The employees use to be so helpful, use to be my favorite dispensary, but lately NOT AT ALLI asked an employee about a product and he told me to go home and google it. I replied it don’t want too, why can’t you tell me. He then repeated, I recommend google! Another time, I asked a guy about the discount card, he just ignored me and proceeded with check out. I double asked & he said “ you were so passionate about what you were saying, I don’t interrupt!” Bro what? After, getting home, I realized the discount could have most definitely be applied but I guess I should have just shut up and maybe I would have been givin it. This has become the worst dispensary in Pittsburgh. I never get attitude or complete ignorance from any other dispensary. What happen.Update…. Read the other reviews and you guys have been treating us like trash for almost 5 years!!! You guys have to realize it’s you!!

Been to several dispensaries in the Pittsburgh area and in my opinion Sunnyside has some of the best deals and sales you can find in town. Even if you find yourself standing in a long line, the people there are so professional and courteous that you will be checking out in no time. Never had to wait for another cashier to open another drawer. They are prepared and punctual .

It's hit and miss with this place. there are a few employees there that are actually a pleasure to converse with. I dont know her name, but the younger black lady who works there always makes me smile. if you go during the slow times, it's usually a decent experience. but even when it's slow and you've ordered online and come in to pick up, there's still a good chance you'll be standing at the counter waiting for your order to get put together. I go there because it's close to my job. their sales are better than they used to be. and I'm glad they finally did away with making people walk out with their order stapled shut in a flashy yellow bag. now you can just put your stuff in your pocket.

As a 412 420, that has been to many dispensaries, I really liked this one. Probably one of the nicest, very clean and brightest store. Parking is very easy with hours of 9-6pm on street. Staff was amazing, product selection and quality was an all time high 😏. Discount of 35% welcomed to new customers, and the website was full of sales.

Robbed me of my money and skimming on product weights. Nothing like buying grams of concentrate and only getting half of what you bought. Clearly, the company knows it’s going on because it happens to any discounted concentrate on their menu. They hope because it’s been discounted You won’t come back complaining or asking for a refund or exchange.. Until they change their business model, and stop working with Kind tree as well, I don’t think I really wanna come back here. I spend almost $100,000 a year on cannabis so I’ll just buy it somewhere else.

The last time I went to Sunnyside in Pittsburgh there was an issue with my marijuana card. Hanna and Dee fixed the problem in less than ten minutes! I have been going to this location for years. When I asked about specials, they provided me with a list of last chance items, at a significantly redused rate,and even cautioned me on the dates of these products ,and recommend using them as quickly as possible, unfortunately the list is not available on line, and you never know what is on it till you get there. The only other negative is your in the Strip district and that can be okay, if you take advantage of the shopping

I bought flower from Terrapin usually and felt it was great for the price, and at some point bought a less-popular vendor's small flower from an unrelated store that I felt was less-than-stellar. I saw small flower at this location at a decent price from Cresco, but was skeptical from my past experience with small flower.I decided to take a gamble with a sativa small flower, and I was immediately impressed with what I saw and smelled! It seemed to last longer in a Atomic9 vaporizer, and the effects were as-advertised.I'm definitely a fan of Cresco now, and this Sunnyside location is also decent with service, kind staff, and speed of service!

This is a great place to get a good education on MMJ. If you are new and never used cannabis before these are very knowledgeable folks who know their stuff. They helped me with finding a strain that would check all the boxes of relief I needed for my circumstance. ALL of the counselors/staff are refreshingly welcoming and go above and beyond to help you with your journey to find the right product. 6 stars 🤩🤩🤩. I am editing this after reading all the reviews that have been put here. I have been using Sunnyside since the original name and I traveled from Pittsburgh to the Butler store before Penn Avenue existed. At least for me and how many years being a patient here I question some of the reviews left. I haven't seen the things people complaining about. Their prices are more than competitive and when they have sales they are crazy good. Some of these comments are not the regular. Go yourself before you buy these comments. I do not work here, have any no affiliation other than being a client nor have an ulterior motive to leaving this comment.

