The music is way too loud for folks with sound sensitivity. Especially for medical patients being forced to wait in a hot claustrophobic tiny room. Get some ventilation in there. And not the first time this has happened to me here at this location.

Stopped going here. The selection has been lacking but even worse are the prices. CT prices are insanely high then add taxes even worse. Not to mention there are hardly ever sales. If you can get to any in RI or MA do it. Always 15 to 20 percent off sales, always plenty of choices and way cheaper. Worth the drive to pay less than half of what you'd pay in CT and you get double the product.CT: 1/4 + .5 cart= $170!MA/RI: 1/4 + .5 cart + 15/20% off= $50Which means you can buy more product out of state and make LESS trips to a dispensary.We need to start going out of state if possible so these places in CT can drop their insane prices.

My absolute go-to spot. Was introduced to this place by a co-worker of mine who recommended it when looking for a recreational dispensary after everything went legal. Staff here is always friendly and fantastic. You always feel welcomed when you arrive here. Even when it is incredibly busy they are very efficient at getting customers served quickly. Staff always seems willing to help anyone that has any questions about purchases and is always patient when explaining things. Absolutely one of the best spots in the area for recreational.

I’m going to have to pull my card and move it 50 miles down the road because it’s clear we’re catering to the casinos here.When you have 28 half gram carts for sale and 3 gram carts, the more economical option, then you are selling primarily to recreational. When of those 3 gram carts not one is a sativa, it’s clear no one is paying actual attention. Let’s not even talk about finding live resin or live rosin.The store 50 miles down the road can maintain an inventory almost a hundred times larger and consistently, you start looking at cars that get better gas.

I would highly recommend. I went here after a couple of foul experiences at Fine Fettle over in Willimantic. The employees over there are skimping buds out of their customers' containers. Breaking the seals to CTPharma containers in hopes that you think it comes off with the lid. Imagine that kind of sad, really. Well, you won't get that over at The Botanist. You can trust them to have the integrity to not leave you with short product. It's clear which company is more professional. Thankfully there is another dispensary I can trust.

Since going to recreational and putting medical patients second, new staff has no idea what they are doing. I am a day 1 patient. Last time I checked in, I was questioned about having my caregivers card with me. I don’t carry my caregivers card. Why do I need that? Thankfully, a day 1 employee who was familiar with me let her know it was not needed. Once at the counter, employees are bickering and just not as pleasant as when this place first opened. The used to ask me about available points, available deals. Now I am lucky to get my order correct. Really has gone down hill for medical patients.

This is the only spot that I go to that does not allow it. Every time I go, the people helping customers are SLAMMED, with the one who helped me the other day was still there 30 min after her shift was supposed to be over. Let us say "thanks". Never require it, but at least allow it.

I usually have a pleasant experience here. But today I checked out with Brittany (wears a headband) she was very rude and unhelpful and rushed me out when she didn’t want to answer my question about points (maybe she didn’t know) I had to go to the front desk and ask a very nice gentleman to help me & he was awesome. Brittany should be more upbeat and have a smile on her face ready to help any customer who needs help. I felt uncomfortable but was turned around very quickly when I asked a different worker that was ready to help. Overall a great place though.

This place used to be awesome prior to adult use. The prices keep climbing for medical use and the few reserved parking spots for medical patients are no where near enough. You also used to be able to get deals on an oz. at a time. Beginning the process of finding somewhere else. I would give one star but the staff are amazing.Editing my review down to one star after todays disastrous visit. The rec users are parking in medical patient spots and no one enforces anything. Not one thing I wanted that showed available online was there. Sat in the medical waiting room while person after person from the rec line went in. 20 minute wait with three med people in front of me. Heavy set lady letting people in was rude. Did not recognize one familiar face from before working there. The person waiting on me seemed like they could care less I was there. Pretty sure they hired all new staff for less money and got rid of the really nice folks that worked there. Looking for a place more convenient to go to. I’ve literally never been so mad leaving there.

They make it a fun interactive experience holding different events each month. The majority of my transactions are handled by Olga the OG! She always keeps me in the know about their products & upcoming events! She is super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful & always suggests new products when I want to switch up my order! The staff is all so friendly & accommodating. The VIP area is a nice perk now that they've opened up to recreational - there is minimal wait time despite the influx in customers. Highly recommended!

