Always a great experience coming to the Short Pump outlet. Delanie and Rachel have always provided me excellent service. They are both very knowledgeable and very patient with me as we discuss my particular needs and requirements. Waited 50 years for the legalization of cannabis and never thought I'd see this day but itl has truly improved my life.😀
The short pump location is my favorite, all the employees and very kind and polite, you're greeted by lovely pictures of pets and a bubbly staff :)Sometimes the online menu doesn't match what's in store but the budtenders are experienced and offer other nice options at a similar price range
Alex was absolutely wonderful and nice. He explained everything I need to know. First review ever written but Alex was willing to answer any questions and deserves a shoutout! Alex, you ROCK
Caitlin P, Thx for helping me out. 🙂 I find the staff are always very helpful and knowledgeable. My order is always ready and received as expected. Great service, Thx!
Definitely wishing we did more research regarding the weed situation in VA before we moved here. I probably wouldn’t have bothered getting my medical card. Better off growing it or just driving to Maryland. The prices are just so obnoxious and there’s almost no selection. In Oregon you can get 1G carts for $25, 100MG edibles for $7 and flower anywhere from $80-$300 for a OZ depending on quality you’re looking for. It actually pisses me off how awful this place is. Totally ripping off their customers purely because they can.
Ethan C provided great customer service! He collected my order in a timely manner & had a memorable smile. My first review ever and he was worth it. Thanks!
We placed an order on 3.27 and were told the order would be ready between 630 and 7. We arrived at 6:55 and waited on the car in front of us which took almost 10 minutes to receive the order. We pulled up to the window and the security gautd just looked over the railing staring at us. He didn't motion us to come forward or signal anything e k se. A car pulled in behind us. We waited 10 minutes and no on came to the window. The security guard looked around the corner again so we pulled up. He said they closed at 7. I told him we were here before 7. I also said why couldnt the attendant come to the window and tell us.or why he couldn't tell us. They may want to invest in an open and closed sign. When these products become legal for recreational use this place will finally close. What a waste of my time.
Today was the last straw.with GLeaf. Placed a pick up order for my wife to pick up. Store closed early-no text, call or email. Apparently there was an email sent yet never got it, and I get updates on deals, store hours, et.al. My back went out on me, and now I can't get what I need for pain, which is not on the delivery menu. Nonetheless, the products are not great quality, overpriced, staff has no knowledge to help patients; this is really a rec dispensary that rips off medical patients. Can't wait for more competition and getting my own grow going.
I used to love coming here for medication, however over the last 4-5 months they have been incredibly slow with wait times. I have seen a line of people standing outside waiting to go in more than once. I have waited over 15 minutes standing in line to get my products on an average weekday. Order ahead has been unavailable a lot here recently, and considering the in-person waiting times, going there at all feels like a chore now. I don't know if they are understaffed, but it's gotten to a point where I wish there was another dispensary closer by. Not to mention, their product availability and selection isn't great, it's gotten pretty limited and sells out quickly. Staff could be more helpful and courteous. I hope things improve soon.
Products are decent. They are a bit pricey. Biggest complaint is the inability to staff properly for holidays. You'll be waiting over an hour to purchase while only half of their kiosks are filled with employees working. Employees are great and friendly, management is incompetent.
Like everyone is saying, this place has the driest bud since the Egyptians. Also, have never seen a dispensary have as many "technical issues" as this place, they seem to have a problem once every two weeks or so.This state's dispensaries are absolutely pathetic. This is what happens when you're more concerned about equality, and money, than you are about growing good product. This company won't last once everyone else is allowed to sell, so enjoy it while you can, gWeak.
The service is terrible. I waited 30 minutes in one line while people that had pick up orders were directed to all 3 lines ahead of us as if we were not there, not to mention we were there before several of the people that had pick up orders.Just because of a pick up order does not give anyone more importance or priority. One line should have been established for the pick up orders or even 2. Either way don't leave your customers standing watching others receiving service while they are just being bypassed even by people that are arriving after them.
