Of all the dispensaries I have visited, AYR is my favorite go-to. I will drive the 25 minutes to pick up my flowers. The vibe in this place is awesome. The staff is always friendly and energetic and exemplifies how other dispensaries and their staff should treat their patients/guests.They are family friendly, and they always have the best prices and awesome daily sales.
Service is always 10/10, this time Dametrio took care of me at the counter and it was such a great experience! He gets bonus stars for helping me figure out my points AND he understood my tired-from-work gibberish! Love this place, everyone always has a smile and greets me like they know me. Wonderful service, quality products 🙂
It’s improving for sure. It has gotten better but still has a lack of variety of products. I would like to see more hash rosin and live rosin products. More solventless cartridges from different brands. Because you guys are closer to me than any other place and I constantly find myself driving to Elizabeth for hash rosin and love rosin carts. Haze and mud brothers are horrible. How can you only have to brands of hash. ??? Big feeling they are 2 house brands but who knows.

They have improved greatly since the last time I was here and it was branded “GSD”.Great attentive social staff. Lots of great deals sent to my inbox. ATM on sight.Safe and secure parking on sight. Curbside available for MEDICAL patients.I feel pretty good about the military discounts so I will recommend vets come by and take a look at the MEDICAL side if they have access.Overall great experience and I am content with the purchases.
Some people are just made for certain jobs. He was very helpful and acknowledgeable of the products and deals going on. And very polite. Always have a good experience when I go there and they always have the best deals. I been to a bunch of dispensaries but they do t match in prices like Ayr.

They were both very patient with me while trying to figure out what I should do. Even showing me the new Marley (yep…that’s Mr. Bob Marley) grinders which by they way feel and look amazing and considering purchasing one! Also, have to give a HUGE shout out to Eli for helping me a ton as well the last couple of times I stopped in. There was one more staff member (sorry I don’t know your name😩) that was very knowledgeable and he put me on some good info so BIG UP to him too! I was helped today by Tina who had just the greatest smile and customer service finding me just what I need. And out of no where in comes Christy (super attentive) who made me aware of deals after signing up for loyalty program I never even used. I went there tonight and it was my first time and I communicated that to all the employees that spoke to me. I was very excited about trying something from them. My experience unfortunately was not the best, I was taken care by a girl that she was right in front of line 1 wearing yellow, if I’m not mistaken. I told her that it was my first time and she didn’t even say welcome. I kept asking questions because I’m a new customer want to know about the product and the place, I felt she wasn’t really in the mood to talk and she was giving very short answers with a not warm tone of voice. I felt I was bothering her and never felt so unwelcomed before. I don’t know if I feel comfortable coming back after tonight. I’m afraid that I will receive the same type of treatment that I received tonight.
Anastasia was my bud tender and she did amazing. Being my first time there, I wasn’t sure of all the products they had there and she was knowledgeable and even help me take advantage of their 1$ edible promotion and make an account! I’ll definitely be returning soon.

When it first opened it was great. Now the staff could care less, no sales, limited products and God forbid you ask a question. Prices have also increased while others have decreased. Last few times I was there customer service was so Rude! Will go elsewhere....

Visited this location for the first time today. Was incredibly pleased. All the staff seemed very friendly (and knowledgable). I had the absolute pleasure of being helped out by Rox. They were very knowledgable about the products, tried to get me the best deal for my money, and left me a very satisfied customer. They did not mind putting products back or searching for more & put me on to some of their favorites. Will definitely be returning.
Marc was very helpful . The shop is nice I would recommend looking online before you get to the shop therfore you know what want already .You must have a valid ID to get in otherwise you won't be allowed to view products . I just purchased 2 vape pens 2 for 60$ . Also bring cash because there is a 3.50 fee for debit card purchases. Nice shop with laid back nice people . Would recommend.
I’ve been a customer at this location for a good time now. I have been very pleased with the people that work there. All of them are extremely helpful. I recently had Ron and Marc help me out. They took the time to answer all my questions. They always went out of their day to tell me all the new products that came.

