I bought about 5 dif flowers. All dry . And so plastic like tasting it was gross.Very low quality bud from what I've seen but it's cheap. I prefer the premium stuff and they didn't seem to have any premium products .

Customer service here is awful. So many orders ready and so many customers just waiting. My first time here and I spent over 32 minutes for 1 , 1/8. Felt like walk in customers get the least priority. Can't wait for a new shop to pop up and do better .

I do love this place a lot but the online ordering system needs improvements. The whole idea of ordering online is so you can beat the lines and not have to wait. I placed an order online. Came to pick it up. They said it wasn’t ready. Guy told me to place ANOTHER order because that would be quicker than processing the online order? Which makes no sense. I’ve been here before and they just pull the order or tell you to wait. So instead of being further to the front of the workload. I now have to wait for everyone that’s already here. Which means I wait longer. Defeating the purpose of the preorder. Online orders need to be prioritized over walk in.

October 30th I bought the Halloween bundle, it came with 2 eights 1 preroll, and a resin cartridge. Also a lighter, Looks like the cartridge is half full. I haven't used it yet, I'm disappointed. I get mad and I feel like I've haven't received what I paid for. I put a review on here around 2 years ago about the cartridges. I'm going to edit this review. This is just my honest review regarding the cartridges I do not have any problem with the people that work there they're great everybody's good it's just the cartridges.

Stopped going to this dispensary due to them not giving you the amount they are suppose to. Grams are .8, .5 carts weigh out no more than .46. When asking multiple employees why the carts weren’t full, they said slater also sells them carts that aren’t full as well. When asking if they could get sued for that, and employee told me absolutely. And I was also told to bring in a scale and weigh it in front of them. No employee has given me any positive feedback about the center when complaining, they just agree. And they won’t add loyalty points onto your account for months and then try to cheat you out of point. WORST DISPENSARY IN RI FOR SURE. Save your time and your money. The cart below is directly out of the package. And unfortunately, most of the good reviews here are done by employees that are asked to do it upon hiring.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR CARTS. They only have half grams and fill them HALF WAY so you have a huge hole and spent $35 on 1/4 of wax that you’ll finish in 2 days. it’s despicable. At first I wanted to look past it but they’re been getting worse and worse. Better off paying taxes and going somewhere that will actually fill your cart up…… The picture below is how I received my cart RIGHT OUT THE PACKAGE. just want to save everyone time and money because this is ridiculous

I love this place. In and out quickly unlike other places. Online orders you don't have to wait in line with walk in orders. Just wish they had more variety from more distributors but I'm sure that will increase in time. Transaction fee for debit or credit is actually reasonable unlike other places where they gouge you a flat rate fee of $2.50-$3.50 which basically is ATM rates. Slater is very reasonable charging only the transaction cost and not trying to make a profit on people being none the wiser.

Ive been coming here since inception. I am a concentrate user . I just want to vent a bit and say your house carts are light . I'm paying a premium at even your sales prices . I expect to open a cart and see it full not looking like it's half vaped already .there is too much competition out there to be skimming your customers. Also the quality of the product from the time they first opened till now has definitely gone down hill .

I like this place cuz it's close to my home but that's about it. I feel like they're bud is overpriced and every bud they sell tastes exactly the same. Every single one tastes like citrus because all of their flower is treated with citric acid I'd rather drive an extra 20 minutes and spend an extra 10 bucks on gas to get cheaper. Better tasting product. I hope they change this. I hope they stop treating everything with citric acid. It's pretty convenient that they have a drive-thru that you can just literally order pull up. Give them your ID, grab your s*** and go.

The only good thing about this place is the drive through. The music is TOO LOUD for a business especially one that isn’t a bar/music venue. If I’m lucky when I place my order in house I’m waiting anywhere between 5-20 minutes. The place legit just gives u General anxiety if you’re in the facility for more than 10 minutes. I just wish this dispensary knew how to help customers and get them out of the door quickly like every dispensary I’ve been to previously.