50 to 60 bucks is the going price for an eighth in CT right now but if I'm paying that price I don't expect fluffy nugs that aren't even dried properly. I can't even get this stuff through my grinder. For now I'll continue to make the long drive to Rise in Branford where you at least get quality weed for the exorbitant price. I'll check back on the Botanist in a few months and hope they get it together.

Kaleigh is one of the wonderful girls that would greet you. She treats me as a acquaintance or are friend, not just a customer! Always going above and beyond for me and the other patients! I personally have mixed feelings. They were great for little gifts like t-shirts, grinders, and discounts. I feel there is a complete lack in actual care for the patient. I spoke to the pharmacist twice and each time felt I was inconveniencing things. To top the treatment she also didn't have the answers I was looking for. I also feel there products are inferior products (but that's my opinion on all operating facilities right now. Not their fault!). I was directed to my doctor, then to my pharmacist then, back to my doctor. Which neither one seemed they wanted to be bothered with my questions anyway. If not them then who? So all and all, I didn't have the great experience here.

So two months ago I gave this place five stars but with how rude new management is I’m changing it to a one star, most of the workers are lovely, but with the new management it feels unprofessional and honestly kinda hostile. They also basically pay you for good reviews by offering you a discount for any 5 star reviews, and they don’t reinforce their mask requirements, which is extremely dangerous. Sad to go but I’m not going to support a place that doesn’t treat all of their costumers with basic respect and decency, and disregards general health standards.

And with the smoke shop next door it's perfect! Thames Valley Relief is an essential business in this area for patients, and is just as important and necessary as any other pharmacy for prescriptions for your health. I have been a medical marijuana user since almost the start of the program here in Connecticut. I love this dispensary because the staff is extremely helpful, always nice, and they are sensitive to what we need, as patients. I got an email from CTPharma about "everything bagel flavored seasoning" (infused with THC). Then, I checked the online menu, and Thames Valley had it!!! I get teabags, tinctures, distillate, shatter, and sometimes lovely flower there, and every product has been excellent, without exception. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a cannabis newbie, there is someone at Thames Valley who can help you figure out what to take for your situation. There's also a new check-in system that starts soon, and I'm hopeful that it will be an even better system than before. That said, I haven't waited very long since the middle of the pandemic, when staff was low. I love the points system, too! I feel very appreciated at my dispensary. My life is better with Thames Valley Alternative Relief!

Stopped going here. The selection has been lacking but even worse are the prices. CT prices are insanely high then add taxes even worse. Not to mention there are hardly ever sales. If you can get to any in RI or MA do it. Always 15 to 20 percent off sales, always plenty of choices and way cheaper. Worth the drive to pay less than half of what you'd pay in CT and you get double the product.CT: 1/4 + .5 cart= $170!MA/RI: 1/4 + .5 cart + 15/20% off= $50Which means you can buy more product out of state and make LESS trips to a dispensary.We need to start going out of state if possible so these places in CT can drop their insane prices.

I’m going to have to pull my card and move it 50 miles down the road because it’s clear we’re catering to the casinos here.When you have 28 half gram carts for sale and 3 gram carts, the more economical option, then you are selling primarily to recreational. When of those 3 gram carts not one is a sativa, it’s clear no one is paying actual attention. Let’s not even talk about finding live resin or live rosin.The store 50 miles down the road can maintain an inventory almost a hundred times larger and consistently, you start looking at cars that get better gas.

I would highly recommend. I went here after a couple of foul experiences at Fine Fettle over in Willimantic. The employees over there are skimping buds out of their customers' containers. Breaking the seals to CTPharma containers in hopes that you think it comes off with the lid. Imagine that kind of sad, really. Well, you won't get that over at The Botanist. You can trust them to have the integrity to not leave you with short product. It's clear which company is more professional. Thankfully there is another dispensary I can trust.

Since going to recreational and putting medical patients second, new staff has no idea what they are doing. I am a day 1 patient. Last time I checked in, I was questioned about having my caregivers card with me. I don’t carry my caregivers card. Why do I need that? Thankfully, a day 1 employee who was familiar with me let her know it was not needed. Once at the counter, employees are bickering and just not as pleasant as when this place first opened. The used to ask me about available points, available deals. Now I am lucky to get my order correct. Really has gone down hill for medical patients.