I’m a Cannabis influencer for NJ.. I’ve visited a lot of different dispensaries but NOTHING LIKE AYR… when I say also I AM A MEDICAL PATIENT and they not only do they take patience and care of us, they care for Rec as well! The staff from the front desk, to checkin in ID’s. I’ve also worked at a dispensaries in other states. AYR customer service is amazing Nicole the manager is phenomenal she validated me on something that was their mistake & corrected it and was so nice to me. I’ve gone places where dispensaries make mistakes and blame the customers. Also ‼️ Soyini was so nice at understanding my situation and also letting me know that something will be resolved. I LOVE AYR DISPENSARY SO MUCH ‼️‼️ also their flower is top notch from a woman that’s in the industry of Cannabis I love me a good fresh batch of flower 💕

CAT is the best bud tender ever. Went in having a yucky day and she recommended a perfect strain - she’s also super positive and well knowledgeable! Haven’t had a bad experience here yet - but Cat definitely made me come back again to ask her opinion!!!
The second I walked in the presence and the people are just the most humble welcoming people and they’re just scanning your license! - I was helped by Chelsea and what a great sales person, she helped me out with an issue I been having and what strands to gear towards. Haven’t been to the newly owned yet, but as of garden state, definitely do not trust. THC levels were nowhere near what it said 81 percent was maybe 20 percent. I am a medical patient and ran out of my medical cartridges,almost had a seizure !!!!! EVERYONE TRY Curaleaf in QUEENS They have deals daily and weekly on accommodate you completely……!!!!!! You won’t be mad taking the short Ride saving money and have an array of products …this was $120 got it for 72……
I have been a client here for 3-4 years. The old management was wonderful, but this new ownership and team of employees are awful. I placed an order in the morning so that I can pick it up after work. I got a text from GSD at 10:51am saying my order was ready for pickup. When I got off work I headed to GSD and got there around 6pm. Do the math; that’s 8 hours my order should have been ready and waiting for me. I sit in my car for 20-30 minutes, at which point, for hahas, I asked the security guard how long he thinks I have been sitting here for. He candidly replied with, verbatim, “I dont know, I’m not paying attention.” Correct me if I’m wrong, but the whole point of being a security guard is to pay attention. Personally, I wouldn’t pu someone to protect my building that doesn’t pay attention to simple surroundings, like a car in front of their face. My order didn’t get prepared until I arrived, despite a, “be right out,” message from GSD. If that is the case, what is the purpose behind curbside pickup and being notified of an order being ready when it’s not? Then the employee who brought me my order was apathetic and tweaking as if he were on some substance. Thank goodness NJ is expanding their dispensary options
If you’re rec the bud is decent and the wait is not bad, but they don’t care about the medical patients. There is always a wait. They always have excuses for why but if you're medical just take the extra 10 minute ride to breakwater in Roselle park. They treat their medical patients right and their stuff is unmatched.
This place used to be great. But something happened in the last few months where the quality of staff and experience took a nosedive. Every time I go recently, there is a “new rule” that inhibits me from completing a medical purchase… a rule that isn’t a problem or is handled professionally at Zen Leaf in Elizabeth. Save yourself a headache and just go to Zen Leaf. Awesome staff over there.

So I’ve been buying from here for almost a year until they got bought out and now they rebranded this store and there is new owners. They ruined this once jersey company. I placed an order, and received a text saying my order has been confirmed and is being prepared. So naturally I started driving.After 20 minutes, I received another text that my order was canceled and to please call them.So I have called 11 times and no one answers the phone.