I have been going there for the last 4 years. I mostly buy the 10 mg THC hard candy. I actually was able to quit smoking cigarettes because of it. Since it’s been legal they haven’t carried it as much. I hope they will make it regularly. Excellent customer service.

Don't waste your money. There are plenty of other places you can go like Mother Earth Wellness or Aura of Rhode Island...This place is only keeping up because they're giving out "deals". If they weren't giving out the "deals" no one would go there Also employees don't seem to always comprehend the discounts or "deals" or even honor them..... they may have been the 1st center but now they're the Worst center!!!!

Awful experience all around, you are better off going to any other RI dispensary, they will have better buds and absolutely better customer service. I arrived an hour after I received my confirmation email, and then proceeded to have to wait an extra 30 minutes for the employee to finally tell me he cant find my order. At this point I am told to call a manager if I am unhappy... really?? I then get hung up on by 2 separate employees after asking for a manager, with the third employee telling me that managers are too busy to talk... so apparently it's common practice to just hang up on customers after placing them on hold. I do not live close to Providence, so I appreciate you guys wasting both my time and money to get there. I would have loved to resolve this while I was there, or even over the phone, but was pretty much just given the middle finger after it was the company that made the mistake. Thanks guys. What a JOKE!

I haven’t been using slater for about a year; I decided to start returning because they have a particular strain I enjoy. My first trip back I had checked the hours on their app (stated open until 8pm) I get there about 7:20 and there’s signs on their doors that their hours changed. Understandable mistake but frustrating when you’re driving 30 minutes out of the way to come here. THEN my next visit I decide to order ahead online; they advertise this as EXPRESS pickup. I get there and the express line is the longest line in the building; I stand in a 30 minute line watching people order at the kiosk and get in and out of there much quicker then this “express” lane. I also witness the one girl who was helping the express lane taking her sweet time with each customer, no sense of urgency at all and letting particular regulars or friends stand to the side for a few minutes then clearly cut the line. I think if advertised as the express lane the person doing kiosk orders should stop and check out a few online orders when it gets that backed up. It didn’t seem fair at all and there’s nothing express about it taking 35 minutes just to pick up an online order.

The price of cartridges went from $35 to $55. A nearly 60% increase that I can't afford. It was bad enough that they never filled them. I'm looking forward to more dispensaries opening.EDIT: There have not been $35 cartridges in over a month. People use the compassion center for medicine...... a cartridge was $35 bucks which was pretty fair and similar to the fall river dispensaries. now they want $55 for a .5 gram! Go to fall river people you can get amazing tasting and high % ones like 70to100% carts for $26to $50.

They had a kiosk ordering system in place that I prefer over the customer service "Bud Tender" they are using currently. There are plenty of choices of methods to take medication. I don't smoke so Edibles are what I use. December 1st recreational marijuana will become available in Rhode Island which is exciting and hopefully results in more competive pricing. Only medical marijuana patients and their caregivers are allowed in the dispensary to shop. They have great staff who are willing and able to answer all questions and make targeted recommendations. Great place. Summer hours in effect. 10:30 am weekdays instead of 9 am.

REPLY TO OWNER: After speaking with your staff & managers SEVERAL times between calls and emails (they were very apologetic & polite), still no refund. I think 2 weeks waiting for MY money to be returned due to your companies error was enough and I have been more than patient. I understand there are processes, but you took A LOT of money that was not yours to take and then had me jumping through hoops to get it back, and have not returned it. People have bills to pay, but when they go to get medication they are prescribed and have money taken from them and not giving it back is basically stealing, and then leaving the patient/customer stressed and worried, THAT is ridiculous, $600 may not be a lot to your company, but to customers it is. I know others had their money taken that day also, but I was told by your staff that it was not as much as I had taken. I sure hope they all got their money back and aren't going through this... It happened May 7th, 2022, It's now June 9, 2022... have you released my money you took? No you haven't..never had a complaint about this compassion center until this.I seriously do not like to give bad reviews but it has now been 6 days since Thomas C. Slater ran my cc 2X @ $309.28, each time (and I ended up using the ATM & the fees to pay with cash due to the cc machines not working?? )and I still do NOT have my money back... this is ridiculous!!Update 5/15/22 8 days... Great place. Sadly they don't offer good deals. They charge you to use you credit card...a fee. If you go to Summit they refund you the fee however Summit does not accept credit cards. Someone working at Slater told me they accept HSA cards. Drive there and find they don't.

