Natalie was very professional and helpful with my order. Very good personality and knowledgeable about your products. I do have one complaint however. Your veterans discount should apply to all products even if they are already discounted. If everyone gets the discount there is no discount for veterans who serve this country and need these products for PTSD and such think about that do the veterans a favor.
It was a pleasure to be waited on by Josephine. She was very upbeat and funny. Made my day to meet her.
Had a fantastic experience at the counter today with July. She was extremely helpful describing how i can take advantage of their discount system and had a fantastic attitude. She’s great all around. This is not the first time I’ve gotten standout customer service at Sunnyside Beloit. They have a very professional crew of employees who make my visits very pleasant. I highly recommend this location.
Today I went in for my order I placed online and had a smooth and casual experience. Everybody is aways happy and smiling. Plus, my wellness advisor Adam was very helping. I told him I had forgot to grab a product and didn't want to lose my spot in line so he got it for me. While providing excellent customer service . It was over all a great time.
Paul gave amazing service! I absolutely recommend heading in around noon during the week. I also receive amazing service but the employees really have time to have a conversation with you and maybe have a laugh or two during your visit.
The prices could definitely be better. I enjoy the stamp booklet, but what I love the most is Laura's warm and kind. Engagement with every customer she meets no matter the time of day.
Nickolas Patrick and Cody give the best customer service! Answering any questions you have and helping you get the best deals. They both make you feel so comfortable. The best employees by far!
Tiana helped me last week at my visit. She found the strain I wanted but it wasn’t showing up on the website. Super helpful super kind and respectful! This is the type of service that has me coming back! Great staff great selections and the rewards card is hella dope! Mad love and respect!
Sunnyside has great products! The staff and security are friendly and welcoming. I wish there were more options for edibles.I often find products on sale, and there is also a rewards system. There is plenty of parking. It's truly an enjoyable place!
The people that work here are very nice. It always smells amazing walking in. The lines always go pretty quickly. The only thing that would make it an even better experience is having a menu of sorts so it would be easier to order. Other than that, I highly recommend coming here.
Must be paying for good reviews lately. Tried to go there on Fathers Day, South Beloit lot was packed, figured I'd go down to Rockford. Parking lot packed there too with an hour wait they said. Also curious how long it'll take S Beloit to fix the hole from the last car that went through the wall. Racking in all that WI money, you'd think it would be taken care of quick. And before the owner says your workers do their best, we know most do. It's you that's cheap and robbing WI people and not hiring staff to get people in and out quickly. All you waiting an hour for open and short jars, why would they change when you keep going there and buying?
Cody is so knowledgeable, is very pleasurable and friendly to chat with, always Recognizes me and is so willing to answer any questions I have! If I could rate him a 10 star I would. Very kind and always puts a smile on my face and leaves me feeling in a good mood!
This place has always met and/or exceeded my expectations. I have had very good experiences with short waits & easy parking. I did have a one-time long wait but it was a holiday weekend so somewhat expected. The staff have always been friendly, respectful, and helpful without being rude or condescending. The products have been consistently good. I “highly”recommend this store.
This sunny side makes life super easy and convenient. Yosly has has been my wellness advisor multiple times and is always been super patient and helpful. She’s been really knowledgeable in answering any questions I’ve had. I truly appreciate this kind of service.
Wow Thank you Randall and Natalie for a great 2 days in a row at your dispensary! My husband and I love going to South beloit and being flooded with all their knowledge and skills on Cannabis. We even celebrated our 420 at South Beloit. The energy was so fun and light like 420 should be!! Thank you guys for all the help you do and the patients with questions that i have. You care like your title, WELLNESS ADVISOR. You took the time to worry about me and my wellness. You showed me care and kindness. Ignore the bad reviews and keep being beautiful people.
Dylan waited on us and he was amazing!! He knew so much about the product that I was getting. Advised me the best way to store it and even recommended things for future purchases. As a Veteran, he immediately Thanked me for my service, then I Thanked him for his service to your clients! He enjoys his work and he is very good at it!! Thank You Dylan, and I will see you next time!!! Awesome experience!
Fairly quick easy in & out. You need to know the best times to stop in. Friendly staff. Dylan has served me a number of times & he’s always got on a happy face!