I had such an amazing experience thanks to Megan K. She handled my transaction in such a fun, bubbly way. I loved it. Her energy was awesome. She showed all the terpenes, and was efficient while talking about terpenes and which ones we each preferred. Between the Pittsburgh location with Meagan, and my experience in the Somerset location with kaitlyn. Sunnyside is hands down my favorite dispensaries out of any of the other companies. The security, front desk gentleman, and the young lady who helped me (Megan) was awesome, very welcoming and extremely helpful.Although when checking out your Manager (Shannon) wasn't any of those things I experienced with your other employees...what she said wasn't wrong but as a Manager? She needs to be way better at customer service...I was truly offended by her verbiage and attitude...I'd love to return but she needs more training as I shared with her...SMH...with her I didn't feel welcome...as if she treats black patients rudely and different...very disheartening.

I moved to a new area recently and can’t stand the products I’ve been finding at the dispo near me. They no joke have one or two products for each brand and nothing is ever in stock. There is not enough of a selection for me, so I decided to branch out and go to Sunnyside.The customer service representatives are very personable and friendly. The menu on the website is large, and there are plenty of selections and THC ranges for your preferences. The diversity of the products is what justified the hour drive for me. I am extremely impressed with the products I brought home. Honestly I felt it was 100% worth the drive afterwards and I left with a smile on my face. I look to be back whenever I’m passing through Pittsburgh.

Love this place, have had my medical card for over 3 years now and this was not only the very 1st dispensary I ever went to, but has stayed as the ONLY one I choose to go to. They have changed a lot within the last year, better prices, larger variety of products, and the sales and specials are phenomenal and their prices are THE best in Pittsburgh. I've researched most other dispensaries in Pittsburgh and all have some of the same products but way less variety and their prices are ridiculous and cannot compare to the excellent Sunnyside prices...I can vouch as an experienced medical user that not only have they increased their customer service experience and streamlined the check out process, but a few of the bad apple employees who worked there years ago who were problems in my opinion; they apparently got rid of and replaced them with passionate, caring, compassionate employees and I have a great experience every time I go in now.Today I got to meet Kayla at check out and I am so glad I got to meet her, she is amazing and went above and beyond to explain a few things to me, recommend things, and just be genuinely kind and super pleasant and helpful. She brightened my day and deserves a raise or promotion!!! Thank you Sunnyside for being so reliable to your dedicated and loyal patients such as myself. If you’re a newer user and aren’t exactly sure and have questions I don’t recommend. Product wise is ok but no better than any other place. Just average. Upon leaving I heard the security guard talking negative about a customer who had just left. He made me very uncomfortable and I wouldn’t return just based off of him alone.Also I’m not from the area. I didn’t get the discount I was supposed to get due to a mess up on your guys part. And when I called she offered me a discount for the next time I come back. However I’m not local so it’s not helpful and again it only takes one bad experience to be a not return customer. I needed the discount when I bought and paid for my items. Not after the fact. Tried the stuff pharmacist recommended and it did absolutely nothing! I have a low tolerance and both tincture spray and capsules did absolutely nothing at all. Zero effect.

The place is beautifully designed. It smells like cannabis and Pho, which is perfectly amazing unless I’m really hungry when I go in. Everyone there is gorgeous and upbeat, super helpful. Some are very gregarious which I love and I hope I didn’t come off like a cold jerk to the person who helped me today. I was just not feeling my best. One reason I was there. I was treated very well and was able to save a really nice portion on my meds I use daily for my injury! I really appreciate how I've seen things progress especially customer service , sales and an overall really nice experience! About six months ago I wouldn't of said the same ! Ordering issues , product issues , budtender issues and always parking issues but let's be real parking will always be a problem in this area I grew up and worked some of my adulthood up in this area so parking is always bad no matter what happens! So the manager today that was so kind and helpful to figure out what deals were available for me at that time . So thanks again Sunnyside dispensary and especially the floor manager that went out of her way for me tonight I really appreciate the help and kindness!!

Update 8/10/22: No more parking in the lot down the street. Sunnyside just lost me as a customer. Street parking is a crapshoot and lot parking is $10 if you can get in. There are other dispensaries close by with free parking, It was nice while it lasted.Convenient city location, easy online ordering, free parking is available nearby. Professional, friendly staff. So far I've only visited once, but the 'budtender' charged me more than they should have and then wouldn't review the total with me. Turns out it was off by a lot due to the way they applied the various discounts in my order. I was offered a refund on the overcharged amount -- but only on that day -- so now I've got store credit since it's a bit of a drive to get there for me. I found out the flower I'd picked up was so dry it was breaking apart. But they don't take returns on 'dry' flower so I was stuck with it. (They made me take pictures before telling me this!) Overall a terrible experience and there's better dispensaries with better prices out there. I'd avoid this one.