From the moment I stepped into gLeaf Short Pump, I was enveloped in a welcoming and serene atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The staff here are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly, always ready to guide both seasoned cannabis connoisseurs and newcomers alike through their extensive and premium product range. The variety of products available is truly impressive, catering to a wide array of preferences and needs. From vibrant, aromatic flowers to a myriad of edibles, tinctures, and topicals, gLeaf ensures that every customer finds exactly what they're looking for. The quality of their cannabis is unmistakable, boasting potent and flavorful profiles that signify a meticulous selection and cultivation process. What truly sets gLeaf Short Pump apart, however, is their unwavering commitment to customer education and safety. The bud tenders are more than happy to delve into detailed explanations about different strains, products, and their appropriate dosages, ensuring that every customer feels confident and informed about their purchases. The layout of the dispensary is thoughtfully designed, making product perusal both easy and enjoyable. Clean, well-organized displays allow customers to navigate the store effortlessly, while the cozy ambiance invites them to linger and explore at their own pace.In terms of pricing, gLeaf strikes a commendable balance between quality and affordability, offering competitive prices without compromising on the premium nature of their products. They also run frequent promotions and a rewarding loyalty program, ensuring great value for their patrons. In conclusion, gLeaf Short Pump is not merely a dispensary – it's a holistic experience for anyone seeking high-quality cannabis products in a friendly, informative, and positive environment. Whether you're exploring cannabis for medicinal or recreational purposes, gLeaf stands out as a beacon of quality and customer-centric service in the cannabis retail landscape.
PREORDERS SHOULD BE REQUIRED! the techs and RPHs are great and I couldn’t thank them more during these hard times. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LOOK AT THE MENU BEFORE YOU COME OR PLACE A PREORDER. Several times I have been stuck waiting 15+ minutes because the person infront of me has decided to look through every item on the menu like it isn’t on three massive screens above them or online. Would move much more efficiently if preorders were required. Be considerate of others and the staff especially when it’s 630 at night. Be prepared. Be respectful.
I’ve been using this place for two years hoping it would get better. It hasn’t. The flower is brittle and dry and tasteless. It’s overpriced. The drivers are wonderful and I give them props for courteous delivery. There’s my two cents worth. I’ll make the drive to Maryland moving forward.
I feel like every time I visit this location something is a bit off. They have omitted products online that are in stock, the staff seem to have an attitude at that location as if they’re annoyed to see and serve patients, and they also seem to be on each other’s nerves when I’ve visited. Their product selection is ok, but they seem have less selection than other locations, but that could be subjective. But I still try to avoid this location if at all possible. I’ve had excellent experiences at the other locations.
Products are sub par and pre packaged. I had the stemmiest eighth that I had seen since the schwag days some 30 years ago. Preety sad really...and for these prices in today's normal market would not hold. Enjoy it while it lasts, Goldman...it will stop as soon as full legqlization occyrs. You will go under operating like this. I preferred the prohibition days in ol' VA
Staff are all incredibly helpful. This was only my second time going, and I feel far more knowledgeable about the product than I ever did before.
Does anyone know why the drive thru for pick up has Been closed for a month now I mean I don't mind going inside but I preffered the drove through cuz of my anxiety issues lol
Flowers are dry and tasteless. Prices are ridiculously high. Staff is rude. They hire anyone. Never again. I grow better flower at home.
Very pleasant staff. Well managed and professionally serviced. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Always helpful staff!!!. One of the cartriges named Pineapple Upside Down, had completely leaked out. I was informed there is about a 3% chance of failure. It's a hour drive back. Just a FYI.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. I wish there were more edible options as I don't smoke prohibited by cardiologists but I got what I needed for my anxiety!!
The Short Pump location is ideal for me, and though I have been there a couple of times and was able to preorder what I needed, the dispensary itself isn’t exactly what one might expect from the SINGLE location in one of the absolute busiest areas of West End RVA.Firstly, as another reviewer noted, it’s dimly lit, I don’t recall hearing any music, which allows others to hear one’s discussion w/the pharmacy techs (does HIPAA not apply to medical cannabis? If patients have to go through the whole security process system thingy, etc., because it is considered a pharmacy after all, where’s the concern for privacy?), there’s nothing on display, so you cannot see or smell anything prior to paying (which I suppose isn’t the end of the world), so you’re pretty much stuck with whatever you get despite the return policy, which I expect is deliberately difficult — for example, two of the gLeaf 3.5’s I’ve gotten have contained far too many stems for the express purpose of adding weight, which, again, doesn’t signal the end of the world, but that’s still some pretty shady business. They know they have no competition at present keeping them honest, so why not?Secondly, it’s kinda hard to understand why the Short Pump dispensary lacks the inventory of the other stores. I mean, it’s nothing compared to the other locations. In fact, I have to make the hike out to Colonial Heights this afternoon for the edibles I need. Sure, I could always go to Carytown, but I already have enough anxiety in my life, and I do not want to endure that traffic/parking gauntlet. I did ask about inventory and the tech just shrugged and said, “I have no idea.”Pretty freaking great…Finally, during my last visit there, I had preordered everything and had no questions, so chose the drive-through because the wait inside sucked. Yet, after sitting next to the window for far too long without anyone acknowledging me, I finally went inside. The security guy was okay, however, the receptionist wasn’t. Giving the benefit of the doubt, perhaps that particular individual doesn’t realize how they come across.Looking very much forward to when recreational cannabis is fully legal and available in VA. gLeaf may want to consider that inevitability.