Dylan went above and beyond any customer care I've had before here I've been there quite a few times to your place since you opened. He was truly interested in how I felt about product and wanted to direct me to other products you sold that I could try based on what I enjoyed already. It was a really nice experienceThanks Dylan
The worst dispensary in Illinois. Staff is rude and condescending. Wait times are astronomical. Don't go if you don't have an hour to stand in line. Usually has the whole room full of people with only 2 employees working while we watch a lot of other employees standing around. Also they let most of their employees take lunch at the same time. Ever hear of staggering lunch breaks? Why is it that Rise and Ivy Hall don't have these problems? They are both smaller and in much more populated areas. Go to ANY other dispensary for a pleasant experience. Avoid Sunnyside at all costs unless you're trying to learn how not to run a dispensary. I lived in Oregon and Colorado and this level of incompetence would never happen. Illinois is already 3X more expensive than Oregon , Colorado, and Michigan and to also have to deal with rude people who don't know what they're doing is inexcusable. I used to come here pretty often until I found Ivy Hall and Rise. Never more than a 5 minute wait at either. I won't be back to Sunnyside ever again. Save yourself the aggravation and don't shop here.
I come here often because it's the closest to me, even at 45 minutes from my house. Wait times are wild sometimes though. I've been told by cashiers working that they are purposely understaffed for profit. They unionized and got a pay increase, so they won't hire more people, making the line extremely slow. Sometimes it's worth it to just make the extra drive to Rockford (smaller store and less wait time). The security guys and most cashiers are always friendly though!
Wait time was 3 seconds Staff was so cool. Answered all my questions and help me make the best choices within a budget. I would definitely recommend this place. But go early, I hear it's packed all the time. Thanks again, and I will absolutely return to see yall!
I used to really like this place, but there has been a recent shift in staff attitude. The last couple Wellness Advisors I have worked with have all been very condescending. First Ashley, and now Benny. Benny gave me $7 change back in quarter after sh!t talking my order. I can only assume he was having a bad day. I now only shop here because the next closest dispensary is ~25 away. Wouldn't advise their recommendations or whatever "new" products they are pushing.EDIT: Just went back because I was around. While they can't accept any returns they do sell and display USED products. Careful what you pick from displays. Changed to 1 star 🤮
Had to update my review, place provides quality products for the going rate at dispensaries. My only issue is the service. The people that are there are great, but how are you going to have only 3 people working the registers on a Saturday when you got 14 or so terminals? Makes for a very unnecessarily long experience. Especially when they gotta showcase everything you ordered to you. No offense, but I know what I'm getting. I placed the order. I wouldn't expect the liquor store clerk to be like, "..and here we got one 12 pack of our Busch Light" and so on. Maybe have 2 lines, one for the people that have questions, or need explanation for what they're buying, and one for the novice consumers that would like to just grab and go.
Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. For a dispensary manager, the guy is obscenely uptight, and downright rude and disrespectful.I was yelled at by the manager and told to wait outside in the cold for the fault of expressing surprise that my valid ID (which they had previously accepted in the exact same condition), would not be accepted. I did not raise my voice and was completely compliant, yet the manager decided to escalate the matter for no reason other than the fact that he lacks the people skills to work in this kind of environment. If you want to be treated like a customer or human being, I suggest you look elsewhere.Edit: I’d also like to clarify that my issue is not the fact that they didn’t accept my valid ID, nor even the fact that I was told to wait outside in the cold despite being completely compliant. These things can be explained away by strictness of policy, which is fine albeit inconvenient. My issue is having been so utterly disrespected in the process. The manager of this dispensary needs to be gone yesterday, as he seems to be incapable of interacting with customers without smug, ugly condescension. I was a loyal customer, and would have continued to be if I had not been treated so poorly. For whatever a stranger’s word is worth, I recommend you find another dispensary lest a single issue comes up and you may be forced to interact with this person.
SSDI10 discount is not honored. inperson proven not honored 9/25 and 9/29. -12/30 update. even more disappointing. Long lines out the door today at 10:25 am. NO BATHROOMS had to piss like a race horse and after waiting 35 minutes was brought into another room. Bathroom was out of service
The wait time for starters; ridiculous. I stopped here 2 weeks ago on my way to Chicago not aware of the time I would be waiting. After 2 hrs and paying over price I walked out. I get it was a Friday. However my trip today was on a Wednesday at 11:30 and I waited just as long. I preordered both times but that doesn’t make a difference. This is because I’m in the same line as people who haven’t ordered which takes longer. There are people constantly cutting in line and I’m not sure why.The only reason I came back was because of the scratch off I received a 50% discount on a brand I like. Except when I went to use it at was pretty much worthless. It said not to be used with other promotions; understandable I’ve worked retail. Normally you would give the customer the better of 2 promotions. I got the 15% instead of 50% so with the discount I end up save $20 instead of $60-75 I should have. Factor the gas, and I was probably better off seeing the local weed man and save time. Also my order was wrong so I had to wait for that to be fixed.Sunnyside be better
The problem with this place is that it’s essentially a monopoly on Wisconsin customers. So they abuse that. They know we have nowhere else to go. If another retail establishment made you wait over an hour in line (AFTER PLACING AN ORDER ONLINE!) most people would leave and never come back.So I would advise the owners to stop being cheap and hire more people. Or as soon as we have another option we’re ghost.(UPDATE: Thanks for the reply. We all know your employees are working as fast as they can. The problem is the number of employees. You have 20 registers and only 5 cashiers working. The problem isn’t your employees. It’s your owner’s greed. To make old people wait in line for over an hour at 2pm on a Monday???)