But today I checked out with Brittany (wears a headband) she was very rude and unhelpful and rushed me out when she didn’t want to answer my question about points (maybe she didn’t know) I had to go to the front desk and ask a very nice gentleman to help me & he was awesome. Brittany should be more upbeat and have a smile on her face ready to help any customer who needs help. I felt uncomfortable but was turned around very quickly when I asked a different worker that was ready to help. Overall a great place though.

You also used to be able to get deals on an oz. at a time. Beginning the process of finding somewhere else. Not one thing I wanted that showed available online was there. Sat in the medical waiting room while person after person from the rec line went in. 20 minute wait with three med people in front of me. Heavy set lady letting people in was rude. Did not recognize one familiar face from before working there. The person waiting on me seemed like they could care less I was there. Pretty sure they hired all new staff for less money and got rid of the really nice folks that worked there. Looking for a place more convenient to go to. I’ve literally never been so mad leaving there.

50 to 60 bucks is the going price for an eighth in CT right now but if I'm paying that price I don't expect fluffy nugs that aren't even dried properly. I can't even get this stuff through my grinder. For now I'll continue to make the long drive to Rise in Branford where you at least get quality weed for the exorbitant price. I'll check back on the Botanist in a few months and hope they get it together.

I personally have mixed feelings. They were great for little gifts like t-shirts, grinders, and discounts. I feel there is a complete lack in actual care for the patient. I spoke to the pharmacist twice and each time felt I was inconveniencing things. To top the treatment she also didn't have the answers I was looking for. I also feel there products are inferior products (but that's my opinion on all operating facilities right now. Not their fault!). I was directed to my doctor, then to my pharmacist then, back to my doctor. Which neither one seemed they wanted to be bothered with my questions anyway. If not them then who? So all and all, I didn't have the great experience here.

So two months ago I gave this place five stars but with how rude new management is I’m changing it to a one star, most of the workers are lovely, but with the new management it feels unprofessional and honestly kinda hostile. They also basically pay you for good reviews by offering you a discount for any 5 star reviews, and they don’t reinforce their mask requirements, which is extremely dangerous. Sad to go but I’m not going to support a place that doesn’t treat all of their costumers with basic respect and decency, and disregards general health standards.

I have been a medical marijuana user since almost the start of the program here in Connecticut. I love this dispensary because the staff is extremely helpful, always nice, and they are sensitive to what we need, as patients. I got an email from CTPharma about "everything bagel flavored seasoning" (infused with THC). Then, I checked the online menu, and Thames Valley had it!!! I get teabags, tinctures, distillate, shatter, and sometimes lovely flower there, and every product has been excellent, without exception. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a cannabis newbie, there is someone at Thames Valley who can help you figure out what to take for your situation. There's also a new check-in system that starts soon, and I'm hopeful that it will be an even better system than before. That said, I haven't waited very long since the middle of the pandemic, when staff was low. I love the points system, too! I feel very appreciated at my dispensary. I always seem to find the best stuff from here and it has really helped me with my PTSD. Also they're pretty dope when it comes to giving stuff away, I enjoy my free lighters and t-shirts.

Fantastic service. They really know what they are talking about and can point you to the right thing. I really love their reward system. Product can be expensive like any other dispensary, but the reward system makes you feel a bit better dropping the dime.I really appreciate that they have every form of the good stuff you could ask for, from concentrates to edibles and flower of course. Very clean and friendly.

Dianne and Hillary are the best, but at the same time their ENTIRE team is nothing but equally as awesome.I wont bother switching to Groton's dispensary. Ive come to fully respect and appreciate the service they provide me as a patient, and I feel like my needs and concerns are addressed properly when I have a question about a particular strain.5 out of 5 stars.Thank you for what you guys do in these difficult times during the virus. I have been a patient with Thames for a while now and absolutely LOVE the staff and how personal they get with everyone. Hundreds of people and somehow they remember every face. They'll guide you every step so 1) you have full knowledge of what your doing/getting, and 2) because it's just nice being social. I have visited other Dispensaries and so far no one compares to the service provided by staff. If you're new or looking for better treatment, I fully recommend this specific location!!!!
