I love the people who work for the owner, truly the only reason I’ve stayed this long. The price gouging is outrageous and the owner should be ashamed. There are many patients in need of medical marijuana for numerous amounts of things, like I said the owner should be ashamed. I’d rather drive an hour away to Apothecary in Lafayette than keep giving this money hungry “man” money ( I’ve given WAY too much already ). Capitol wellness is only 30 min away from me but check out the prices at their dispensary at Apothecary, you’ll see why the extra 30 minutes isn’t that bad😊

The staff is amazing, whoever owns the business should thank their lucky stars they have found who they found to work here. Seriously the best people. The owner is obviously money hungry, the fact an 1/8th costs 50$ is absurd, you can literally buy it for cheaper on the street. The price gouging of MEDICATION has gone too far. Slowly but surely the prices keep going up and the "quality" goes down. You end up paying twice the amount for weed half as strong, you lose twice. I have friend in other states where they can buy 1 ounce for 60$ with their medical card, there is no price change for THC% strength between products, and they have regular discounts. Louisiana is a joke, this isn't meant to help people get off pain pills, it is meant to milk their wallets.Awesome staff, the prices and value is awful. Go buy from a dealer on the street. You will get way more value.

I am thrilled to have weed available legally.Pros: Access, location, staff is nice. Cons: Cost. The owner of Capitol Wellness is robbing us blind - straight from a suppliers mouth. Your mark up must be off the chain. Maybe you should put your patients needs first and lower prices, start same day ordering/delivery/pickup and stay open longer hours like they do in every other dispensary across the country. You should also offer significant specials like they do as well. It’s ridiculous to pay so much and have to either wait two days to order in advance, or take an hour plus away from work to walk in. How does it feel knowing that the majority of your patients harbor resentment every time they have to overpay and decide between your medical M and regular scripts or groceries. Meanwhile, how is that addition on your oversized home coming along?We love you but we can only bend over so many times and continue to pay these prices long term to get what we need. The illegal sales are through the roof because you are not remotely affordable for most people who need it the most.Do better.

Good Day Farms (a company that is growing for this Pharmacy) *LOWERED THEIR PRICES*, so that the pharmacy could lower theirs. This greedy owner HAS NOT lowered this pharmacy’s prices. But you can easily find pictures of himself everywhere in a beautiful home & flaunting all of the money he makes. I don’t know if he thinks he looks cool, but he looks like a d-bag. And I know someone who works at the farm who has told me about them lowering prices this first hand, so don’t try to pretend. You don’t have the most competitive prices, YOU are one of the most expensive. We’re going back to street.

I hate to have to do this because the staff themselves are extremely nice. However, the payment system Aeropay is broken and has been for months, and I never receive any help with it. I will now have to go to the bank each time and use cash, and wait in a much longer line simply because Aeropay dislikes me. This is just wrong. I will be happy to update this review to five stars if Aeropay gets their act together or CWS gets a different payment processor.edit: Aeropay is NOT working for everyone. important features are completely broken. they may say it is working, but your mileage may vary. for me, it was nonfunctional and support couldn't care less over many months of my patience.

