The only dispensary I will ever go to! The staff here is the most friendly, and caring group of people I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I’ve never been rushed, or left with any questions concerning my medication. The past few visits, they haven’t had what I always get. At first I was really anxious about it. But Carlotta took the time and energy to help me find the next best fit! She took me through all of my options, and told me what she thought I would benefit from the most. She even brought over a few coworkers to collab on ideas for me! I couldn’t reccomend this place enough, these people truly care. I love the botanist on Seneca in Buffalo ,NY. Chance and Dan and Dan and all the staff are extremely friendly and wonderfully helpful!! They always treat me with dignity and respect and always answer any question I may have. I also like the quality and strength of their products. I have never had an issue. Prices are reasonable considering. Although I wish the healthcare insurance companies would start covering the product as a medication but they don’t!! Bummer! The services here are great. I’ve even asked security to walk to my car once and he gladly did!! Great business, very professional!

It is a game changer and it has changed her Life dramatically;) she hasn’t been in pain and hasn’t had seizures type activities since we started. And she has been able to sleep. So I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this come true for a 10-year-old child. (As my daughter words Mommy I feel normal.) it brings tears to my eyes that my daughter isn’t in pain anymore and is able to sleep. Wow, everyone at The Botanist is so kind, helpful, and patient. It was my first time ever going tothe dispensary. I was so nervous because I had no idea how anything worked.That feeling went away when I walked in the door.The patient specialist Tomas made me calm and comfortable. He is a very intelligent man, he answered all my questions and even suggested things that would help my pain.There's also a pharmacist there.I had Daniel, he walked around the entire dispensary with me. So kind, patient and very smart. I explained what was wrong and he knew exactly what to do for me. He suggested what I should use and how it works.The Botanist is very clean, and they have everything for you to see in glass displays. I want to personally thank Tomas and Daniel. About a month ago I placed an online order. Got the text that said it was ready for pickup. Arrived at this store about 10 minutes later, around noon on a saturday, during business hours. I knocked. 1 dude came outside and said "we're closed". I said I placed a pickup order online and got a confirmation text. He just repeated "we're closed". The freaking best food I've ever had.We have been to Alo, Alinea, Masayoshi, Acorn, Enigma, etc a lot of star and recommended restaurants and Botanist was one of y favorites.They will for sure get a star, and if not I can't understand why.The food flavors just sing on your palette, the menu is interesting and pushes new flavors and I loved that it wasn't just visually stunning it tasted even better!I loved they didn't stuff us with a million courses and instead did 4-5 very well.The gazpacho is SO. GOOD. best thing I've ever put in my mouth. The buttermilk sauce with halibut is TO DIE FOR. and even the pre dessert of mushroom meringue was so sexy and delish!I honestly don't think I'll have anything as delish as that gazpacho in my life.They gave us 3 desserts. Usually desserts are always kind of meh a lot of places, (and I love dessert, having been to pastry school, many places just make it as an after thought or is overly sweet).We originally were like oh my gosh how will we finish this...when we tasted it it was like we couldn't stop, we just found room b/c it was so good!The vegan panna cotta was fantastic, the chocolate and caramel so smooth, different favors and textures, and the mezcal cake also tasty and unique! All were so balanced and at no point did we feel too sugared out.My partner had the drinks, he said they were very flavorful and delicious. I had a mocktail and it was very well balanced and tasty! For me the food was the much more the highlight over the bar and am surprised the food doesn't get just as much recognition as the bar!Every dish was so well balanced, grounded, interesting, unique. Where the fine dining scene is so saturated, they stand out with bold unique new flavors.The environment was gorgeous in the Fairmont, which can start to feel a little bit too uppity, but was pleasantly grounded and we were made to feel comfortable by our amazing servers. Everyone was knowledgeable, polite, and personable. Our server was from Belgium (? sorry) and so charismatic (give him a raise)!They accommodated me as being pregnant and pescatarian in a tasting menu. Whereas many other places like Alo were quite stiff and unmoving in this regard. They were very accommodating overall and I was so appreciative for that. I could see even their staff in the kitchen were all friendly and getting along with each other and at least seemed to be having a great time and good energy!My only complaint is, we live in Toronto and we are so sad you don't have a location here, please open in Toronto too!

