They always have what I want in stock as I pre order before I go in; the people there are friendly…. This time I tried the blue cookies, red velvet, cookie dough, and rainbow gummies gold flavors. They taste great! I got the loyalty points so next time is $15 off!

Some thoughts about gLeaf from an employee who quit- after about six months I decided to resign due to an extremely toxic work atmosphere and major security issues. Management doesn't care about patients, or their employees and importance is often placed heavily on their own time instead of the patients needs. The entire time I worked there, every single time a patient asked for a consult (something they're legally allowed to have), it was an issue with the pharmacist. Somehow they are always too busy even though it should be one of the most important parts of their jobs... to help the patients. They limit capacity to a ridiculous amount constantly as to "not stress the techs", leaving medical patients just standing in the heat, or pouring rain at times for a while. Sometimes, they’re even turned away while already in line before it’s even closing which is not allowed. In my opinion, if you are in line for a business prior to closing you should be allowed in. Any inability to help these patients is not a flaw on the patients part, but on the pharmacists and gLeaf as a whole. Locations should be staffed adequately to help patients, not legitimately hinder them consistently from getting there medicine. If a new patient comes in 15~ to closing, we're told to turn them away even though the VP of the company told us we cannot do this. The pharmacist still do, as to not stay late. Security is a joke. For whatever reason only some of the locations get full security. Cannabist isn't one of them. They have reception doing security constantly. Mostly young women who are not trained, or paid extra, or insured for the danger this places on them. I've had registered sex offenders harass me at work and nothing was done about it. A shooting happened ten minutes away and there was no security all day. I’d also like to touch on discrimination. Whether they mean to or not, gLeaf heavily discriminates. An example without going into details: one day a white man came in with his child and needed assistance getting an order. we helped that man. another day a black woman came in with her child and needed assistance. Not only did they treat her like she was a criminal, and not help her, but they called her a bad mother behind her back. I was..appalled. As a policy we should NEVER watch a patients child, something I’m surprised I would even have to explain. So why did we do it so easily for the white man, but not the black woman?gLeaf doesn’t care about you. It is so poorly managed, it's a shame. I left due to my safety continually being compromised and the fact that it was obvious patients, and employees, don’t matter to anyone within the company. All that matters is their bottom. Even at reception, we’re told to turn people away for the slightest things. This is across dispensaries. I am in shock when I hear how Short Pump speaks to their patients, and I’m sad that it’s being brought over now to Carytown as well. After months of sticking it out because I did actually like the job I was hired to do, I couldn’t stomach watching how the mistreatment of patients was becoming a legitimate norm, as well as the treatment of their employees. Props to some people that don’t totally suck within the company- Farrah at reception, Wes and Reggie at Manchester, Jess and Tyler in the call center..it’s sad when you can’t name but a few. Anyway, that’s my experience with gLeaf. It’s sad they have a monopoly here, and I can only hope with time it will improve.

Mixed bag. 4 stars for the product. What's not to love? How about price, trimming, selection, availability. Also making people stand in 95+° when there is seating inside doesn’t make sense. What are the seats & benches for? Run like they're the only guys in town because they are.

Not medically friendly in the slightest, this may as well be recreational focused. Need consistent strains or accessible entry? This isn't the place for you. Too bad there's no where else to go, the only reason this place gets business is location and exclusivity

Before last week, I had no comparison for dispensaries, so I thought Cannabist and Gleaf was the best. But seriously after being in CT, RI, NY, & Boston, I saw an array of products and medicines that makes me think we really do need competition and other players . The "REAL Recreational" Dispensaries just require an ID and immediate entry, and The recreational here seems just as good as the medical in VA Only drawback,... A lot of taxes on purchase... from memory.. :"Adult use Tax"... local use tax.. AND ..state tax.. on 1 purchase..
This is the most beautiful shop in Richmond and they usually have more products I like and the service there is AWSOME!! very nice well put together place for sure!!

Everyone here is very sweet and makes me feel at home when I’m there getting my medication. I’ve never had a bad interaction with any of the employees and I am astounding by anyone that has.

The staff at the front of the dispensary are rude and unprofessional. I went in for the first time and never made it past the front counter (I ended up leaving because my experience was so bad). The woman was very impatient and dismissive and just kept telling me (probably 4 or 5 times) that they were going to close soon even though there was a half an hour left until closing. She knew it was my first time and still proceeded to treat me as if I should have understood the process once there (getting annoyed if I asked her a question). It was a demoralizing experience and felt like a case of overt discrimination. My husband was with me and agreed that the way I was treated was unacceptable. I’d be interested in knowing if other people of color have had this type of experience at Cannabist because the way I was treated definitely felt racially motivated. It’s sad that this place has 4 stars. I wonder what percentage of those reviews are written by POC? Thankfully Gleaf in Short Pump had more professional staff and treated me with more respect and human dignity.

Good location. Enough parking for their traffic. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I like this location much better than both Short Pump and Manchester. I would suggest this location over the others. Enjoy

First off, I didn't like how a security guard blocks you on the sidewalk before you enter and asks for identification. I mean, I think they can do that inside and not on a public sidewalk. As far as the the selection - the vape cartridges were good but expensive. It was my first time and I didn't realize how small the cartridges were compared to what I was used to. I paid what I was used to for a cartridge that was 1/2 to 1/4 the size. In the end I guess it's good to have an option for high quality products but I can see the financial side of it being hard on many. I think more competition in the space is needed vs a government imposed monopoly.

This is a great shop and John the pharmacist is very knowledgeable and helpful. I just hope the prices come down one day, especially for the live rosin. So nice not to have to go to Decatur Street or way out to Short Pump. Having parking in the back is great also.