Great place. I see some people complaining about wait times. I was a new patient, so naturally it would take me longer than others. I was still in and out pretty fast. I had no problem with the few minutes I waited for my profile to be setup, take my order, reprocess my order because I wanted to add something to my order, and check me out. A strain might be $15 or $20 one week, the next week it's $60 for the same batch of the same strain; nothing has changed but the price. They also used to have $30 and $39 strains but I haven't seen those in at least 2 weeks, with the exception of $30 Big Detroit Energy (which is one of their worst-rated strains) and that sold out within the day. I check the website multiple times daily, so I am usually on top of things when checking the pricing. This place is robbing medical patients blind, and it is absolutely disgusting. I am thinking about transferring my recommendation elsewhere, despite the distance, because suddenly Capitol has gone from one of the cheapest pharmacies to one of the most expensive ones.The owner may try to chime in with, "we have something at a price point for everyone". That is an outright lie. I checked this morning and there were 19 strains of flower; every single one of them at least $60 per 3.5 gram bag (an eighth of an ounce). Again, some of these were $15 or $20 not too long ago.This dispensary has a monopoly on the region and they know it, so they continue to gouge medical patients. Something has to be done about this. We were told "prices will come down to normal levels once flower is rolled out". Well, that was over a year and a half ago, and almost nothing has changed. Now you get a cute little jar sometimes so you feel less ripped off, but that seems to be the only tangible difference for the patients. They just continue to feed us lies and rake in the cash. We need to boycott this greedy place.Capitol will sometimes try to blame the growers for the pricing, but obviously they can lower the pricing by quite a bit because they seemed to be doing pretty well selling those $15, $20, $30, and $39 eighths. Now everything is $60+ again. Somebody make it make sense, please.EDIT: Please better inform your staff so they know what they are doing, Randy. And more importantly, PLEASE don't be so greedy. Top tier customer service and support! I recently purchased a device that turned out to be defective and also had a few minor issues with an order. I emailed CWS on a Saturday when I discovered the device was defective expecting to hear back from them on Monday. Instead Mr Randy emailed me the same day assuring that I would be taken care of! They were prepared to have me taken care of as soon as Monday morning! I suffer from ptsd, depression, and severe anxiety so social interactions are not easy for me. Mr Randy, Miss Danielle, the pharmacist- absolutely everyone at the pharmacy were so nice when I went in to get the issues resolved. I greatly appreciate how easy they made everything. Mandarin Cookies at 19% for $20 an 1/8. This week there are another abundance of products (Cookies mainly) that are lower % for $66. At 4.45, the jerk of a security guard told me i could not come in today because they were busy.They have a captured market and can't service the customers. They treat customers like garbage. If it's not one thing with this place it's another. One of their pharmacist's left and it messed up my prescription and my recommendations. They had received the recommendation via fax and refused to look. Instead of them fixing it they embarrassed me in line like it was something I had done wrong. Plus their prices are outrageous and they are always out of product, especially the good product.

I’ve been in physical pain for a while and doctors have tried everything and nothing helped, my dr recommended this place and I am grateful that I have finally been able to get the help and pain relief I need! The staff is very friendly and understanding! The pharmacist explains everything about the products they offer and he allows you to ask any questions or express any concerns without any judgment at all! This was an amazing experience! The building was very nice and clean also! They definitely don’t take forever either! There were a lot of people in the waiting room but they got to them all in a timely manner! Tbh I didn’t think I would feel the slightest bit normal again since I’ve had chronic pain issues… but I’m so thankful this natural option helped far more than any of the medications the “big” pharmacies try to push on people!! I highly recommend this pharmacy! It’s heaven sent!

Check out who owns the growers and dispensaries, and how politically connected they are, and ask yourself if this is by design or chance. The highest potency buds are used for prerolls (most expensive option for medical patients) and the lower qualify stuff is available in 3.5g bags of flower at inflated prices.If you want an example of how NOT to run a program and dispensaries, look no further than Louisiana, the worst of the worse. The staff has always been friendly, knowledgeable, and professional--that's what matters most in my eyes. There are a good bit of (honestly valid) concerns with prices and wait times, but its a new program trying to serve A LOT of people. If you walk in expect a decent wait, but the waiting room is spacious and there's TVs to keep you distracted. Ordering online is TOTALLY the way to go though. My orders are always ready on time and I usually wait no longer than 30 minutes from the time I walk in the door. You also get the ability to see what they have in stock, and know how much cash is needed before you even arrive. Capitol Wellness can't control the state's medical program, and by extension the higher prices, but do their best to facilitate it. They're running the business as best as they can, and that's why I'll continue to have my prescription filled here.Tl;dr: Order online, and manage expectations--there is a small supply and a massive demand. Capitol Wellness does everything they can to meet the demand.

Nice lobby. Staff are not well educated in the products and unable to provide lab results for products. Patients access to information needs improvement. Patients in the lobby typically have no idea what to get or what the different products are. How about showing testing specs online? I originally had a higher review but changed it hopefully for improvement. GDF and Ilera Holistic should be ashamed of the price they are charging for sub-par products. They don’t overcharge as much in other states they operate in.

The Capitol wellness staff deserve every single one of these stars. With the release of flower and the large uptick in patients, they have handled the transition seamlessly.Clean, safe, private and beautiful facility. I was left unable to walk after an accident in 2020. All of the medications I was being given pre and post surgery and throughout my recovery were affecting my quality of life, especially as a mother. I joined the MM program after my husband found that it may benefit my symptoms. It has been life changing to be myself again, and I have a Capitol Wellness to thank for their guidance and recommendations. If you have a concern as a patient, it will always be addressed properly. Very happy to have found healing at this facility.