They had some trouble during a transition period however everything is back up and running great! They have a much wider selection of types of tinctures and capsules. They come in sativa, hybrid, and Indica and lists the strain. Great prices good discounts and loyalty program. Also the RSO products are all vegan certified!

I love everything about this place, especially the staff. The prices are a little higher, so I am always looking to shop sales. The last sale (the week of 4/20) they offered 2 syringes of concentrate for the price of one for one day only. I have found a way to make my own edibles from concentrate at a dosage that assists with my pain. When i came in on that day, I was excited to be able to get the medicine I need at half price, only to find they had none. They had syringes, but only in sativa. Sativa does not help my pain. They started the day with no indica syringes. This is a topic that makes my blood boil but this is not the only dispensary that does this. Inevitably, when i shop sales (as I often do to simply be able to afford NYS cannabis prices) MANY ITEMS ARE SIMPLY NOT AVAILABLE. It makes sense that if they based their sales on inventory instead of a method that seems like a 5 year old picking sales ideas out of a hat regardless of what is or isn't in the inventory. I am upset and angry as I spent over an hour in traffic for this. No rain checks. No substitutions. I'm still upset about this and it's May. I have a surgery coming up and really could have used the indica cartridges in healing. Now I have zero. These types of issues drive me to other resources. I hope these sales issues are read by corporate and considered carefully instead of throwing stuff on sale all willy nilly.

My only issue with the place is I used a discount My first time that was a discount special they had. On your first visit you're offered a first time discount which I didn't use because I was already receiving 30% off what I was buying for that days special. The guy who served me was awesome and he put in my notes that I didn't use my first time discount so that I would be able to use it my next visit. I came in maybe a day or 2 later at most and as I was cashing out I waited for him to see their notes, without me mentioning it, and apply my discount. This didn't happen, I had to mention it and he just says "yeah I see that in the notes here" he saw it and wasnt going to apply it unless I mentioned it cause why discount someone fairly and honestly unless they mention it right? Any who, he had to get approval to apply this discount. The woman in charge who is authorized to apply discounts took a few minutes to come back with an answer and her answer, kid you not was "we have a 2nd visit discount that is for 20% off and to be honest it's the better of the 2 (1st time visit and the $5 discount already on the item) and instead of $5 off you'll recieve $10 off". Unfortunately she thought the guy I spoke to on my first visit didn't already tell me the 1st time discount is for 25% off so she blatantly lied to my face telling me this one's better when everyone knows 25% is better than 20% but she banked on the fact that I didn't know what the first time discount amounted too. Sorry, but I did and you lied to a customer which makes me not want to come back. On top of that now I have no 2nd time discount because I was running late for work due to them taking 15 mins to sell me an 8th at the discount I was told I could use the first time on my next time and I had no choice but to not argue it and go along with her lies in order to make it to work on time. All the other staff was friendly and helpful but that woman lied to my face, cost me more money and time and messed with my job because a simple in and out purchase became over 15 mins. I have been going to veriflife after this last experience. They apply my discounts honestly.

I got 4 disposable vapes instead of four .5 cartridges! I didn't say anything because I was trying to get a job.Website has listing problems which I pointed out. Six weeks later, I admitted I was disabled to corporate and they said NO. I know more about CBD, CBG, CBN, Sativa vs Indica, ten years growing experience!They don't hire disabled people. Unfortunately I don't know how much longer I can come here. I've been coming since they opened but with the new overhaul I'm not sure if this is still the place for me. I've gone to other dispensaries and it's very cold and unpersonable. Their attention to every single detail in this confusing and ever changing medical marijuana program is absolutely unparalleled! The customer service is out of this world! You can call and speak with someone to help place an order, delivery, or even speak to a pharmacist about your prescription and what dosages are correct for you. Five stars Plus! I refer everyone there! And I've never heard a complaint. And they even have a great loyalty/rewards program that can't be! A punch card when you spend over $110 times you get $100 off $200 and also $1 equals one point. A thousand points is $50 off $100 in botanist products or you can even use them on non botanist products 50 off 150. They really got this figured out! Stopping or give them a call you won't regret it!