Most of the staff is very very rude. Not a good welcoming feeling when I shop at this location.Tried this location again after previous bad experience to have one even worse. I called before going to ask if I could bring a small service dog. They guy on the phone said yes. I get to the location and the wellness worker at the front checks me in gives me the recipt and states ," can u not bring your dog next time you come. The manager just poked her head in and said dogs are not welcome". She then stated I could go back hands me the recipe to hand to the teller in the back when the armed security guard orders me off the property screaming you can't have a dog in here. Sunnyside was very very unprofessional and disrespectful. Poorly managed and confused. Sunnyside disregards the importance of service animals and refused me service due to having one.

This is one of the only dispensaries I go to. The people at the counter are friendly and always try to have a nice conversation with you. I placed an order yesterday and by the time I arrived, I was told they were temporarily closed and I would have to come back in an hour. The security guard was so helpful and offered to help me out and take my name down because unfortunately I had to go to work and couldn’t come back in an hour. I also only go on a certain day to get a certain discount, so I was a bit upset. I ended up calling later and I talked to two people yesterday and today who were so sweet and let me come get my order the next day with the discount too. I really appreciate them doing that for me. They didn’t have to, they could’ve told me to come back Friday or Saturday but it definitely made me decide to stick with the sunnyside in the strip from now on. 🙂

They constantly have deals through out the month. 10% off products with Snap if it isn't already on sale. Today was 20% off your order but if you spent $250 it was 25%. I saved about $100. I only have one issue and that’s the parking. It’s not the most ideal location because it’s right in the middle of the strip district, but I guess that’s the price you pay for good service. I only go to this dispensary when I have an emergency and need something on a Sunday.They're open on Sunday, unlike other dispensaries. You can use their online order form any time of day. With the everyone deserves a second chance mind set. I arrived at Sunnyside Medical, I was greeted by a friendly security officer. Then because haven't been in some time. Do to my first visit. I asked Brandon, the person behind the glass. If he needed to see my ID or medical card. No response was given. So I figured the masks and the glass could have something to do with muffling the sound of my voice. I leaned toward the glass to repeat my question. Brandon immediately responded with a vulgar disrespectful tone. I asked for his name and he refused to give it to me. Responding with I didn't need it. While being checked out I ask for a manager. Was lucky enough that Angel, helping me was a manager. I told Angel, what had happened. If it wasn't for Angel this would have been a one star review. Really not sure if I'll be returning ????.

I called before going to ask if I could bring a small service dog. They guy on the phone said yes. I get to the location and the wellness worker at the front checks me in gives me the recipt and states ," can u not bring your dog next time you come. My manager just poked her head in and said dogs are not welcome". She then stated I could go back hands me the recipe to hand to the teller in the back when the armed security guard orders me off the property screaming you can't have a dog in here. This place is awesome! I went for the first time today and I will definitely be back. The staff was amazing and knowledgeable. Kristi (sorry if I spelled that wrong) helped me out so much. Not only did she go over what I had preordered with me but really explained the best usage for those products and helped suggest others for my medical needs. I can tell she loves her job and really cares. The store had closed and she actually waited until I came out from getting my medicine to make sure I knew how to legally get my medicine home, which I greatly appreciated because I am a new patient and no one had explained any of the legalities to me. The guy who helped me check out was awesome as well and gave me great advice for future options. The atmosphere was great and uplifting as well. All in all 10/10 keep it up. ☺️

Bad day at the Pittsburgh location... It was about 5:30 on a Monday after the Super Bowl so maybe folks were thinking of going home. Getting inside was fine and I was taken fairly quickly to the back room. I quickly picked a couple items - then asked about the batteries provided and reiterated that I wanted a draw activated device (not button operated). After a hassle at the ATM (that thing is goofy) I was called up to check out just as I got my $. I then learned that one of the items I had asked for was out of stock, there was a different item I had not ordered in the basket and no battery. They got me a battery, collected my $ and sent me on my way... Now I find out that the battery is button driven! Third Strike, Your Out!