All of the medications I was given pre and post surgery were affecting my quality of life, especially as a mother. I tried many options for pain relief but nothing helped until I went to Capitol Wellness Solutions.Update 2-4-2022This is still a good pharmacy but ever since the release of flower, patient care has taken a nosedive. While most employees are nothing but kind and helpful here, there are also some that can make you feel extremely judged and uncomfortable when interacting with them. No one can be held accountable though, which is troublesome. My experience here used to be happy, now I struggle to find the courage to visit the pharmacy due to a rude employee. I have bad social anxiety, which is one of the MANY reasons I use medical cannabis. Should I have to be scared or nervous to walk into my pharmacy? No. But am I? Yes. Did I bring it up to the staff at Capitol? Yes. Has it been properly addressed and handled? No, it has been kindly dismissed and rugswept. Not a happy customer or patient at this time. I make an hour drive to this pharmacy for 5-10 minutes of being in a place that makes me happy. I feel as I have lost that and it saddens me deeply. Hope someone in upper management can fix this. Rude staff needs to be addressed and retrained or replaced.

Employees are as friendly as they need to be. 1 star is for complete lack of transparency regarding the situations pertaining to flower.Every other "pharmacy" in the state has been forthcoming with prices and selection for flower. Some pharmacies went so far as to modify their operating hours, as to better serve the patients in their given area.Capitol Wellness, however, has been completely radio silent and left the BR metro area's patient base in the dark. Some things, like pricing, may be beyond Capitol Wellness' control. Providing information to the patients they serve is well within their control.They failed. Do better.

Very pleased with Capitol and its operations. The building is immaculate and has a great energy. The pharmacist and all the staff are extremely courteous. Everything runs smoothly here and it feels easy, so to speak. I never feel uncomfortable picking up my meds or asking questions. I don’t understand why it is so expensive here. I will probably continue to have her mail them to me unless the prices get better here. I get 4 ounces of THC drops for $135 also.

I love the people who work for the owner, truly the only reason I’ve stayed this long. The price gouging is outrageous and the owner should be ashamed. There are many patients in need of medical marijuana for numerous amounts of things, like I said the owner should be ashamed. I’d rather drive an hour away to Apothecary in Lafayette than keep giving this money hungry “man” money ( I’ve given WAY too much already ). Capitol wellness is only 30 min away from me but check out the prices at their dispensary at Apothecary, you’ll see why the extra 30 minutes isn’t that bad😊

The owner is obviously money hungry, the fact an 1/8th costs 50$ is absurd, you can literally buy it for cheaper on the street. The price gouging of MEDICATION has gone too far. Slowly but surely the prices keep going up and the "quality" goes down. You end up paying twice the amount for weed half as strong, you lose twice. I have friend in other states where they can buy 1 ounce for 60$ with their medical card, there is no price change for THC% strength between products, and they have regular discounts. Louisiana is a joke, this isn't meant to help people get off pain pills, it is meant to milk their wallets.Awesome staff, the prices and value is awful. Go buy from a dealer on the street. You will get way more value.

I am thrilled to have weed available legally.Pros: Access, location, staff is nice. Cons: Cost. The owner of Capitol Wellness is robbing us blind - straight from a suppliers mouth. Your mark up must be off the chain. Maybe you should put your patients needs first and lower prices, start same day ordering/delivery/pickup and stay open longer hours like they do in every other dispensary across the country. You should also offer significant specials like they do as well. It’s ridiculous to pay so much and have to either wait two days to order in advance, or take an hour plus away from work to walk in. How does it feel knowing that the majority of your patients harbor resentment every time they have to overpay and decide between your medical M and regular scripts or groceries. Meanwhile, how is that addition on your oversized home coming along?We love you but we can only bend over so many times and continue to pay these prices long term to get what we need. The illegal sales are through the roof because you are not remotely affordable for most people who need it the most.Do better.