The amount of stems in these is ungodly. When it's 3.5g, that's *a lot* of weight to add that we have to pay for and can't use. I just opened my bag to see HUGE stems in there. When it's so expensive already, seeing that is incredibly disappointing. We should be able to get quality weed . This... is not it. You're the only option in 20 miles, but that shouldn't mean you take advantage of the customers. Quality control is very needed here - this is a medical clinic which means people with chronic conditions, likely already with medical debt, go to you often. We shouldn't have to pay more for subpar product.

One of their traffic guards lead me straight into a traffic cone. The older guard there gave me an attitude when I tried to explain what happened. 9/28/21 So I bought two oil cartridges. One is not full as the other. He should be just a little bit of space under the rim. I've complained about this before but this took the cake today. They wouldn't exchange it and she tried to pray tonight telling me that there was a air bubble where it said Thomas later Compassion Center on the cartridge. I am a MA patient and was tired of the small selection of repeating menu items at inflated/high pricing. I was traveling 35-40 minutes to the closest MA medical dispensary in my area, but when I discovered that RI accepts out of state patients I was optimistic to check the Thomas Slater Center out due to it only being 10 minutes away from me and the great reviews.Well, the good reviews are all true! My entire experience was professional, with quality goods at very reasonable prices. I mix and matched flour items and the quality was top notch! My bud tender was Gina Marie and she was very pleasant to talk to, not to mention very knowledgable. You can tell she cares about the product and the patients. Kudos. I inspected all my flour, and as an avid consumer of high quality cannabis for over 15 years I can say this MET all my standards for how my flour should look, smell, feel, taste, and burn! Besides the top shelf items, the prices are very reasonable.The only negative part of my experience came from another "patient" not from an employee. It was 8:00am on a Sunday morning and the car behind me was blasting music loud enough to sound like a club. Please post noise ordinance signs if possible. I can't imagine the polite security staff or bud tenders appreciate that noise either. They need to be able to effectively communicate transactions.Thanks for the experience today!

Covid19 temperature testing of every client, constantly wiping down the monitors from where you make your selection. And a nice awning outside to protect clients from the in climate conditions like rainfall. Very organized!! Edibles are the best here.

Two years ago I had four stars but I must edit my review because they have improved tremendously with the knowledge of their products. The customer service has improved. Their quality of bud has always been five stars compared to the other dispensaries. It’s incredible how fast the service is especially compared to the other compassion centers. Anyone who has to complain about slaters prices need to take a visit to the Massachusetts dispensary and see the price difference. Love you guys

I really liked going here for the first time today. Their kiosk ordering system is pretty awesome. You order on a tablet when you enter and wait for your name to be called to pick it up at the counter. They also offer curbside pickup for your online orders which decreases the amount of people inside drastically. The place's decor is really cool too. The layout was nice and it was very spacious. There was not a lot of people there when I went on a Friday morning around 10am. The prices were very fair as well. It was a little bit of a extra drive for me, but it was worth it.

I know that this is a strictly medical facility, so the staff can't sample, but they should at least know A BIT more about the products they're selling aside from what you can read on the label; if I ask about the texture of a concentrate, I kinda expect my budtender to be able to answer my question.Aside from that, the quality of product here isn't the most reliable. I've gotten very decent bud here, and then the next week have gotten flower that had seeds and, consequently, a grassy taste.I only stop in here for bud if I'm visiting from up north and run out of medicine to treat my gastric disease, and I always get a selection because I can never really count on quality, which is disappointing.Three stars though because their edibles are pretty fantastic. Very good selection, tasty, and they even have seasonal stuff sometimes, which is fun. Additionally, most all of their edibles are pretty tummy-gentle, which is nice for folks who can't always reach for a chocolate bar. I really recommended the coconut macaroons.