So they confirmed my order via text and when I got there they only had half of it/ 1 of 2 items. The guy had no idea why but all he had for me was 1 of the 2 things ordered. It's hit and miss with this place. there are a few employees there that are actually a pleasure to converse with. I dont know her name, but the younger black lady who works there always makes me smile. if you go during the slow times, it's usually a decent experience. but even when it's slow and you've ordered online and come in to pick up, there's still a good chance you'll be standing at the counter waiting for your order to get put together. I go there because it's close to my job. their sales are better than they used to be. and I'm glad they finally did away with making people walk out with their order stapled shut in a flashy yellow bag. now you can just put your stuff in your pocket.

Robbed me of my money and skimming on product weights. Nothing like buying grams of concentrate and only getting half of what you bought. Clearly, the company knows it’s going on because it happens to any discounted concentrate on their menu. They hope because it’s been discounted You won’t come back complaining or asking for a refund or exchange.. I saw small flower at this location at a decent price from Cresco, but was skeptical from my past experience with small flower.I decided to take a gamble with a sativa small flower, and I was immediately impressed with what I saw and smelled! I moved to a new area recently and can’t stand the products I’ve been finding at the dispo near me. They no joke have one or two products for each brand and nothing is ever in stock. There is not enough of a selection for me, so I decided to branch out and go to Sunnyside.The customer service representatives are very personable and friendly. The menu on the website is large, and there are plenty of selections and THC ranges for your preferences. The diversity of the products is what justified the hour drive for me. I am extremely impressed with the products I brought home. Honestly I felt it was 100% worth the drive afterwards and I left with a smile on my face. I look to be back whenever I’m passing through Pittsburgh.

They have changed a lot within the last year, better prices, larger variety of products, and the sales and specials are phenomenal and their prices are THE best in Pittsburgh. I've researched most other dispensaries in Pittsburgh and all have some of the same products but way less variety and their prices are ridiculous and cannot compare to the excellent Sunnyside prices...I can vouch as an experienced medical user that not only have they increased their customer service experience and streamlined the check out process, but a few of the bad apple employees who worked there years ago who were problems in my opinion; they apparently got rid of and replaced them with passionate, caring, compassionate employees and I have a great experience every time I go in now.Today I got to meet Kayla at check out and I am so glad I got to meet her, she is amazing and went above and beyond to explain a few things to me, recommend things, and just be genuinely kind and super pleasant and helpful. So far I've only visited once, but the 'budtender' charged me more than they should have and then wouldn't review the total with me. Turns out it was off by a lot due to the way they applied the various discounts in my order. I was offered a refund on the overcharged amount -- but only on that day -- so now I've got store credit since it's a bit of a drive to get there for me. I found out the flower I'd picked up was so dry it was breaking apart. But they don't take returns on 'dry' flower so I was stuck with it. (They made me take pictures before telling me this!) Overall a terrible experience and there's better dispensaries with better prices out there. I'd avoid this one.

I called before going to ask if I could bring a small service dog. They guy on the phone said yes. I get to the location and the wellness worker at the front checks me in gives me the recipt and states ," can u not bring your dog next time you come. The manager just poked her head in and said dogs are not welcome". She then stated I could go back hands me the recipe to hand to the teller in the back when the armed security guard orders me off the property screaming you can't have a dog in here. This is one of the only dispensaries I go to. The people at the counter are friendly and always try to have a nice conversation with you. I placed an order yesterday and by the time I arrived, I was told they were temporarily closed and I would have to come back in an hour. The security guard was so helpful and offered to help me out and take my name down because unfortunately I had to go to work and couldn’t come back in an hour. I also only go on a certain day to get a certain discount, so I was a bit upset. I ended up calling later and I talked to two people yesterday and today who were so sweet and let me come get my order the next day with the discount too. I really appreciate them doing that for me. They didn’t have to, they could’ve told me to come back Friday or Saturday but it definitely made me decide to stick with the sunnyside in the strip from now on. 🙂

I asked Brandon, the person behind the glass. If he needed to see my ID or medical card. No response was given. Decent selection and sales... they have gotten it together over the years but they are the only dispensary that has a “no phone on the sales floor” policy. They take it way too seriously and spend half their time asking people to put away their phones. Makes people so uncomfortable.