I love the staff here. Top notch. However, Garden State has their strains overpriced. I bought Frosted Melon Gelato for $65 and a friend showed me another NJ dispensary selling it for $50. They offer a rewards program that gives you a “discount” but in reality your not saving any money. I suggest you check other dispensaries before coming here. If Garden State was more competitive with pricing they would be 5 stars.
Now medical patients have to compete with recreational users. That's great. No loyalty to the customers who kept the company going all these years. Going down hill fast. Variety and inventory has gone down or is gone. I'm changing my 5 star to 1. It's not worth driving to Union anymore. I'm looking for a new Dispensary!!! I hear good things about Breakwater. Poor selection of products! They let select products sell out and aren’t available again for days or weeks. If you’re only serving medical patients, why can’t they maintain a decent inventory of in-demand medication? I’m looking for a new dispensary.

This is by far thee worst dispensary in all of north Jersey, I live in Newark so it’s not around the corner, however some bald offduty security guard that was at the door decided that I couldn’t come in because I didn’t have an appointment, which was odd to me because I always walk in.I was denied my medication because someone’s ego basically, either that or he’s straight racist, either way never went back.The traffic to get there, the driving on 22 is insane in it self , all to get denied when I finally get there smh ….be warned

I selected this location as my ATC and now I am sorry that I did - this seems to be an online operation only, trying to speak to an actual human being is impossible. Before you can do anything, you need to provide a great deal of personal information over an unsecure website - that is the first red flag. The information on their website is contradictory - I sure hope that the recent legislation allowing for more centers to open will bring some competition to the market because right now, the patient has very limited selection and therefore must deal with less than satisfactory service.

I had to edit my review from 3 months ago. Living in Passaic co, its a little bit of a drive to Union. So when I see the ICC or GMO on the menu for 1 day only which are my favorites from them. Its nothing short of disappointing. I'm leaving 1 star here because the pickup days, selection,and pricing has never changed since the beginning of opening and since covid. IMO this isn't how things should be. If you know you have a favorite strain that people will literally drive 45 minutes for. Why not have it on the menu regularly or more often?Update- I'm firmly convinced they only know how to grow 6 strains total. Its all I've seen. GSD and Breakwater have that in common.

Usually, when I make my appointment I never wait probably max 10minutes. I'm here today arrived 3 minutes before my appointment. (Appointment 1230pm) I usually do Curbside each time. I text a number and wait for a text back and they come bring my order to my car. The reply they gave me was " we are open inside if you still like to do Curbside let us know." I reply yes and I hope I get my order quick because over 6 patients went in before me and as the front lady said " some are walk-ins and some appointment but the walk-ins and the rest get to all go infront if me. Whats the point of the appointment?unprofessional. Unsatisfied. And very disappointed. Front desk lady was very nice though and went to the back to ask her colleague she had a Curbside waiting.Waited just 25 with the mouth I got.God bless u all.
Everyone whom works there are super nice and friendly. My girlfriend and I both have had horrible luck with curaleaf cartridges. Many people have said it before. They are not worth 60 to 65 dollars for a .5 pen thats half filled. On top of that they don't work on the 2 vape pens we have. But the delta 8 pens we buy at a vape store works.So i have in the past bought none filled cartridges from the vape store and emptied the curaleaf ones in them. It is a very simple but can be messy and you can lose some if not careful.

I come here every month solely because if convenience. It is not an issue that you must make an appointment to go. However, they are extremely slow for curbside pick up. Why? I am always early and send the arrival text, yet they dont respond for 10-15 mins after my appointment time. I made an appointment and paid with CanPay. It is so frustrating when curbside pickup should be quick and seamless, but I always end up waiting here 30 minutes. I dont know what is wrong inside there but they are extremely slow. The service is the biggest issue this place has.Zenleaf is amazing and better fastest and easiest process
Another patient physically threatened me in their parking lot because I asked him to pick up his litter that he had thrown on the ground. GSDU Safety's response was to have me move parking spots away from him. The manager was made aware of the situation and the other patient was still served. Seriously??? Pathetic.
Customer service was good but the bad news is though recreational is legal the state is not giving out permits for recreational so without medical approval it's a no go

Easy process. Be sure to make appointment in advance. For me there are 2 downsides to this location. First, parking spaces are almost always filled as there aren’t that many. Second, wish there was a better product selection. Overall, it was a fast, safe, and decent experience if your not looking for parking.