First time at a VA dispensary was on 4/20. The place was jumpin' with customers, inside and in the drive-thru. I went inside. You enter into a small lobby/waitingbroom after an ID and card check. Access is limited to patient or caregiver so don't haul the whole tribe up there. I had not registered with gleaf prior to arriving so I had to fill out a form on an ipad before shopping. Store access is limited, so you might have to wait in the lobby a minute. Things moved pretty quickly. I advise having a good idea of what you want before you go. The digital menu boards are a little overwhelming to take in when you are in line. Products on the website for this location were available at the store, at least what I was interested in. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
I love this place because of how effortlessly they make it but I’ve got some big issues with them as well. One the people who work behind the counters are not at all happy or friendly. There will be 2 or 3 just talking and not helping the customers who are standing in line. Two and this to me is the biggest issue they never EVER have good or different options of pre rolls or edibles I mean if you compare them to the Carytown location who always seems to have at minimum 9 to 10 different types this location only as at average 3 or 4 and there always the same and always low THC.
I just have 3 problems,. But only 2 positives with GLeaf. Problem 1. If you buy pre rolls, they burn way too quickly. 2. If you buy a ⅛, it's probably not. 3. Sometimes they have only a few people taking care of a lot of patients. Good thing 1. You get what you pay for, and trust me it's great. 2. The staff is so cool and fun. They'll just talk with you. A good dispensary indeed. But sometimes some products can be over priced.
Do your research. You're essentially getting scammed. It may be convenient but companies like these are medical only. They lobby against recreational use so they continue to farm money off overpriced products. I recommend going to DC and you will still save money even with fuel prices.
Great service. The staff was super friendly and very informative of their products. There is a person to greet you at the door for admission, so be aware and don’t run into them. Everyone was more than willing to offer help or assistance in whichever way they could.
This location is very clean and orderly.I feel really safe with the security measures taken when entering.I thoroughly enjoy the convenience of the drive through option when pre ordering. All the pharmacy technicians are super helpful.
Super helpful and supportive staff. My only complaint is that they operate on a fluctuating menu, and sometimes do not have the products that I need. Overall though, excellent customer service, and welcoming environment.
I like this store. It has good selection, the employees are friendly, and they generally keep a good stock. However, as someone who used to have a Pennsylvania medical card and who did a lot of shopping at PA stores, I do think the store could do somethings to improve. First, having a rewards/points program would be a huge plus from my perspective. It makes the customer happy, helps on the pocket book, and from a customer retention point of view, the more points I have with a store the less likely I am to go anywhere else. Second, diversifying the product lines would be a plus. Only having gLeaf brand stuff can sometimes be a bummer. I get the vertical integration aspect but, as a customer, I prefer choice. Besides, if gLeaf is the most quality brand put it up against the competitors. I will buy what I think is the best quality.
Visited gLeaf for the first time today. Debbie was an absolute doll and super helpful!!! She listened to my concerns, explained in detail and recommended products tailored to what I needed, and related to me which made me feel heard and appreciated! Would totally wait to be helped by Debbie next time! Also, I was very happy with overall experience at gLeaf in short pump! 🙂
They have some issues with keeping products in stock. They have a bad problem at keeping their menu updated on website. And of course the prices are High, staff is friendly and mostly knowledgeable.
I took my LAST trip to Gleaf today to exchange 2 bad cartridges. It took me 35 minutes. As I was chatting with people in line I was approached by the security guard and told I needed to stay out of people's faces. Seriously? I'm so glad I found another dispensary. People who think this place is good need to do their research. You're getting ripped off.