But you can easily find pictures of himself everywhere in a beautiful home & flaunting all of the money he makes. I don’t know if he thinks he looks cool, but he looks like a d-bag. I will now have to go to the bank each time and use cash, and wait in a much longer line simply because Aeropay dislikes me. This is just wrong. So, 1 star earned for that.However, don't believe the lies from the owner about prices. The prices are absolutely outrageous and there is no rhyme or reason to it. A strain might be $15 or $20 one week, the next week it's $60 for the same batch of the same strain; nothing has changed but the price. They also used to have $30 and $39 strains but I haven't seen those in at least 2 weeks, with the exception of $30 Big Detroit Energy (which is one of their worst-rated strains) and that sold out within the day. I check the website multiple times daily, so I am usually on top of things when checking the pricing. This place is robbing medical patients blind, and it is absolutely disgusting. I am thinking about transferring my recommendation elsewhere, despite the distance, because suddenly Capitol has gone from one of the cheapest pharmacies to one of the most expensive ones.The owner may try to chime in with, "we have something at a price point for everyone". That is an outright lie. I checked this morning and there were 19 strains of flower; every single one of them at least $60 per 3.5 gram bag (an eighth of an ounce). Again, some of these were $15 or $20 not too long ago.This dispensary has a monopoly on the region and they know it, so they continue to gouge medical patients. Something has to be done about this. We were told "prices will come down to normal levels once flower is rolled out". Well, that was over a year and a half ago, and almost nothing has changed. Now you get a cute little jar sometimes so you feel less ripped off, but that seems to be the only tangible difference for the patients. They just continue to feed us lies and rake in the cash. We need to boycott this greedy place.Capitol will sometimes try to blame the growers for the pricing, but obviously they can lower the pricing by quite a bit because they seemed to be doing pretty well selling those $15, $20, $30, and $39 eighths. I emailed CWS on a Saturday when I discovered the device was defective expecting to hear back from them on Monday. Instead Mr Randy emailed me the same day assuring that I would be taken care of! They were prepared to have me taken care of as soon as Monday morning! I suffer from ptsd, depression, and severe anxiety so social interactions are not easy for me. Mr Randy, Miss Danielle, the pharmacist- absolutely everyone at the pharmacy were so nice when I went in to get the issues resolved. I greatly appreciate how easy they made everything. If it's not one thing with this place it's another. One of their pharmacist's left and it messed up my prescription and my recommendations. They had received the recommendation via fax and refused to look. Instead of them fixing it they embarrassed me in line like it was something I had done wrong. The highest potency buds are used for prerolls (most expensive option for medical patients) and the lower qualify stuff is available in 3.5g bags of flower at inflated prices.If you want an example of how NOT to run a program and dispensaries, look no further than Louisiana, the worst of the worse. Now that you can pick up at the check-in desk if you paid online, this has decreased the wait time for 1.5 hours to less than 4 minutes (unless there's a line inside). My suggestion: schedule to pick up during non-peak times.Of course, having a broader selection of items would be great but I know that's not their decision.

The staff has always been friendly, knowledgeable, and professional--that's what matters most in my eyes. There are a good bit of (honestly valid) concerns with prices and wait times, but its a new program trying to serve A LOT of people. If you walk in expect a decent wait, but the waiting room is spacious and there's TVs to keep you distracted. Ordering online is TOTALLY the way to go though. My orders are always ready on time and I usually wait no longer than 30 minutes from the time I walk in the door. You also get the ability to see what they have in stock, and know how much cash is needed before you even arrive. Capitol Wellness can't control the state's medical program, and by extension the higher prices, but do their best to facilitate it. They're running the business as best as they can, and that's why I'll continue to have my prescription filled here.Tl;dr: Order online, and manage expectations--there is a small supply and a massive demand. Capitol Wellness does everything they can to meet the demand.

Patients in the lobby typically have no idea what to get or what the different products are. How about showing testing specs online? I originally had a higher review but changed it hopefully for improvement. GDF and Ilera Holistic should be ashamed of the price they are charging for sub-par products. They don’t overcharge as much in other states they operate in.

While most employees are nothing but kind and helpful here, there are also some that can make you feel extremely judged and uncomfortable when interacting with them. No one can be held accountable though, which is troublesome. My experience here used to be happy, now I struggle to find the courage to visit the pharmacy due to a rude employee. I have bad social anxiety, which is one of the MANY reasons I use medical cannabis. Should I have to be scared or nervous to walk into my pharmacy? No. But am I? Yes. Did I bring it up to the staff at Capitol? Yes. Has it been properly addressed and handled? No, it has been kindly dismissed and rugswept. Not a happy customer or patient at this time. I make an hour drive to this pharmacy for 5-10 minutes of being in a place that makes me happy. I feel as I have lost that and it saddens me deeply. Hope someone in upper management can fix this. Rude staff needs to be addressed and retrained or replaced.

Employees are as friendly as they need to be. 1 star is for complete lack of transparency regarding the situations pertaining to flower.Every other "pharmacy" in the state has been forthcoming with prices and selection for flower. Some pharmacies went so far as to modify their operating hours, as to better serve the patients in their given area.Capitol Wellness, however, has been completely radio silent and left the BR metro area's patient base in the dark. Some things, like pricing, may be beyond Capitol Wellness' control. Providing information to the patients they serve is well within their control.They failed. Do better.