UPDATE: I received a call from the management at Slater Center today. They were very concerned about my well-being and disturbed to hear of the negative interaction I had yesterday, with Laura. I can honestly say I’ve never been so impressed at how sympathetically, promptly and compassionately they responded to my complaint. It would appear Slate Center still has compassion, and I thank them for taking the time to personally reach out to me and resolve this issue. -Thursday 1/14/2021ORIGINAL POST: Today I went to Slater’s drive-through to pick up an online order I had placed; something I have been doing since the start of the Pandemic, when they offered this as a safer alternative to entering the main facility. It’s a wonderful service. However today’s visit came with a confrontation with a very impolite manager named, Laura.I have never felt so disrespected. I have been a patient and dedicated supporter of Slater Center going on 5 years and have never had a problem with any manager or employee. They are usually so kind, sympathetic and full of compassion.Today’s confrontation revolved around a debit card billing error, on Slater’s behalf, which affected many patients, just over a year ago. Sparing the details, I was told by this manager if I didn’t pay up, I wouldn’t be able to buy any more medication from them. I explained I had called and spoken with a manager when they first implemented the practice of inserting a past due slip in each order and was told, “I’m OK, don’t worry about it.” I was also told at that time if I had the extra money to pay toward this debt I would need to enter the facility (something I have avoided due to the pandemic and the fact that I’m a cancer patient) and pay in person.Today after explaining all of this to Laura, and explaining I’m disabled so I receive SSDI once a month, and that I have Medicare, explaining that deductibles are now in effect since it’s a new year, and my prescriptions cost double my monthly income, her response to me was, “I don’t care. That’s not my problem. It’s been owed for over a year. My problem is clearing the outstanding debts in my books.”, which was the most incredible slap in the face.I was so upset at that point, especially since she wouldn’t listen to me, and continued to disrespect me and talk over me. Then she contradicted what I had been told, and read on their past due slips, by telling me I could have paid all year at the drive through. She repeated if I didn’t pay they wouldn’t provide my medication. Where’s the compassion?Ultimately after going back and forth, she agreed to allow me to pay $25/ month until paid off (approximately $130); but successfully managed to intimidate me and make me feel like a piece of dirt. She ended by saying, “So if you don’t pay the $25 dollars next week, you won’t be able to get your medicine.” -unbelievable.I hope this is not the direction Slater Compassion Center is going. I pray it’s is a single occasion of one poorly skilled manager’s bad decision on how to interact with me, and that Slater is not losing it’s Compassion. The layout and design is attractive, advertisements of their products is top notch, deals and prices reasonable. Covid19 temperature testing of every client, constantly wiping down the monitors from where you make your selection. And a nice awning outside to protect clients from the in climate conditions like rainfall. Very organized!!

My name is Christine BeauregardI was diagnosed with cancer not long ago. I immediately had the tumor removed. At least the one they found. The radiation was horrible. It did further damage to my throat. I felt as though I was breathing fire every time I opened my mouth. Food, was the last thing on my mind. The physical damage was very depressing. I had no one to turn to with questions or sympathy with what I was going threw. I have my sons, but it's not like your mom or your sister. My life was very gloomy, uncertain and sometimes I felt suicidal.But when I shared some of my info with the Compassion Center, they showed just that. Compassion. And to the fullest extent. From strangers even!!I'm 62, and on a fixed income. These people offered me help with some of their product. And I must say, their products are of the highest quality, and they are doing it free of charge!! They are helping me get threw these days, and shining the sun back down on me. They are the kindest, considerate most Compassionate people I've ever met, and I truely thank god for them everyday. I'm afraid of where I would have been without them. I would have given it a 5 star only because usually as a first patient you can get discounts and someone told me the state of Rhode Island isn’t giving out discounts since it’s a third party and it’s Covid. But then when I went to the sales associate she said I could get a paper showing how I can obtain discounts which was odd and confusing but other than that the service was great. The women were a awesome and informative and that’s what made my experience enjoyable. Will definitely be back

