender. She was rude curt and kinda B$@?!. So no do NOT recommend this one lots more in town besides this one. Whats said is my back has had mutliple fractures. ????????????

Great experience. Traveling in town and was able to purchase no hassle with my Ohio Med Card. It was pouring down rain and I was completely lost. I called for directions and the receptionist literally walked me thru the commute! The entire staff, from sales to reception are friendly, informative and very welcoming. Good selection as well! Will definitely visit when in town again.

I really can't say. I walked into a small room that was completely barren almost. Drywall was still in construction phase. It was mudded but, not textured or painted. The floor was bare concrete. There was a single desk and computer on the desk. There was a woman behind the desk who asked for our medical Marijuana cards. We didn't have any so they couldn't help us. There was a hallway which led off to the right. Maybe everything was back there. If I ever get in I'll repost

My 1st visit:It was tucked into a building that had me 2nd guessing where I'd ended up...... no sign out front for this business. I made it in & the receptionist was friendly & welcoming. I jumped on the elevator and made my way to the 3rd floor where after a couple doors....I walked into a well lit room with many friendly staff! The prices were fair but the selection of edibles lacked for me..... this is why I'm giving a 4???? review- otherwise everything else was lovely! I'll be back????????