Due to location, I have picked GSD Union location as my primary...if my 1st experience is bad like many others I'm reading about, I will definitely be switching dispensaries. Shame too, this place is brand new. UPDATE - it will take 4 days for me to have a virtual meeting before I can schedule a pick up. I honestly think 10 min time frames for appointments is the main problem. LUCKILY if you go to this location, you can go to their other locations in Woodbridge and Eatontown...will edit this review after my first pick up.
Employees were extremely rude and unhelpful. I arrived when they opened, waited until the open sign was lit, and then proceeded inside. They told me they weren't open and not to listen to the sign and then handed me a paper and told me to go sit in my car. My order was ready for pickup since I ordered the night before and it still took 20 minutes to receive the order. Terrible employees, you're better off going to Woodbridge or Eatontown. Absolutely ridiculous.
Be prepared wait an hour+. The woman helping me came outside, tried using card and it didn’t work. She went back inside.. never came back out. 30 minutes went by and she was seen leaving the premises lol. She did not acknowledge my car.Never have any strains. NJ DISPOS SUCK
This happened to me in Woodbridge. However I want to make sure everyone sees my experience.Was given an appt for the following day but it said “pickup today”. I drive over an hour with my toddler to get told after waiting for an HOUR that they are sorry it has to be the scheduled day/time. Despite the poor choice of wording on their message to “fix” their scheduling issue.I wasted 3+ hours on an error on their side to get told off. “ Unfortunately, we are fully booked today. We have scheduled times in order to reduce wait times and better assist all patients. Please come back at your scheduled appointment time.”I am a patient. I waited. It is not my fault your system is not working properly. I won’t be doing business here again.

The apt system is a terrible way to operate what’s essentially a pharmacy. Only thing they have that’s worth it is high potency flower. The selection is terrible and the pricing is awful. 65$ for an 8th of bud that tests at 18% talk about ripping ppl off... it doesn’t even affect you. NJ legislation needs to make medicine easier. It’s not entirely their fault this state is so backwards in everything it does.

The negative reviews are in my opinion true.the positive ones in my opinion are paid advisers. Extrodinarily overpriced and lozenges are VERY weak.it would take 3 to feel the effects ..and has a VERY sleepy sedative to it ..i am assuming the 1percent cbd ????????♀️
I need to stop changing my review about this place they have Top Quality flower (GMO cookies my personal favorite) and I enjoy their exclusive Garden State cartridges. The ordering is simple as long as you get an available appointment and they have friendly staff ready to answer your questions. I only wish they have flower available often because I rather spend my $ here then the local corner guy.
I went there with a friend that needed to pick up his stuff, he had an appointment and also ordered ahead, but once we got there, we waited for almost an hour just to get a simple cartridge. Maybe they were making it on site and that's why it took so long? I don't know but if you are coming here be ready to wait for a long time in order to get your stuff. The only reason why they are not getting 1 star instead is because they weren't rude.

Great carts, great flowers and great staff/service. I also frequent the Woodbridge location as well. I just wished they have flower on the menu often, now it seems like they only have carts n lozenges even at their other locations for the last few days this doesn't look promising.
*Worst website & ordering system, hands down. Most of the time it does not even load and there is a time frame you need to place your order. No excuse for this nonsense.* As others have said, GSD has good product that is never, ever in stock. A year ago I could come here and fill an entire months RX. Now, you need to be very lucky to find any product in stock and they have purchase limits (like 1/4 ounce). This new union location is located in an even busier, more dangerous spot than the Woodbridge one (hard to believe!). The curbside pick up requires you to get out and wait in a line to give them your info INSIDE before you can go wait in your car for your order. I suppose it’s not really their fault that NJ has a pathetic number of options for their MMJ patients. I’m ready to move to PA.