    I do love this place a lot but the online ordering system needs improvements. The whole idea of ordering online is so you can beat the lines and not have to wait. I placed an order online. Came to pick it up. They said it wasn’t ready. Guy told me to place ANOTHER order because that would be quicker than processing the online order? Which makes no sense. I’ve been here before and they just pull the order or tell you to wait. So instead of being further to the front of the workload. I now have to wait for everyone that’s already here. Which means I wait longer. Defeating the purpose of the preorder. Online orders need to be prioritized over walk in.

    October 30th I bought the Halloween bundle, it came with 2 eights 1 preroll, and a resin cartridge. Also a lighter, Looks like the cartridge is half full. I haven't used it yet, I'm disappointed. I get mad and I feel like I've haven't received what I paid for. I put a review on here around 2 years ago about the cartridges. I'm going to edit this review. This is just my honest review regarding the cartridges I do not have any problem with the people that work there they're great everybody's good it's just the cartridges.

    Stopped going to this dispensary due to them not giving you the amount they are suppose to. Grams are .8, .5 carts weigh out no more than .46. When asking multiple employees why the carts weren’t full, they said slater also sells them carts that aren’t full as well. When asking if they could get sued for that, and employee told me absolutely. And I was also told to bring in a scale and weigh it in front of them. No employee has given me any positive feedback about the center when complaining, they just agree. And they won’t add loyalty points onto your account for months and then try to cheat you out of point. WORST DISPENSARY IN RI FOR SURE. Save your time and your money. The cart below is directly out of the package. And unfortunately, most of the good reviews here are done by employees that are asked to do it upon hiring.

    DO NOT COME HERE FOR CARTS. They only have half grams and fill them HALF WAY so you have a huge hole and spent $35 on 1/4 of wax that you’ll finish in 2 days. it’s despicable. At first I wanted to look past it but they’re been getting worse and worse.     I love this place. In and out quickly unlike other places. Online orders you don't have to wait in line with walk in orders. Just wish they had more variety from more distributors but I'm sure that will increase in time. Transaction fee for debit or credit is actually reasonable unlike other places where they gouge you a flat rate fee of $2.50-$3.50 which basically is ATM rates. Slater is very reasonable charging only the transaction cost and not trying to make a profit on people being none the wiser.

I expect to open a cart and see it full not looking like it's half vaped already .there is too much competition out there to be skimming your customers.     I like this place cuz it's close to my home but that's about it. I feel like they're bud is overpriced and every bud they sell tastes exactly the same. Every single one tastes like citrus because all of their flower is treated with citric acid I'd rather drive an extra 20 minutes and spend an extra 10 bucks on gas to get cheaper. Better tasting product. I hope they change this. I hope they stop treating everything with citric acid. It's pretty convenient that they have a drive-thru that you can just literally order pull up. Give them your ID, grab your s*** and go.

    The only good thing about this place is the drive through. The music is TOO LOUD for a business especially one that isn’t a bar/music venue. If I’m lucky when I place my order in house I’m waiting anywhere between 5-20 minutes. The place legit just gives u General anxiety if you’re in the facility for more than 10 minutes. I just wish this dispensary knew how to help customers and get them out of the door quickly like every dispensary I’ve been to previously.