This gets a 2 star rating because they are price gougers. They charge insane amounts for their products, and there’s no need to be greedy like that. The Botanist offers high quality distillate tinctures and edibles (but get you excited about the flavors to find out they are sold out 1 hr after you call to make sure and travel there) but their flower is below par and crushed up and dry, horrible taste. If they charge a fair price they will see more customers and higher return customers. I’m not going there ever again.

This is an UPDATED review.....I had a terrible initial experience at this location. I found myself there due to convenience and location, the experience was TOTALLY DIFFERENT. The people were much more helpful and patient. It was near closing time and they allowed customers in and helped them. The time the staff member took to explain the products, my options, and how to change my prescription was refreshing. I wasn't rushed or pushed but given information so that I could make the best informed decision.

This place is wonderful. The people are kind, informative, and the place has a very natural feel, as opposed to others in the area, that have more of an apple vibe. To be honest, I haven't used them much as I don't often go downtown. Their selection has grown a great deal since they first opened with humble offerings.I recently had surgery and can't drive yet, so I was happy to learn that they now offer delivery as well as a product type I've tried at the other dispensaries with mixed results. The gentleman I spoke with was so friendly, interested in my feedback, and due to my circumstance was kind enough to offer delivery personally the same day. That to me is above and beyond. That really took me by surprise, and I have so much gratitude for this kindness.So, in short, support these folks. I've never had to wait long, I've had near zero problems as compared to the competition, and they are just good people helping patients. Highest praise to these folks.

Update 10/01/21: Terrible, literally one, selection of green 1:1 vapes. Go to MedMen for a 1:1 vape selection.Very secure location with a very spa like feel to it. Everyone is very warm and welcoming. When I had to speak with the pharmacist about options there was a little hiccup that was solved in minutes. I personally go to DENT neurological and their recommendations are expected to be followed very specifically. I wanted to try the tincture option because it was more cost effective. When my script was looked up and it specified I had to use the capsules or vape the pharmacist was on the phone with DENT and got the tincture option cleared in minutes. Great service, a welcoming and comfortable environment that you can feel safe in. Highly recommend.

The only clerk and cash register were taking care of the same customer for 20 minutes(or longer)while I and other customers walked out.Tried the Botanist again Same story, the one drawer that was open was taking care of a customer that needed a lot of instruction. Instead of handing customer off to someone that wasn't occupied, the clerk monopolized the only open drawer and the line got longer and longer and longer. This happens more often than not. I wish I could leave no star at all. They don’t even deserve 1 star. I travel 60 miles one way to pick up for my wife who is going through chemotherapy. This is the last time I will ever return. I always have some kind of issue with this place. The staff is awful here the man behind the glass don’t know what year it is. He had a 5 minute argument with me over my issue date on the card telling me it’s expired & over a year ago at that. The card was just issued in October of 20. Look for another place cuz this place is a joke. Apparently they don't have the staff to help new patients after 5 ( sign on the door not on their site). I drove 40 mintues to stand on the sidewalk in a line only to be told it was after 5(it was just after) and I would need to come back. There was only 1 person in line at that point so I'm sure they were too lazy not too busy. They line you up on Seneca St so everyone knows you're getting your prescription filled.

Been there about 3-4 times already,I mean during this recent CV-19 event it’s a fair statement that interaction to look inside is limited.The people seem pretty calm and respectful within my age group,however from the economic perspective someone like myself who uses medication on a daily basis due to my condition tolerance is high and So are the prices with never any kind of sale other than the initial “First Time” buyer discount.you will be dealing with patients such as yours truly,who come out of pocket unfortunately who Come back to purchase 2 Cartridges at a time spending almost $600 monthly meanwhile the Industry out west charges anywhere between $15-30 in your average 500MG half gram cartridge meanwhile over here Companies are trying to triple their Profit Margins,Its hard times as it is when will we all see sale discounts when purchasing 2 or more?also I tried their Own product The “Boost” the effects are okay for a Sativa but when I checked the amount of oil within the Cartridge it seemed so much less than a half gram cartridge for $70 I think that should be repriced the least,not sure if it was because the cartridge was a little wider with those bigger holes for the wick to absorb more vapor but I definitely prefer the Pharmacann style stainless steel cartridge.Nothing bad against them just definitely a change of prices need to happen ASAP all across NYS dispensaries.