I always came here for my shake cbd and thc. Always 5 star. Now they never have it. Union or Woodbridge. I guess the are not making shakes anymore. Everything is vape now. I make my own oil and need shakes. I guess I will have to look for another place .

The growing has gone down in Quality buds are loose , bubble gum used to be nice big flowers, nice to the touch , now it’s like Nigerian Hayes gorilla glue number four , light bud no texture, nothing for nothing I stop buying GG4, now you doing the same for bubble gum , the taste is there but very weak and smal lose buds , Mini buds with no texture
I’m regular customer and came there twice and when I got home notices someone had opened the jars and I really like going there but something got to give DON’T OPEN THE PRODUCT BUY YOUR OWN

This dispensary should be ashamed to sell its products. Their “flowers” are machine trimmed and the buds have no structural integrity. For $67/eighth out the door it is clear this place values profit over its patients.Go to Harmony if you want to see what true flower should look like. I can guarantee the employees would not consume the products they sell. Disgraceful

Hard working, Empathetic and Friendly, really try to get you help with what you need. Many seem to be very Educated concerning strains and what they are good for, medically.
Garden State dispo sells Gas. hands down the best buds I have purchased as a medical patient and couldnt be more pleased. Props to the grow team at GSD and can't wait to keep coming back.

Went from bud to vaping,oil is strong and odorless and in my opinion lasts longer.if you're lungs can handle it, vaping is the way to go!!

First time visiting. Many kind and courteous staff, laid back atmosphere, good bud when available. The Super lemon haze lets me function again. I want to thank the budtender who gave me actual knowledgeable information on it.
You dont need to Call!!Went in My first time No Appointment needed. They set me up Fast as a first Time Visitor. The product is Good just wait for your Favorite strain and Stock up .I read all the bad reviews but was Surprised in that I think those reviews where during Launch. At this Moment this Dispensary has yet to let me down.

Nice place and fully stocked with a good choice of buds. Good selection of high quality buds. Decent prices as well.Edit: the place is nice when they are fully stocked which is seems they rarely are.

$68 for an 1/8th of dry flower... harmony does 1/8th for $60 and quality dosn't even compare. Don't waste time or money going to GSD Woodbridge or Union and make the trip to Harmony if you want better medicine for lower cost. Though they do have great GMO cookies which isnt dry and the bud is actually fire testing at legit friggen 36 percent THC. no joke GMO cookies from here is fire and its worth buying so i have mixed feelings about this place but this is a very honest review.

But, over the last few months their bud has gotten better and better. They are always stocked with bud that has at least 23% THC. Not sure what else you guys need but it does me just fine.Anthony is my favorite bud tender. Super sweet guy, takes his time with you. He gives great advice when it comes to buying shake vs bud, each strains has its pros and cons with shake. Everyone in there including security is real cool, I've never felt uncomfortable there.Location is great swing by while running errands, always a quick wait time.

Their service inside the store is good but the person who checks you in with a white coat, he is one of the rudest people. I was there once and that was the last time.
They never answer the phone and twice have screwed up my online order causing me expensive mistakes. Staff needs to concentrate on patients and not their iPhone. Harmony is currently having mold issues, nowhere left to go nearby . GSD Union lost my business.

They never have anything in stock, when they come out with a good strain it only lasts a couple hours, for anyone working- forget about it, by the time you arrive there is nothing left. the other day I checked their menu and it said they had cartridges in stock, drove thirty minutes to them just for them to tell me they were all out of EVERYTHING and their excuse was someone probably just did not update the website, I sent an email to management; no response. It made me furious, they are super unprofessional, I'm sure some of the employees buy the good strains as soon as they do come out and that is part of the problem and why they always run out quick. This is a mediocre place, if I could give 0 stars I would. Harmony dispensary all the way.

I've only tried a few different dispensaries in the months of having my prescription and I'd have to say so far it's the best smoke around always fresh and sticky