    Awful experience all around, you are better off going to any other RI dispensary, they will have better buds and absolutely better customer service. I arrived an hour after I received my confirmation email, and then proceeded to have to wait an extra 30 minutes for the employee to finally tell me he cant find my order. At this point I am told to call a manager if I am unhappy... really?? I then get hung up on by 2 separate employees after asking for a manager, with the third employee telling me that managers are too busy to talk... so apparently it's common practice to just hang up on customers after placing them on hold. I do not live close to Providence, so I appreciate you guys wasting both my time and money to get there. I would have loved to resolve this while I was there, or even over the phone, but was pretty much just given the middle finger after it was the company that made the mistake. Thanks guys.     I haven’t been using slater for about a year; I decided to start returning because they have a particular strain I enjoy. My first trip back I had checked the hours on their app (stated open until 8pm) I get there about 7:20 and there’s signs on their doors that their hours changed. Understandable mistake but frustrating when you’re driving 30 minutes out of the way to come here. THEN my next visit I decide to order ahead online; they advertise this as EXPRESS pickup. I get there and the express line is the longest line in the building; I stand in a 30 minute line watching people order at the kiosk and get in and out of there much quicker then this “express” lane. I also witness the one girl who was helping the express lane taking her sweet time with each customer, no sense of urgency at all and letting particular regulars or friends stand to the side for a few minutes then clearly cut the line. I think if advertised as the express lane the person doing kiosk orders should stop and check out a few online orders when it gets that backed up. It didn’t seem fair at all and there’s nothing express about it taking 35 minutes just to pick up an online order.

    The price of cartridges went from $35 to $55. A nearly 60% increase that I can't afford. It was bad enough that they never filled them. I'm looking forward to more dispensaries opening.EDIT: There have not been $35 cartridges in over a month. Thankfully RISE(formally summit) and Nature's Medicine haven't increased their pricing. $30 per cart at Rise.

    They went way up on their price. RI went legal and THEY WENT UP! People use the compassion center for medicine...... a cartridge was $35 bucks which was pretty fair and similar to the fall river dispensaries. now they want $55 for a .5 gram! Go to fall river people you can get amazing tasting and high % ones like 70to100% carts for $26to $50.

I don't smoke so Edibles are what I use. December 1st recreational marijuana will become available in Rhode Island which is exciting and hopefully results in more competive pricing. Only medical marijuana patients and their caregivers are allowed in the dispensary to shop. They have great staff who are willing and able to answer all questions and make targeted recommendations. Great place. Summer hours in effect. 10:30 am weekdays instead of 9 am.

    REPLY TO OWNER: After speaking with your staff & managers SEVERAL times between calls and emails (they were very apologetic & polite), still no refund. I think 2 weeks waiting for MY money to be returned due to your companies error was enough and I have been more than patient. I understand there are processes, but you took A LOT of money that was not yours to take and then had me jumping through hoops to get it back, and have not returned it. People have bills to pay, but when they go to get medication they are prescribed and have money taken from them and not giving it back is basically stealing, and then leaving the patient/customer stressed and worried, THAT is ridiculous, $600 may not be a lot to your company, but to customers it is. I know others had their money taken that day also, but I was told by your staff that it was not as much as I had taken. I sure hope they all got their money back and aren't going through this... It happened May 7th, 2022, It's now June 9, 2022... have you released my money you took? No you haven't..never had a complaint about this compassion center until this.I seriously do not like to give bad reviews but it has now been 6 days since Thomas C. Slater ran my cc 2X @ $309.28, each time (and I ended up using the ATM & the fees to pay with cash due to the cc machines not working?? )and I still do NOT have my money back... this is ridiculous!!Update 5/15/22 8 days...     Great place. Sadly they don't offer good deals. They charge you to use you credit card...a fee. If you go to Summit they refund you the fee however Summit does not accept credit cards. Someone working at Slater told me they accept HSA cards. Drive there and find they don't.

    The amount of stems in these is ungodly. When it's 3.5g, that's *a lot* of weight to add that we have to pay for and can't use. I just opened my bag to see HUGE stems in there. When it's so expensive already, seeing that is incredibly disappointing. We should be able to get quality weed . This... is not it. You're the only option in 20 miles, but that shouldn't mean you take advantage of the customers. Quality control is very needed here - this is a medical clinic which means people with chronic conditions, likely already with medical debt, go to you often. We shouldn't have to pay more for subpar product.