Where the fine dining scene is so saturated, they stand out with bold unique new flavors.The environment was gorgeous in the Fairmont, which can start to feel a little bit too uppity, but was pleasantly grounded and we were made to feel comfortable by our amazing servers. Our server was from Belgium (? sorry) and so charismatic (give him a raise)!They accommodated me as being pregnant and pescatarian in a tasting menu. Whereas many other places like Alo were quite stiff and unmoving in this regard. They were very accommodating overall and I was so appreciative for that. They come in sativa, hybrid, and Indica and lists the strain. Great prices good discounts and loyalty program. Also the RSO products are all vegan certified!

I love everything about this place, especially the staff. The prices are a little higher, so I am always looking to shop sales. The last sale (the week of 4/20) they offered 2 syringes of concentrate for the price of one for one day only. I have found a way to make my own edibles from concentrate at a dosage that assists with my pain. When i came in on that day, I was excited to be able to get the medicine I need at half price, only to find they had none. They had syringes, but only in sativa. Sativa does not help my pain. They started the day with no indica syringes. This is a topic that makes my blood boil but this is not the only dispensary that does this. Inevitably, when i shop sales (as I often do to simply be able to afford NYS cannabis prices) MANY ITEMS ARE SIMPLY NOT AVAILABLE. It makes sense that if they based their sales on inventory instead of a method that seems like a 5 year old picking sales ideas out of a hat regardless of what is or isn't in the inventory. I am upset and angry as I spent over an hour in traffic for this. No rain checks. No substitutions. I'm still upset about this and it's May. I have a surgery coming up and really could have used the indica cartridges in healing. Now I have zero. These types of issues drive me to other resources. I hope these sales issues are read by corporate and considered carefully instead of throwing stuff on sale all willy nilly.

My only issue with the place is I used a discount My first time that was a discount special they had. On your first visit you're offered a first time discount which I didn't use because I was already receiving 30% off what I was buying for that days special. The guy who served me was awesome and he put in my notes that I didn't use my first time discount so that I would be able to use it my next visit. I came in maybe a day or 2 later at most and as I was cashing out I waited for him to see their notes, without me mentioning it, and apply my discount. This didn't happen, I had to mention it and he just says "yeah I see that in the notes here" he saw it and wasnt going to apply it unless I mentioned it cause why discount someone fairly and honestly unless they mention it right? Any who, he had to get approval to apply this discount. The woman in charge who is authorized to apply discounts took a few minutes to come back with an answer and her answer, kid you not was "we have a 2nd visit discount that is for 20% off and to be honest it's the better of the 2 (1st time visit and the $5 discount already on the item) and instead of $5 off you'll recieve $10 off". Unfortunately she thought the guy I spoke to on my first visit didn't already tell me the 1st time discount is for 25% off so she blatantly lied to my face telling me this one's better when everyone knows 25% is better than 20% but she banked on the fact that I didn't know what the first time discount amounted too. Sorry, but I did and you lied to a customer which makes me not want to come back. On top of that now I have no 2nd time discount because I was running late for work due to them taking 15 mins to sell me an 8th at the discount I was told I could use the first time on my next time and I had no choice but to not argue it and go along with her lies in order to make it to work on time. All the other staff was friendly and helpful but that woman lied to my face, cost me more money and time and messed with my job because a simple in and out purchase became over 15 mins. A punch card when you spend over $110 times you get $100 off $200 and also $1 equals one point. A thousand points is $50 off $100 in botanist products or you can even use them on non botanist products 50 off 150. They really got this figured out! This gets a 2 star rating because they are price gougers. They charge insane amounts for their products, and there’s no need to be greedy like that. The Botanist offers high quality distillate tinctures and edibles (but get you excited about the flavors to find out they are sold out 1 hr after you call to make sure and travel there) but their flower is below par and crushed up and dry, horrible taste. If they charge a fair price they will see more customers and higher return customers. I’m not going there ever again.

This is an UPDATED review.....I had a terrible initial experience at this location. I found myself there due to convenience and location, the experience was TOTALLY DIFFERENT. The people were much more helpful and patient. It was near closing time and they allowed customers in and helped them. The time the staff member took to explain the products, my options, and how to change my prescription was refreshing. I wasn't rushed or pushed but given information so that I could make the best informed decision.