I worked with Tkeyah today and she was great. Very knowledgeable about the products and super helpful picking put the right vape. I also appreciated her letting me know about the "Scrarch & Stash" promotion. Another great experience at Sunnyside. Julia B.
Every time I have been there everyone is always happy and helpful! Even the other customers are happy!! Imagine that!! Wow I Love this place!!Special Kudos out to Nick and Dylan!! U guys are awesome!Nick did you like the smudge stick?
Always a line. Always. Even on a Wednesday at 2pm. Not to mention overpriced. They have plenty of registers but no employees. 1/3rd of the registers are being used at any given time. Sometimes the line wraps around the building. Employees come back from lunch breaks high and sluggish. They don’t want to work and sometimes have an attitude. Ordering online is pointless as they don’t have a separate line for online orders. You have to wait in line with everyone including walk ins. Line is usually filled with depressed middle aged men, it feels like I’m going to jail when I visit this dispensary. Very sterile. Lacks culture. Not the friendliest atmosphere. Since it’s located at the border seems like ownership is running a monopoly. As soon as another dispensary opens up nearby I’ll be going there. Also, the door to exit the facility is broken as it swings and slams open and shut. They should get that fixed. It’s been like that for months. They should also hire more employees if they know demand is so high (again, registers are always half empty) and preferably ones ready to work and that don’t seem high and slow when serving the customer. I’ve been to plenty of dispensaries and this is by far the most poorly organized and run. I feel like such a loser when I come here.
After reading many reviews I decided to expand on mine. First of all, God bless everybody at Sunnyside cannabis. Being a retired professional bartender and spent over 45 years and customer service I realize some days are more demanding than others. A disabled veteran and on oxygen. At least feel a little sheepish when I see the long line by Park in a disabled spot get out with my oxygen tank and sometimes it cane. The first people that greet me are the security people at the door they are always so kind and helpful. Lately I haven't been ordering before I get there and they're always very knowledgeable with the products and let me know that getting the discounts that I deserve being a disabled vet. When I get to pick it up there's always a chair for me. I really appreciate everyone there there's always a kind word and a smile to go with that and given the fact that I spent a 45 years in a gratuity based Business. I'm one of the fortunate ones that can afford to share a Jackson with them. To show my appreciation. The one with the smiling eyes I'll have when I get home
Staff is always beyond helpful and super friendly. I’ll just say, the taxes and lines here can get crazy. It’s worth the extra gas to save money at the Rockford location!
Long line. Worth the wait. Very nice location. Air conditioning and lots to look at while you wait.Update: weekdays seem slower, so faster line and they update the shelves with more products. This is my favorite location.
6/30/23Understaffed. Ridiculous waits. It's unbelievable how an industry which exploits a simple plant to such great profit can have people standing in line for over an hour to spend over $100. Like, $100k passed through these doors in the ridiculous time it took to get my two items. Why arrange things in the least efficient way? Why not hire more people? You're the very machine you purported to hate. Shame. If you're going to make people stand in line for 2 hours while price gouging, the least you could do is change the dividers to benches. My back hurts from standing here.Update 7/8/23:Despite the flippant reply from the owner, there is very little evidence of them caring about patrons. The lines remain long. The prices unreasonable. The capitalists are still exploiting. "Peak hours" are known to the owner, yet staffing remains inadequate during these times. The layout is poorly thought out. The efforts at improvement are a sham. I wish I could say these things to the owners. I wish they would care. But they are heartless beings parading themselves as progress in the name of profit. I've been here for an hour. Essentially halfway through the line. There's about twenty registers. Two are open. I'll be using all my rewards on this visit and going elsewhere in the future. RISE has proven a much more considerate venue, although even they are corporate oligarchs.