    Line was crazy but there drive thru systems on point. Employees run and I mean run you when you pull in. They hustle for sure! Order was correct ! No complaints!!     One of their traffic guards lead me straight into a traffic cone. The older guard there gave me an attitude when I tried to explain what happened. They'll hire anyone with a pulse there.Edit: I had already spoken to management. They just told me they can't do anything because they outsource their guards from another company. Best to just ignore them I guess.

I notice in one of the reviews someone has said the same and you replied saying you guys disagree with that statement, but how can you disagree with your customers review… you should actually look into it it’s true there’s other places that charge less for there high grade product than you do your low grace product AND medical cards aren’t required, since it’s just a hassle to even get in your dispensary you should atleast have the best quality buds around but other than that there’s truly no complaints y’all like a 3 star company can’t hold you

    9/28/21 So I bought two oil cartridges. One is not full as the other. He should be just a little bit of space under the rim. I've complained about this before but this took the cake today. They wouldn't exchange it and she tried to pray tonight telling me that there was a air bubble where it said Thomas later Compassion Center on the cartridge.     I am a MA patient and was tired of the small selection of repeating menu items at inflated/high pricing. I was traveling 35-40 minutes to the closest MA medical dispensary in my area, but when I discovered that RI accepts out of state patients I was optimistic to check the Thomas Slater Center out due to it only being 10 minutes away from me and the great reviews.Well, the good reviews are all true! My entire experience was professional, with quality goods at very reasonable prices. I mix and matched flour items and the quality was top notch! My bud tender was Gina Marie and she was very pleasant to talk to, not to mention very knowledgable. You can tell she cares about the product and the patients. Kudos. I inspected all my flour, and as an avid consumer of high quality cannabis for over 15 years I can say this MET all my standards for how my flour should look, smell, feel, taste, and burn! Besides the top shelf items, the prices are very reasonable.The only negative part of my experience came from another "patient" not from an employee. It was 8:00am on a Sunday morning and the car behind me was blasting music loud enough to sound like a club. Please post noise ordinance signs if possible. I can't imagine the polite security staff or bud tenders appreciate that noise either. They need to be able to effectively communicate transactions.Thanks for the experience today!

    Two years ago I had four stars but I must edit my review because they have improved tremendously with the knowledge of their products. The customer service has improved. Their quality of bud has always been five stars compared to the other dispensaries. It’s incredible how fast the service is especially compared to the other compassion centers. Anyone who has to complain about slaters prices need to take a visit to the Massachusetts dispensary and see the price difference. Love you guys

    I really liked going here for the first time today. Their kiosk ordering system is pretty awesome. You order on a tablet when you enter and wait for your name to be called to pick it up at the counter. They also offer curbside pickup for your online orders which decreases the amount of people inside drastically. The place's decor is really cool too. The layout was nice and it was very spacious. There was not a lot of people there when I went on a Friday morning around 10am. The prices were very fair as well. It was a little bit of a extra drive for me, but it was worth it.

    I know that this is a strictly medical facility, so the staff can't sample, but they should at least know A BIT more about the products they're selling aside from what you can read on the label; if I ask about the texture of a concentrate, I kinda expect my budtender to be able to answer my question.Aside from that, the quality of product here isn't the most reliable. I've gotten very decent bud here, and then the next week have gotten flower that had seeds and, consequently, a grassy taste.I only stop in here for bud if I'm visiting from up north and run out of medicine to treat my gastric disease, and I always get a selection because I can never really count on quality, which is disappointing.Three stars though because their edibles are pretty fantastic. Very good selection, tasty, and they even have seasonal stuff sometimes, which is fun. Additionally, most all of their edibles are pretty tummy-gentle, which is nice for folks who can't always reach for a chocolate bar. I really recommended the coconut macaroons.