This place is wonderful. The people are kind, informative, and the place has a very natural feel, as opposed to others in the area, that have more of an apple vibe. To be honest, I haven't used them much as I don't often go downtown. Their selection has grown a great deal since they first opened with humble offerings.I recently had surgery and can't drive yet, so I was happy to learn that they now offer delivery as well as a product type I've tried at the other dispensaries with mixed results. The gentleman I spoke with was so friendly, interested in my feedback, and due to my circumstance was kind enough to offer delivery personally the same day. That to me is above and beyond. That really took me by surprise, and I have so much gratitude for this kindness.So, in short, support these folks. I've never had to wait long, I've had near zero problems as compared to the competition, and they are just good people helping patients. Highest praise to these folks.

Update 10/01/21: Terrible, literally one, selection of green 1:1 vapes. Go to MedMen for a 1:1 vape selection.Very secure location with a very spa like feel to it. Everyone is very warm and welcoming. When I had to speak with the pharmacist about options there was a little hiccup that was solved in minutes. I personally go to DENT neurological and their recommendations are expected to be followed very specifically. I wanted to try the tincture option because it was more cost effective. When my script was looked up and it specified I had to use the capsules or vape the pharmacist was on the phone with DENT and got the tincture option cleared in minutes. Great service, a welcoming and comfortable environment that you can feel safe in. Highly recommend.

The only clerk and cash register were taking care of the same customer for 20 minutes(or longer)while I and other customers walked out.Tried the Botanist again Same story, the one drawer that was open was taking care of a customer that needed a lot of instruction. Instead of handing customer off to someone that wasn't occupied, the clerk monopolized the only open drawer and the line got longer and longer and longer. This happens more often than not. My very first time in, they were offering discounts for people who donated warm clothes and stuff to charity, and that's a small thing, but it's the kind of thing I like. I wish I could leave no star at all. They don’t even deserve 1 star. I travel 60 miles one way to pick up for my wife who is going through chemotherapy. This is the last time I will ever return. I always have some kind of issue with this place. The staff is awful here the man behind the glass don’t know what year it is. He had a 5 minute argument with me over my issue date on the card telling me it’s expired & over a year ago at that. The card was just issued in October of 20. I asked him what year he thinks we are in? Hello the dam card is 3 months old. Unbelievable is all I can say. Thank god I found another place to go to. Maybe they will be a little more appreciative of the 1000 a month I spend on medication. I hate to leave reviews like this because the owner is a nice guy. But being self employed I also understand you’re only as good as your staff.

Look for another place cuz this place is a joke. Apparently they don't have the staff to help new patients after 5 ( sign on the door not on their site). I drove 40 mintues to stand on the sidewalk in a line only to be told it was after 5(it was just after) and I would need to come back. There was only 1 person in line at that point so I'm sure they were too lazy not too busy. They line you up on Seneca St so everyone knows you're getting your prescription filled.

Been there about 3-4 times already,I mean during this recent CV-19 event it’s a fair statement that interaction to look inside is limited.The people seem pretty calm and respectful within my age group,however from the economic perspective someone like myself who uses medication on a daily basis due to my condition tolerance is high and So are the prices with never any kind of sale other than the initial “First Time” buyer discount.you will be dealing with patients such as yours truly,who come out of pocket unfortunately who Come back to purchase 2 Cartridges at a time spending almost $600 monthly meanwhile the Industry out west charges anywhere between $15-30 in your average 500MG half gram cartridge meanwhile over here Companies are trying to triple their Profit Margins,Its hard times as it is when will we all see sale discounts when purchasing 2 or more?also I tried their Own product The “Boost” the effects are okay for a Sativa but when I checked the amount of oil within the Cartridge it seemed so much less than a half gram cartridge for $70 I think that should be repriced the least,not sure if it was because the cartridge was a little wider with those bigger holes for the wick to absorb more vapor but I definitely prefer the Pharmacann style stainless steel cartridge.Nothing bad against them just definitely a change of prices need to happen ASAP all across NYS dispensaries.