Sunnyside's system is quite different than another dispensary that I usually go to. It is my 2nd choice. I do not like that it is mandatory to order online ahead of time. I would like the option of coming in and viewing a menu and speaking with a wellness expert about my selection. Sunnyside does have a good selection of products. The staff who brings out your order and rings you up are very nice. However, the people at the front as you enter are so rude. I don't like dealing with them at all. They need some serious work on their people skills.

Visited this dispensary for the first time today and I was very pleased! It was by far my best “first dispensary” experience. The bud tender who helped me was a younger girl with brown hair, she was so sweet and helpful. She really made me feel comfortable! I will definitely be back once I move to Pittsburgh!!!

This place is horrible. There is hardly any available parking. You have to drive around in circles just to find a spot. Then you have to wait and wait, then wait a little longer. All of this depends on if they even have products. Seriously, half the time they don't even have flowers. Doesn't make sense. Horrible company.

This is the best dispensary in PA period. They have the largest product selection, cheap prices, great sales all the time. The only people giving in one stars are the patients who didn't free product and expect to when they, like everyone else have to wait in a short line during a Pandemic. There is probably going to be a brief wait-time because they are serving so many patients and taking the max precautions to protect everyone and clean in between groups of patients. They always help me at the register if you ask polite to change up your order they will do it will ease. Friendly staff, highly knowledgeable for all levels of cannabis user.

How a place FULL of workers can operate at such a snails pace is beyond me. Only accepting online orders and yet have lines outside around the block. I understand theres a limit of people allowed in due to covid-19 but taking over an hour to get through a 12 person line with ONLY pick up orders is beyond ridiculous.

If I could of put negative stars I would. They act like it’s rocket science. Who ever owns this store is easy losing 20 to 30 percent business. Rude all knowing staff has a line of 25 people outside. Like it takes that long to put medicine in a bag. Their whole system needs overhauled. Healing center is a thousand times better.

I went to the healing center , they had a line as well as expected, however they took my order in store. CY was never my favorite but was convenient as far as location. After today I will not return.

Bad day at the Pittsburgh location... It was about 5:30 on a Monday after the Super Bowl so maybe folks were thinking of going home. Getting inside was fine and I was taken fairly quickly to the back room. I quickly picked a couple items - then asked about the batteries provided and reiterated that I wanted a draw activated device (not button operated). After a hassle at the ATM (that thing is goofy) I was called up to check out just as I got my $. I then learned that one of the items I had asked for was out of stock, there was a different item I had not ordered in the basket and no battery. They got me a battery, collected my $ and sent me on my way... Now I find out that the battery is button driven! Third Strike, Your Out!

I strongly dislike this place. I've recently learned that they secretly maintain multiple menus and keep the sought after products to limited customers/friends. Someone else on here just said that as well, which prompted me to also write a review, so it must be a pattern.Its weird, I never have a problem anywhere else. But every time I'm here it's an unpleasant experience and the people do not seem friendly. Lots of bizarre business choices being made here, maybe the reason Cresco stock is doing so poorly?

All seem short with answers and not enthused on being there)The fact that we can't add to our orders upon checking out in store is an inconvenience to us. We sometimes wait to ask a questions once we get in which will open the opportunity to us to add more to our orders. This would be nice because we never get call backs from the voicemails we leave. Cant add to our orders though... The one thing I will say though is they do cycle the people in and out. The system is streamlined and works. I have never spent more than 20 minutes here. Kudos for that.The selection has been pretty impressive. Its best to stop in and see what the got. Sometimes they can't keep up with online menu with what is being delivered there. It was a surprise to see way more there in person vs what was visible online.

All the staff I have ever encountered were very professional. They don’t always have a great selection but they’re open on Sundays which is a huge +. They do have a small lot that you can park in for free but spots are limited. I never have any trouble finding a spot on the street. It would be nice if they had some sort of rewards program. Especially since they do have some of the “higher” prices than other dispensaries around.

So they confirmed my order via text and when I got there they only had half of it/ 1 of 2 items. The guy had no idea why but all he had for me was 1 of the 2 things ordered. I did not get a text saying they were out of the other thing so I went expecting to get what I ordered. Instead I got 80$ of product instead of 170$. I wouldn’t have wasted my time and gas had they told me they ran out and I placed the order the previous night while it was still in stock. Wasted time... will not return. New ken is a much better staff/location better service and no screw overs like this.