It would be nice if they had more variety and options at lower prices though, their flower is pretty pricey averaging 45-55 for an 8th. They don’t have a good variety for less than that and when they do they limit how much you can purchase.

I can honestly say I’ve never been so impressed at how sympathetically, promptly and compassionately they responded to my complaint. It would appear Slate Center still has compassion, and I thank them for taking the time to personally reach out to me and resolve this issue. -Thursday 1/14/2021ORIGINAL POST: Today I went to Slater’s drive-through to pick up an online order I had placed; something I have been doing since the start of the Pandemic, when they offered this as a safer alternative to entering the main facility. It’s a wonderful service. However today’s visit came with a confrontation with a very impolite manager named, Laura.I have never felt so disrespected. I have been a patient and dedicated supporter of Slater Center going on 5 years and have never had a problem with any manager or employee. They are usually so kind, sympathetic and full of compassion.Today’s confrontation revolved around a debit card billing error, on Slater’s behalf, which affected many patients, just over a year ago. Sparing the details, I was told by this manager if I didn’t pay up, I wouldn’t be able to buy any more medication from them. I explained I had called and spoken with a manager when they first implemented the practice of inserting a past due slip in each order and was told, “I’m OK, don’t worry about it.” I was also told at that time if I had the extra money to pay toward this debt I would need to enter the facility (something I have avoided due to the pandemic and the fact that I’m a cancer patient) and pay in person.Today after explaining all of this to Laura, and explaining I’m disabled so I receive SSDI once a month, and that I have Medicare, explaining that deductibles are now in effect since it’s a new year, and my prescriptions cost double my monthly income, her response to me was, “I don’t care. That’s not my problem. It’s been owed for over a year. My problem is clearing the outstanding debts in my books.”, which was the most incredible slap in the face.I was so upset at that point, especially since she wouldn’t listen to me, and continued to disrespect me and talk over me. Then she contradicted what I had been told, and read on their past due slips, by telling me I could have paid all year at the drive through. She repeated if I didn’t pay they wouldn’t provide my medication. Where’s the compassion?Ultimately after going back and forth, she agreed to allow me to pay $25/ month until paid off (approximately $130); but successfully managed to intimidate me and make me feel like a piece of dirt. She ended by saying, “So if you don’t pay the $25 dollars next week, you won’t be able to get your medicine.” -unbelievable.I hope this is not the direction Slater Compassion Center is going. I pray it’s is a single occasion of one poorly skilled manager’s bad decision on how to interact with me, and that Slater is not losing it’s Compassion. The Rosin was Always great. The last one I got the consistency was different. It was more like Wax and not Rosin. I hope the next time things r like they use to be. Workers are still great.

    My name is Christine BeauregardI was diagnosed with cancer not long ago. I immediately had the tumor removed. At least the one they found. The radiation was horrible. It did further damage to my throat. I felt as though I was breathing fire every time I opened my mouth. Food, was the last thing on my mind. The physical damage was very depressing. I had no one to turn to with questions or sympathy with what I was going threw. I have my sons, but it's not like your mom or your sister. My life was very gloomy, uncertain and sometimes I felt suicidal.But when I shared some of my info with the Compassion Center, they showed just that. Compassion. And to the fullest extent. From strangers even!!I'm 62, and on a fixed income. These people offered me help with some of their product. And I must say, their products are of the highest quality, and they are doing it free of charge!! They are helping me get threw these days, and shining the sun back down on me. They are the kindest, considerate most Compassionate people I've ever met, and I truely thank god for them everyday. I'm afraid of where I would have been without them. Thank you dearly, for all of your help Slater. 🙂

    I would have given it a 5 star only because usually as a first patient you can get discounts and someone told me the state of Rhode Island isn’t giving out discounts since it’s a third party and it’s Covid. But then when I went to the sales associate she said I could get a paper showing how I can obtain discounts which was odd and confusing but other than that the service was great. The women were a awesome and informative and that’s what made my experience enjoyable. Will definitely be back