Delivery (4 star update ~August 6)Delivery service has been great and has improved my opinion of gLeaf substantially. This is the way to go once you are an established patient. That being said in the future I'd like to be able to specify a delivery time instead of just sometime tomorrow :)Second Trip (3 star update ~July 5)Well I made my second visit today, later in the same week as my initial review below and am updating my rating to 3 stars for now. Both trips I've had to wait outside on the order of 45 minutes in the July heat mid day. On my second trip they had fortunately setup a small canopy outside for returning patients to wait that was covered to escape the sun. Once I made it to the indoor waiting room the staff was able to use the corrected paperwork I received from my doctor; however, the waiting period inside was quite substantial to finally be allowed in to shop and check out. I'd say expect to be here 1 to 2 hours if the line is out the door midday, especially if it is your first time as a new customer. Their front desk mentioned they were having to bear a lot of the burden of paperwork with changes to legal requirements July 2022. They do offer delivery and pickup services which I will try going forward to minimize the amount of time involved in this transaction.Initial Visit (1 star ~July 3)Received a medical certificate from a well known company, brought it here the next day and was turned away for it not having the "correct information". Wasted hours of my time and fuel to be turned away because of some clerical error that a date was missing at the bottom of a form. In the process of being turned away my first time here, I got to watch several returning customers be turned away after spending thousands here because their existing medical cards are no longer accepted and they needed to bring a precursor piece of paperwork with them due to a law change on 7/1/22. Beware if you are visiting now that you better have your original recommendation form and that it must have the "master stamp number" on it at the very bottom of the page or else you won't be allowed in.
What more could I want than a pleasant, amicable, and knowledgeable staff that sells a top quality product either by way of in store purchase or delivery?I appreciate excellence in service. I am made to feel welcome rather than a chore to be dealt with ASAP. Then get her out of here!!All staff were patient with me, and answered all of my queries in a fashion that I easily understood.Kudos, gLeaf Short Pump¡!Customer for Life!!
Clean, safe and very organized.Knowledgeable staff, friendly and helpful. Comfortable mood.

Great location and products but they changed the store hours so now they close at 6 pmAnd This is the second time I have went in with a picture of my license because I lost my physical one and they wouldn’t let but the did before so this time again I waited in line to get in for 2.5 hours to get my prescription to be told they changed the rules AGAIN
I just drove 30 minutes to their Short Pump store. They said paperwork that you need changes tomorrow. Would not sell me anything today, said I need a stamp at the bottom of my paperwork. Never needed it before.? This place is really horrible. look online at their prices! They charge Virginia residents over twice as much as they are charging residents of Maryland for the same products. I will keep going to DC for now. Once they have competition in Richmond, I will never go there again. People need their products for pain, etc and they take advantage of you! Please remember that when new stores open, I know I will!
Customer service is outstanding. Was able to help me navigate through their choices of salves... For muscle relaxing. Also very knowledgeable about products for sativa choices
Great people that work there. They've been able to offer great service and can answer any questions.
Great store and staff I travel roughly about 3 hours just to go here .. well worth it
Product not the quality expected and overpriced - crazily, the staff was helpful. The delivery driver was see some! The Presstabs were a waste of money had absolutely no effect.
1st visit.Person helping me was very nice but wasn't giving me the info I was seeking. Will go again but will choose another person for advice.2nd visit.Found someone who had more knowledge. Went in with particular items in mind but neither was available, popular I guess. A good experience. Place is neat, both ways, and clean. I do wish things were out for display. If you don't know what you are looking for you can't really browse. I understand that this is a dispensary not a retail store but let's have a look at what is available. Also only cash is accepted. Something about federal law. Overall another good experience.
Overall, a poor experience. The front desk staff & security were welcoming. The main room is, dimly lit, no music, & no products are on display. When checking out, there is no screen displaying your purchases or products as they are rung up. Despite the overpriced products & laid back nature of the store; the customer service is sub-par. I look forward to shopping at other dispensaries as VA expands recreational cannabis policies & licenses.
Best marijuana around. Hands down. Great quality
Gleaf is the new mid. The drive-in is a nice feature, but this place consistently sells amateur caliber flower for exorbitant prices. I’ve tried 12-15 types since they started selling flower, and there was only 1 type that had decent flavor & potency. All the rest were underwhelming to say the least. It’s an absolute joke when compared to other dispensaries around the country. It’s back to the grey market for this guy, they have gotten the absolute last of my dollars.
Columbia care please stop sending your junk flower to VA. Most of us aren't stupid. I've tried several of your products in Maryland and DC and they're much better and cheaper. For the price you've been charging us, it should be fire and its just not. Its over dried and not cured well at all. Not to mention the herms. People will remember this once you finally have competition. Not a good business model if you can't out perform the quality of the black market. Not to mention your prices. With that said i appreciate the movement and your efforts
